"Arms up" the officer instructed as he began to pat you down. His hands roaming places that were inappropriate but you were to tired to care.
"Clear" he said before you made your way through the doors.
Another officer opened the doors of the visiting room, guiding you towards an empty table. You sat down clutching your bag towards you and looking around. Around you were many inmates, their families or members there of here to visit them many were in tears. Others over joyed as they laughed with their loved ones.
The doors creaked open, snapping you out of your thoughts. You looked over and saw Zion. Hands cuffed behind his back as the warden shoved him towards you. As he came to sit down they uncuffed him, warning him about eascaping before shoving him into his seat.
You examined his face, he was paler then usual, like he hadn't been eating which wasn't a surprise because all he complained about was the food in his letters. He was having a slight break out and his dreads, which were now over grown sat in a ponytail atop his head.
"Hey, you look- you look good" Zion said breaking you out of your thoughts
"You look different" you said referring to his now purple tipped dreads
"Yeah, thought I'd try something new" he said now looking down
Silence set between the two of you. The chatter of the rest of the room filling your ears. You looked up to see Zion playing with his fingers.
"So how's Lizzy?" He asked
"She's- she's teething now. Can't stop crying now" you said letting out a breathy laugh
"I'm sorry I'm not there to help you" Zion said looking down at his fingers again "why can't you bring her here to see her daddy?" Zion asked
"Because Zion, because I'm not about to bring my daughter to this environment" I snapped
"But she's my daughter" Zion reasoned
"She wasn't your daughter when you went and committed mass murder now was she!" I yelled. By now everyone was looking but the guards didn't care this was probably an everyday thing
"I apologize to you-
"I never said I forgave you!" I snapped "you killed him! You killed my brother! You killed Nick in cold blood and watched him bleed out" I said now sniffing
"Baby-
"No! I don't care what has to come out of your mouth right now" I said standing up "I brought you shampoo, some spot cream and a face mask to do." I said tossing him the bag
"Y/N! Y/N come back!" Zion yelled after me
But I wasn't going back to him.
