The Next Day, Friday?? 10:04 A.M
Aniyah woke up to Kaiden getting dressed, Aniyah sat up and rubbed her eyes and said "You leaving?"
Kaiden stopped what he was doing and his back was faced to her and he said "Yes." In a short answered tone.
Aniyah said "Alright. When will you be back?"
Kaiden continued getting ready and he said "Don't know." In a short answered tone.
Aniyah said "Oh.. umm.. okay.. Well, Be safe. I love you.."
Kaiden pulled on his shirt and left the room fast. Aniyah sat there and stared out the open bedroom door and she took a deep breath and got on her phone, she texted her old friend Camila and said "Wanna meet up? Lowkey lonely."
Aniyah got out of bed and walked into her bathroom and brushed her teeth, and combed out her hair. Her phone dinged and she checked it and it said "Of course! I miss you.. Meet at Poppy's in 10?"
Aniyah said "Deal!"
Aniyah walked back into her room and walked over to her closet and just pulled on a simple beach outfit.
Aniyah pulled on her sandals and walked downstairs and she saw Justin, Blane, Kale, Jax, and Mason all on the couches laughing. Aniyah said "You didn't go with Kaiden?"
Kale said "We don't go with him to see his 'ex' Jade."
Aniyah said "He's with his ex?"
Justin looked at Kale instantly and Kale said "Oh... no.."
Aniyah nodded her head and grabbed her car keys and left and closed the front door.
Justin said "Bro! Never tell a girl her boyfriend is with his ex!"
Kale said "It's not like something is happening."
Justin said "You don't know that."
Aniyah got into her car and drove away fast. After a few minutes she parked in a parking lot at Poppy's, a well known beach where there is a little café and a skate park. Aniyah got out of her car and saw many people from school.
She groaned and walked inside Poppy's and she saw Camila sitting down, Aniyah smiled and sat down next to her and said "Hey girl."
Camila laughed and said "You look stressed."
Aniyah laughed and said "I'm not stressed."
Camila said "You've been gone for awhile.. everything okay?"
Aniyah said "Oh yeah! Everything's good.. Just, was in France.. Meeting Kaiden's family."
Camila said "Ooouuu, meeting the family. He must care for you alot."
Aniyah said "Well, he's with his ex Jade apparently so there's that" and she took a drink of her water.
Camila said "You think he's going to do something?"
Aniyah set her water down and said "I don't think he will.. but she might, and he'll get turned on.. and one thing leads to another."
Camila said "Oh.. everything okay between you two?"
Aniyah ran her fingers through her hair and said "I guess.. I mean.. I love him, I really do.. and I trust him, it's just.. He's tried to leave me four times for personal reasons.. and we haven't had sex in like five days.. when we did like, everyday.. and now he's with his ex.. he didn't even say he loves me back this morning.. when he always does.. or even says it first.."
Camila said "Oh shit..."
Aniyah said "I don't know.. Guess I'm just thinking negatively."
Camila said "It's understandable.. I never knew Kaiden had a ex."
Aniyah said "His friend Kale said "ex" in a weird tone.. Probably talked.. sex buddies.. who knows."
Camila said "Are you losing trust for him?"
Aniyah looked down at her hands and said "I don't know.." She looked up at Camila and said "Does that make me a bad person.."
Camila said "No.. Aniyah he hurt you.."
Aniyah said "For good reasons.. You know what he does.. Your in Drakes gang anyways.. Kaiden.. he's gonna be taking over, so.. he's worried I'm gonna die and shit.."
Camila said "He says that's the reason, but hangs out with his ex.. Did he at least tell you?"
Aniyah said "Nope." Aniyah blinked some tears away and said "He was distant this morning so.. also, he didn't say 'I love you' back... sooo who knows."
Camila said "You think he's cheating?"
Aniyah said "I don't want to assume.."
Camila said "Just be careful.. Alright?"
Aniyah nodded her head and said "How's you and Justin?"
Camila said "We haven't talked yet today.. Aniyah I really like him.. alot.."
Aniyah smiled and said "Good! He's a good guy.. He is."
Camila said "I agree.. He makes me feel so.. free."
Aniyah smiled and said "Do you love him?"
Camila said "I'm starting too.. I can feel it.. and This time.. I don't want to fight it."
Aniyah smiled bright and said "I'm happy for you."
Camila said "Thank you."
Aniyah's phone dinged and she looked down at it and it was a text from Kaiden saying "I'll be back home soon"
Aniyah replied back "k."
Kaiden replied back "You good?"
Aniyah said "Yeah! Always.. Where you at?"
Kaiden said "I'm just at the gym."
Aniyah scoffed and replied "Right. Have a good 'workout'" then slammed her phone down.
She ran her fingers through her hair stressfully and she felt tears building in her eyes and Camila said "That him?"
Aniyah sniffled and wiped her eyes and said "He said he's at the gym. When he's with her.. Why would he lie?"
Camila stayed quiet and Aniyah said "Great.. He doesn't touch me sexually.. He constantly wants to break up.. Doesn't say "I love you" back.. and he lies about being with his ex.. Fucking.. perfect.."
Camila said "I'm sorry.."
Aniyah let out a painful sigh and said "It's fine.. umm.. I really need a distraction? Wanna go watch people play beach volleyball?"
Camila nodded her head with a smile and they left the café and walked out onto the hot sand and sat down by a beach volleyball place and started watching guys and girls play.
Aniyah smiled and said "Is there something wrong with me?" As she was looking at the sand.
Camila looked at her and said "Absolutely not.."
Aniyah looked at her and said "Finn abused me.. Quin cheated in the fucking eighth grade.. and now.. Kaiden lies.. I dropped Ashton for Kaiden.. I picked Kaiden the guy who beat up Ashton.. over Asthon who actually showed me affection, and wasn't afraid to show it.. like Kaiden was..."
Camila said "Aniyah.. there's nothing wrong with you."
Aniyah looked at the ground and said "Who knows.."
Camila said "Hey Wesley!"
Logan, Ryan, and Wesley all looked over and Camila signaled them over and Aniyah said "How do you know them?"
Camila said "Wesley is in Drakes gang.. and Wesley is their friend.. we tend to hang out alot."
Aniyah nodded her head and the three boys sat down next to them and Camila said "Wesley is really good at skating.. Come on Aniyah. I'm not gonna sit here and watch you be upset."
Logan said "Woah woah woah! Why you upset?"
Camila said "Kaiden's with his ex, and lied about it.. also, he didn't tell her he loves her back.. when they normally do.. I'm assuming?" And Aniyah nodded her head.
Ryan said "Oh shit.. ouch."
Aniyah laughed and stood up, she faked a smile and held the tears back and said "Let's see these skills Wes."
Wesley smiled and ran over to where more guys from school were and grabbed his skateboard and the five of them walked over to the skate park and they started watching Wesley ride on the skateboard.
Ryan sat down on the bench next to Aniyah and said "I never see you around anymore.. Everything alright with Kaiden?"
Aniyah said "You know what he does.. It's difficult.. plus.. I guess I just got distracted and stopped caring for school."
Ryan said "and friends.."
Aniyah looked at Ryan and said "I only had three friends.. Hannah, Kaiden, and Jayden.. Jayden is in a mental institution, and Hannah is dead.. and Kaiden.. he's just..-" Ryan said "A future gang leader who skips school."
Aniyah laughed and said "Seems about so."
Ryan said "I'm sorry about Hannah and Jayden.. I am.. but.. Just because you love Kaiden, doesn't mean you have to let him hurt you, and your future."
Aniyah looked at him and stayed quiet and Ryan said "Just.. think about it.. Us Jocks aren't entirely bad people Aniyah."
Aniyah laughed and said "I know.."
Ryan smiled and patted her arm in a friendly way and said "Come on. Come watch Wesley closer with everyone else."
Aniyah nodded her head and walked over to the cars next to the skate park and stood next to Camila and watched Wesley skate and everyone was laughing and him failing sometimes and some people we're just laughing due to funny conversations. Aniyah felt peace.. she felt comfortable.. and she didn't feel alone.
