I smiled as I trained. I liked training with the team. They thought it was work and they don't like training. I on the other hand really like training. I smiled as I dodged a hit from Robin. He tried punching me again but once again I dodged it easily. I laughed slightly as I grabbed his arm and quickly pinned it behind his back. I kicked his leg out from under him causing him to fall onto the ground.
"Robin failed." The machine said. I let him go and helped him up.
"Are you ok?" I asked him. He nodded and rubbed his arm.
"Yeah I'm good. Looks like I need more training though." He laughing slightly. I laughed with him.
"You're just as good as Nightwing. Still like him?" Robin asked. I blushed and nodded.
"I can't help it. I wish these feelings would change though. I don't think he'd want to date a kid." I said smiling sadly.
"3 years isn't that far." Robin tried.
"Yeah maybe but still. I don't think he sees me like that. Anyway you just need to learn 1 thing then you'll fight better." I said grabbing my water bottle.
"What do I need to learn?" He asked.
"You need to stop overthinking so much. Your muscle memory will help you out of a tough situation but it doesn't kick in if you're overthinking." I explained.
"How do you not think when you fight? You have to think." He said.
"Just let everything flow. Try it some time. I'm going to the locker rooms now. See ya." I said grabbing my bag. I showered and changed quickly before heading to the kitchen. I made 3 pans of cheese enchiladas vegetarian for Garfield. Here it's like if you make something you need to make enough for everyone. I smiled as I took it over to the lounge to eat.
"Hey (Y/n)?" Bart asked. I smiled.
"There are 3 pans on the stove. Go help yourselves." I said smiling. They all ran into the kitchen.
"Don't burn yourselves!" I warned. I heard someone burn themselves. I sighed and walked over.
"Sorry (Y/n)." Jaime said as I walked in. I looked and saw he burned his hand pretty bad from the pan.
"This is why I say be careful in the kitchen." I said healing his hand for him.
"I don't know how you're the same age as us you act like our mom." Bart joked. I smiled.
"You guys are my family and I care about everyone. You guys just act like kids. And Bart I'm only 16." I said putting my dishes in the sink.
"Sure you are. You aren't very fun." Bart challenged.
"Bart that's not the best idea." Beast Boy tried to warn him but Bart didn't listen. This calls for a prank war.
~Time Skip~
That leads us to now. It's been a few weeks and the pranks haven't let up but Bart went way to far this time. I stormed into the lounge in my leggings and a blue shirt. I had my towel and I kept trying to rub the color out of my hair.
"BART IM GOING TO MURDER YOU!" I said trying not to cry. My eyes were glassy and my voice was cracking every time I spoke. I walked in and the girls saw my hair and walked over trying to help me get it out. He was just laughing.
"No Bart you went to far this time." M'gann said trying to help me get the color out.
"Is this permanent?" I asked trying to get rid of the pain on my skin. My hair was a pastel blue now. He laughed nervously.
"Maybe. I thought you'd like the color since you have a crush on Nightwing." He said making me blush bright red.
"What?" I heard his voice say. I turned around and saw Nightwing. I quickly walked away back into the girls locker room before breaking down. I never wanted him to find out. The girls came in and they helped me feel a bit better.
"It's going to be ok gal pal. It'll all blow over." Karen said to make me feel better.
"You know what. Let's give you a makeover. That always makes me feel better." M'gann said. I nodded and smiled a bit.
"Whatever you guys think will look good. I'm ok with anything." I said giving them no restrictions.
"What is it exactly you're worried about
(Y/n)?" Batgirl asked.
"I don't know. I just don't think he would be into me like that." I said sighing. I felt they tugging my hair before I heard them cutting it. Well M'gann was cutting it, Cassie wanted to paint my nails, Batgirl was doing my makeup, and Karen is looking through my locker for a cute outfit.
"I dated him before and we've been friends since middle school. You're his type if that's what you're worried about." She said making me smile.
"Yeah I mean what guy wouldn't fall in love with you. You're an amazing person and a great friend." Cassie said making me feel somewhat better.
"We'll make you look even more beautiful then maybe we'll see our confident (Y/n) again. Blue hair isn't the end of the world. Your natural color will grow back. Some boy who needs him? You've got us always." Karen said. I feel better now. I guess she's right.
"Karen is right. I bet he likes you back." M'gann said.
"Sure he does." I laughed.
~Time Skip~
We all ended up dolling each other up so it wasn't just me. M'gann cut my hair into layers so that it flattered my face before blow drying it so there was a bit of curl, batgirl did natural makeup on me but it still stood out and added a dark red lip for drama, Cassie painted my nails a nice royal blue, and Karen put me in a black tee and some light blue washed out shorts, with my black sneakers. I didn't look gothic surprisingly but I didn't look girly either.
"We look hot." Batgirl said making us all laugh.
"I guess today wasn't so bad." I said laughing.
"Ok my turn. What about ideal trait in a guy?" Batgirl asked.
"Has to have gorgeous eyes." I said smiling.
"Same." All the other girls said before we started laughing.
"Let's go make some pizza." M'gann suggested. We all nodded.
"M'gann let's have (Y/n) show us how so we don't mess it up like last time." Cassie suggested and we all laughed.
"The chef is in the mountain." I laughed as we walked out of the locker room.
"I was thinking just a classic margarita pizza." I said as we walked into the kitchen. We could see the boys looking at us but we didn't say anything. We started cooking and having a bit of fun when Bart came over. I looked at him with a blank look.
"I'm sorry for taking the pranks so far and for the spilling your secret thing I didn't mean too." He apologized. I smiled and threw a handful of flour at his face.
"You are forgiven and I'm done with this prank war." I said turning around. We made a few pizzas and I gave them instructions so that they wouldn't mess up again. Nightwing came over and I could feel my cheeks heat up. This is not a good time to be cutting tomatoes. Everyone was looking making me feel more self conscious. He grabbed the knife in my hand and put it down before grabbing my hand and leading me out of the room. He lead me over to the library. This is my favorite room in the mountain.
"You spend a lot of time here. What would you recommend?" Nightwing asked me. I smiled.
"Well we have the Maze Runner series which in my opinion is one of the best ever. Ummm the hunger games series is also a good one. Oh! The fallen series. Mortal instruments series. Throne of glass series. The shatter me series. Then we have the twilight series and the divergent series but I think Bella is always causing problems and is kinda dramatic. The Harry Potter series is always a good choice." I rambled leading him through the isles of books until he pulled me closer to him.
"So you like the romance, fantasy, adventurous books?" He asked wrapping a arm around my waist. I felt the heat crawl to my cheeks. I nodded.
"A bit of danger is always fun. Keeps life interesting." I mumbled embarrassed. He smiled and leaned in closer to my face. He gave me a light sweet kiss before pulling away and looking at my face.
"You didn't give me a chance to say that I liked you back earlier dummy." He said smiling.
"Hey I'm not a dummy." I pouted. I really want to see his eyes.
"C-can I see your eyes?" I asked unsure if I was allowed too. He looked down and took his mask off. His eyes are absolutely gorgeous. They are a beautiful sky blue.
"Wow. You have gorgeous eyes. Why would you want to hide them?" I said seeing how beautiful they are. He chuckled a bit.
"There's nothing else gorgeous about me?" He joked putting a hand over his heart. I rolled my eyes playfully and flicked his forehead.
"Hey! That was uncalled for." He said rubbing his head.
"I'm sorry do you want me to kiss it better?" I asked playfully. He smiled and nodded his head. I kissed his forehead where I "hurt" him and he laughed.
"You look good with blue hair." He commented making me laugh.
"It's grown on me." I said playing with it.
"When did you start liking me?" I asked him. He thought about it.
"I think it was the first time you visited the Batcave to give Robin a few pointers. I couldn't stop watching you." He said making me blush a bit. That was over a year ago. I smiled.
"Wanna go out some time?" He asked me. I nodded and kissed his cheek.
~Time Skip 3 years later~
"Dick! Come on we're late!" I said putting on my boots. I was in leggings, a white Christmas sweater, and a red coat. We're going to the manor for Christmas. Bruce wanted to have everyone there for Christmas.
"I'm coming. They won't start anything until everyone is there." He said coming into the room and kissing my forehead. I smiled and we left after putting all the presents into the car. I may have gone a bit crazy with presents this year. For some reason this year I was more into the Christmas spirit than normal. When we got there we could hear arguing. We looked at each other.
"Looks like nothing's changed." Dick said smiling. I laughed. I went to grab the presents from the trunk but Dick took the giant sack from me.
"You went all out this year." He said as we went to the door.
"Ok maybe I went a little overboard but I like spoiling my family." I said as I knocked on the door. Alfred let us in and smiled seeing us.
"Master Dick, Miss (Y/n) it's good to see you again." Alfred said.
"It's good to see you too Alfred." I said hugging him.
"(L/n)." Damian said coming over. I smiled and hugged him.
"Hi Dami." I greeted.
"Yo (Y/n) and Dick is here!" Jason called out. I smiled seeing him.
"(Y/n)!" Tim said coming over.
"Bestie!" I said hugging him. We did our secret handshake and laughed.
"Can someone put these under the tree? They're heavy." Dick asked. I rolled my eyes and took them from him.
"This is why I'm the man of the house Dick." I joked.
"That's not what you said last night." He whispered in my ear. I blushed bright red and he took the bag from my hands.
~Time Skip~
We had a fun day. We had a gingerbread house contest which Alfred obviously won, we watched Christmas movies even though Damian thought it was stupid, we ate a lot of good food thanks to Jay and Alfred, and had hot cocoa. Christmas Eve couldn't have been better. Me and Dick are in his old room here. I got out of the shower and changed into one of Dick's shirts and some underwear since it was so warm in the manor. When I came into the room he was already in bed on his phone. I smiled and got into bed next to him. Dick put his phone down and wrapped his arms around me. He started running his hands down my ribs and stomach making me squirm. He's doing it on purpose! Damn bastard. I tried moving his hands but he is stronger than he as much as I hate to admit it.
"Dick stop." I giggled out. He smiled and kissed me. I didn't kiss him back because that was pretty mean. He noticed and stopped to pout. He gave me puppy eyes and kept being annoying. I put a pillow on his face and kept it there so he'd shut up. I could hear his muffled words and he crossed his arms over his chest annoyed. Yeah well that's how I felt. I let him go and played on my phone. I felt his arms wrap around me again and he pulled me close. I smiled and put my phone down before getting comfy. I fell asleep hearing Dick's soft snores.
~Time Skip~
I woke up to my alarm and saw it was 5:55 am. I yawned and got up. On Christmas I always get up early. I went into the bathroom did my morning routine and changed into a red loose top and some black ripped jeans. I put my hair in a half up braided hairstyle and slipped on my fuzzy boots. I smiled and put a rose gold flower charm bracelet that Dick got me for our anniversary. I tell him not to get me expensive stuff but he does anyway. I smiled and kissed Dick's forehead before leaving. I went to Damian's room and woke him up. Then Tim, Then Jason. Jason was the easiest to wake up. I opened the door to Dick's room and they jumped on the bed to wake him up. It was 6:30 now so his alarm was going to go off anyway. He got up surprised and groaned in annoyance.
"Grayson time to get up!" Damian said loudly.
"Dickhead get up or I'll drag you." Jason threatened.
"Can we go back to bed?" Tim asked still tired.
"No now we're all going to wake up Bruce. Alfred told me he gets up at 7 now everyone let's go." I said walking out of the room. We all "sneakily" got to Bruce's room despite our shushing and giggling. Damian opened the door every quietly and we all padded into his room. Bruce was asleep and I kinda felt bad buuuuut it's Christmas. Dick gave the signal and they all jumped in bed with Bruce. I stayed back and got a few pictures. Bruce got up confused and groaned annoyed.
"Bruce get up its Christmas!" I said. The boys were laughing and Bruce didn't seem mad. I smiled. The boys then rushed downstairs I followed and actually walked. Bruce talked to me while we walked but he isn't really awake awake.
"You know my first Christmas with Dick he dragged me outside to make a snowman." Bruce said making me laugh.
"When me and Dick started going out. We met up for Christmas as we started a massive snowball fight. I managed to sneak up from behind and I shoved a handful of snow down his back. Screamed like a little girl." I laughed. He laughed and we chatted for a bit until we got downstairs.
"Ok everyone present time!" Dick said passing gifts out. More like throwing them.
"Dick some of those are fragile!" I warned stopping him from throwing another one.
"When have I ever broken anything?" He asked.
"How about the flower vases or the plant near our window." I said annoyed. He just pouted.
"In my defense I was shot when I stumbled into the room." He said handing people presents now. We all exchanged gifts and they seemed to like me presents. I got all the boys matching shirts. It was more for my pleasure for a good laugh. I laughed when they put it on. I got them other things but this was my favorite. Alfred and Bruce got a good picture. We had a good day now we're all ice skating in the park. Its pretty fun watching Tim and Jason falling on their faces every few minutes. Dick suddenly pulled me closer to him and smiled. I pecked his lips. He smiled and kissed me again.
"(Y/n) I've loved you since you joined the team and I want to be able to say I love you when we're old and gray. You make me feel like I can move mountains and conquer the universe. You are gorgeous inside and out, with blue hair or your beautiful (h/c) hair, you make everyday a new adventure and I'd like to wake up next to you every morning for the rest of my life. (Y/n) (M/n) (L/n) will you do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Grayson?" Dick said getting down on one knee. I was so shocked. People were surrounding us wanting to see and the others watched. I want to play a little prank on him.
"Dick I'm not ready." I said before seeing his happy face change to a hurt expression.
"Nah I'm playing I'm more than ready you goofball." I said making him sigh in relief. He got up and kissed me making everyone cheer and laugh.
"You had me worried." He said after.
"Well it'll be a funny story to tell." I laughed as he put the ring on my finger. I smiled and kissed him again.
"You honestly thought I'd say no?" I asked him.
"I was worried." He said making me laugh.
"We should've done this at a restaurant then we could've got free desert." I joked making him laugh. We skated over to the others and got whoops and whistles making us laugh. Tim gave me a high five.
"You got him good." Tim said laughing.
"Yeah his face was like." Jason said mimicking Dick's previous terrified expression. I laughed and Dick looked annoyed.
"Congratulations you two." Bruce said giving Dick one of those bro hugs.
"Grayson I approve of this one." Damian said making me laugh. I hugged Damian and he tried moving away from me.
"Grayson make your fiancée unhand me!" Damian said trying to make me let him go and not slip on the ice.
"Damian it's a hug." Dick said making Damian huff and hug me back. It shocked me. He's never hugged back when I hugged him. I looked at the others surprised.
"I'm not the only one seeing this right?" I asked looking at the small child hugging me. They nodded shocked.
"You're family now (L/n)." He said making tears well up in my eyes. I didn't grow up with a family. I grew up in the foster care system and they weren't very good foster homes. I never had the luxury of a family or friends so when I joined the team it made me feel wanted.
"Oh (N/n) it's ok." Dick said pulling me closer to him as I cried into his chest. He ran his fingers through my hair and carried me off the ice. The others knew about my childhood but I don't think they told Damian. I calmed down a bit after that. We went back to the manor after that. I actually went outside and called all the girls on one phone call. They all answered. I told them and it was a lot of squealing and laughing. Just like when we all got together for girl nights. Dick came in and they all said hi.
"We'll leave you two alone." M'gann said making all the other girls groan and hang up. I put the phone down and Dick came in bed with me. I smiled and kissed him. Everything was perfect.
