"It is going to be fine." Stoffels squeezed your hand. You were about to tell your brother about the fact the two of you had been dating for a few weeks, behind his back...
"I don't know Stoff... I don't think he will take it well..." You were horrified. Lewis had always been very protective of you and he swore to interrogate every boy that even thought to come close to you, but since you didn't let him know you liked Stoffel, he never came up with the idea to even give him questioning looks and deathly glares.
"I will be here with you, if he even tries to get mad, I will speak up okay?" You nodded before you walked into Lewis's motorhome after knocking.
"Hey!" Lewis excitedly said, but he frowned when he saw Stoffel coming in after you and he got even more confused when he saw your intertwined fingers. "What is going on?" He hesitantly asked. He knew something was going on, he knew his sister well enough to know that.
"Lew, Stoff and I need to tell you something." Lewis's eyes widened.
"Don't you dare say what I think is going on here..." He looked at your intertwined fingers, back to you and then at Stoffel. "Out!" He said, a threatening tone in his voice.
"Lewis, mate..."
"Don't mate me! Out! Now!" Stoffel realised that if he wouldn't go it would go terribly wrong. He bent towards you so he was close enough to whisper something in your ear so only you would hear.
"Please don't let him go overboard. I love you." You smiled sadly at Stoffel and gave him a hug.
"I love you too." He walked out of the motorhome to leave you and Lewis alone. "What in the world?! Why did you have to act so horrible?!" Lewis was one big mass of tensed muscles while you yelled at him with tears in your eyes. "You didn't have to treat him that badly, you didn't even know what we were going to say!"
"My guess was well enough to be right." You huffed.
"Forget it. Sort yourself out before even daring to talk to me again." You walked away, tears falling from your eyes. The race would start in two hours and you would find a way to spend that time without having to be close to Lewis. You soon ran into Nico Rosberg. You knew him very well from when he was Lewis's teammate and you still were very close. You stayed with him and talked with him. He knew how to calm you down and by the time you would head towards the pit boxes to watch the race you were calm again and ready to talk to Lewis after the race. You did hope the race would go well for him, that would mean he would be in a better mood.
You walked through the pit lane and doubted whether you would go to Lewis's pit box or Stoffel's. You decided to go to Stoffel's, hoping you would be able to steal a quick kiss before he would get into the car. Unfortunately for you, he had already left, so you decided to find your way to Lewis's pit box so you wouldn't upset him anymore by being in Stoffel's.
Soon the race started and Stoffel had an incredible start whereas Lewis didn't have a good start at all, he dropped at least four places, of which one to Stoffel. You knew he would be swearing in his cockpit. Little did you know the number of places he dropped didn't mean a thing to him at that point, but the fact that he was now behind the Belgian annoyed him. He tried to overtake him as soon as he could, but Stoffel was defending very well. Fifteen laps of annoyance from Lewis's side and a lot of swear words and angry messages to the team later Lewis decided he would go aggressive. And of all places in the castle sector. You gasped when you saw how Lewis ended up beside Stoffel but locked his tires which made him drive into the side of Stoffel's car and they both crashed into the walls of the castle, debris flying everywhere. Lewis's race engineer asked him whether he was alright.
"I am fine..." You could hear the frustration in his voice. He didn't come out quite yet. "Guys is Stoffel alright?" You still had your eyes locked to the screens.
"We don't know Lewis. He hasn't said a thing through the radio yet. The track is clear so you can come out." Lewis finally climbed out of his car. He walked straight Stoffel's car and took his helmet off. He seemingly was talking to Stoffel when he started to signal to the stewards. The stewards and medical staff came running towards Stoffel's car and you felt a tear make it's way down your cheek. You stood up, took your headphones off and ran towards Stoffel's pit box. You saw all worried faces in there.
"Is he okay?"
"No. They just cut him out of the car and drove him away in an ambulance." You burst out into tears. Even though you weren't in a relationship quite yet you loved the Belgian with all of your heart.
The race had been red flagged and around you, you heard some people talking about the race being over. Lewis walked into the pit box.
"Come on, we are going to the hospital." He said and dragged you out of their and towards a cab. He was still dressed in his racesuit, he didn't care. He had a worried look on his face.
The drive to the hospital was in silence, the only sounds came from outside the car, your sobs being an exception. Once inside the hospital you had some trouble to get to Stoffel, but Lewis got the nurses so far the two of you could see him. He was hooked up to some machines.
"Oh Stoff..." You weren't allowed in the room until the doctors were done with some tests. One doctor came out.
"He has a severe concussion and a few broken bones. Further tests will indicate whether there is something else. We will let you know when you can go to him." You nodded. Tears starting to flow from your eyes once again. When the doctor was away you turned to Lewis.
"This is all your fault!" You screamed. "You should have known it was stupid to overtake him at that point. You knew it but did it nevertheless. And why? Because you were done stuck behind Stoff, because you were already upset with him and just wanted to teach him a lesson!" You were completely freaking out a nurse gently pulled you away from Lewis and gave you a cup of water. You hated him. You hated Lewis!
