A/N: Since the previous chapters have been very Aubrey focused, let's delve a bit into Camilla for the beginning part. Next chapter will be a little bit more exciting!

-

Camilla was interning at a company in downtown Toronto in PR. She'd always been very business focused, she even went to school to get her bachelors in Business management and marketing. Camilla is what you'd call a saviour. She'd give her last if it made the people around her happy, which didn't always work out in her favour i.e. Supporting Aubrey with everything, only for him to turn around and dismiss it...but moving on from that, she was an all around good person.

"Ok, I only have 10 minutes before I go back into work, so let me talk quick" Camilla sat in her car, FaceTiming her two closest friends Alisha and Brielle.

"You're not doing the whole thing again, are you?" Alisha made a scissoring motion with both her hands, making Brielle laugh.

"What...no!" Camilla laughed. "Just listen, so two days ago, Aubrey pulled to my house-"

"No fucking way!" Brielle grabbed the phone from Alisha and stuck her face right into the camera.

"Bri, get out of the screen" Camilla laughed, making Alisha take the phone back from Brielle so they could both be seen. "Anyway, so he pulled up, he's tryna see where things go, so I said yeah"

"We suspected this" Alisha smirked.

"Why?" Camilla asked.

"That's your soulmate" Brielle smiled. "You know who's not going to be happy about this?"

"Bri, don't say it" Alisha looked at Brielle.

"I know, Kennedy" Camilla sighed. When Camilla went through her little...'heartbreak phase' since that's what we're calling it, Kennedy was there to pick up the pieces. To hear that Camilla was back with Aubrey, Kennedy would certainly have a lot to say.

"Just say to her, look bitch, I'm an adult, I want my nigga back and I got him, sorry I'm not gay anymore" Brielle shrugged.

"Yo, she cheeses me, you don't owe her anything" Alisha kissed her teeth. "Don't even say anything to her, bring Aubrey to Zac's party"

"You can't just invite people to my sons party" Brielle side eyed Alisha. "You can bring him though, tell him Zac wants a gift"

"Thanks for being so supportive, guys. I really appreciate it" Camilla blew them a kiss through the phone. "Where's Zac?"

"Sleeping, he's been so moody today" Brielle made a face.

"It's because he knows he's going to have to see his lame daddy tomorrow at his party" Alisha joked.

"I thought you guys were good?" Camilla questioned.

"We were, he said he's going to see Zac more often, he's going to do all this shit. Has he done it? No. Not to mention, he's still doing you know what" Brielle tilted her head, alluding to Kameron still selling drugs.

"Well, it's going to be Kam that regrets not spending more time with Zac, when Zac grows up and resents him, he'll feel like shit" Alisha chimed in.

"I'm so over him, talking to him is like talking to a brick wall. Maybe you need to get your dad to threaten him again" Camilla sounded annoyed. Brielle's father had forced Kameron to be apart of Zac's life in the past, but Brielle had never wanted to bother her friends or family to talk Kameron because she saw it as, it was her that chose to have a child for him so she had to deal with what came.

"I just can't deal with it, it'll get to the point where I will just say get out of my child's life forever" Brielle frowned.

"At least Zac has his two extra moms" Alisha laughed, referring to her and Camilla.

Guys, I'll call you when I leave work" Camilla looked at the time, quickly getting herself ready to leave as Alisha and Brielle said goodbye and hung up.
-
Aubrey was at work, he had a short day today so it wasn't as draining. But he was ready to be finished in general.

"Can you help me?" The girl beckoned, flashing him a smile. She was stood in front of the mirror attempting to lift a weight.

"Yeah, sure" Aubrey walked over. "What exactly are you trying to do with it?" He let out a light laugh. He had to laugh, considering this girl had always needed his 'help' with something whenever she came to the gym.

"A squat" She smirked. "Help me hold it so I can squat"

"It's supposed to kinda hurt when you go down, keep your legs shoulder width apart" Aubrey raised an eyebrow, standing behind her.

"Word?" She looked at him in the mirror as she bent down in a squat.

"Mhm" Aubrey laughed. "Everytime I'm here, I see you and you always need my help. When are you gonna get the hang of things?" He pointed out.

"It's not always the same thing, though" she laughed.

"I never said it was" he raised an eyebrow.

"I'm Ashley" she smiled, trying to make the moment less awkward.

"Nice to meet you" Aubrey began to feel dismissive of the conversation.

"I'm not usually forward but you're always so nice to me. How comes you haven't tried to, you know, go out with me?" Ashley bit her lip out of awkwardness.

"Look, I gotta be nice because I work here. I have a girlfriend, who would kill me and you if she heard this conversation" he chuckled lightly.

After work Camilla went over to Aubrey's condo. Aubrey had this condo for a while now, he actually owned it but never lived in it because he decided to rent it out as an alternative source of income, however he and his mom were clashing a lot recently so when he wanted space he just went there.

"How was your day?" Aubrey asked Camilla, laying down on the bed next to her.

"Stressful, how was yours?"

"Same, this working for other people shit isn't for me, C" Aubrey chuckled lightly.

"I know" she laughed. "But, just do it for now...it'll be worth it in the end"

"I will" Aubrey looked at her in awe. The way Aubrey felt about Camilla was the way a lot of people wished to experience. She could do no wrong in his eyes, as far as he was concerned she was his soulmate. He rarely fought for people to stay in his life but Camilla was someone would always fight for.

"So, do you have any female clients?" Camilla questioned.

"Only two, but- I don't deal with them like that"

"Oh, well...you're my baby daddy anyway" Camilla joked.

"I almost forgot, I got you something" Aubrey quickly stood up, walking over to the dresser across the room.

"Why?"

"I fucked up a while back, I'm tryna make up for it everyday. Doing little things might help, I guess" he walked over, handing Camilla two boxes, one square shaped box and the other a rectangle shaped box. "Open whichever first"

Camilla beamed as she opened the square shaped box to see a charm bracelet. "Is this the same one?" She smiled largely.

"I got you something" Aubrey chuckled, handing Camilla a square shaped box.

"You didn't have to" Camilla sat on the floor with her legs crossed, holding the gift box.

"I wanted to" Aubrey sat next to her. Aubrey had used his first legal paycheck to buy this gift for Camilla.

"This is so thoughtful and sweet" Camilla uncrossed her legs, getting up to hug and kiss Aubrey. She let him put the charm bracelet on her wrist, it had both their initials on it and a small love heart.

"Yeah, it is. I just got the other charm added. To be honest, I got it before we even spoke again"

"Aw, Aubrey" Camilla jumped up and went over to kiss him. "This is actually one of my favourite pieces of jewellery you've ever gotten me"

"I know, but baby please open the other one" he chuckled.

"Oh my-, Aubrey you really didn't have to do this" she looked at him. Camilla wasn't materialistic, but the things Aubrey had gotten her were more on the sentimental spectrum. Aubrey had placed the the diamanté necklace with a small diamond at the centre around her neck, along with the charm bracelet on her wrist. She liked the simplicity to the jewellery he'd gotten her.

Aubrey was hoping that this would help to get rid of any doubt she had.
