Chapter 84: To Win Nia Back
Nia sat in a dark room on a love seat as she had her elbow on the arm of the sofa while resting her cheek on her palm. She sniffled a few times as tears were constantly dripping from her eyes and landing onto her lap.
She could only think of Naruto as he consumed her thoughts. She trusted him with all her heart but he didn't seem to trust her with everything he had. She understood what he felt... she understood that if the situation was in reverse, she would've been awfully upset too. However, she knew her intentions. She knew she didn't want more than friendship with Akihiko.
She was too in love to hurt the blonde like that. However, she needed her answers for everyone's safety no matter what but Naruto could only see her having dinner with the guy as cheating-which she understood completely. That reason specifically was why she needed to break things off with him. Her morals were high and no matter how anyone could try and justify it, if the other partner considered it as cheating, then it was. Hence, why Nia was forced to break up with the genin even if it broke her significantly inside.
Since the breakup, she had been pampered and well treated by the people of the palace. Royal servants were tending to her every need. In addition, to prepare her for the dinner, they chose a dress for her to wear and had even done her hair and makeup for her also. They painted her nails and fashioned her in jewelry. She was living every woman's dream at the moment.
However... it wasn't her dream. Her dream was far more different, far more meaningful.
Even when she saw how beautiful they had made her when she gazed at herself in the mirror, Nia felt an emptiness inside. Sure, she looked stunning and received a ridiculous amount of attention from the men when she wandered around the halls and approved smiles, but her sudden desirability amongst the crowd was very unfulfilling.
For the longest, she wanted to be praised and acknowledged for her appearance. To be considered beautiful in the eyes of men and just everyone in general. She wanted to turn heads and be able to feel like a woman who possessed beauty, power, and desirability-At least, she thought she craved that.
Living in that moment after what seemed like a millennium of her enduring all the cruel words and actions of those around her seemed... so unrewarding to her.
Of course she was relieved to finally see a physically attractive young lady staring back at her, but... it was all so disappointing to her. She knew everyone was only acknowledging her worth for her sudden beauty. She knew everyone was enamored with the outside of her. She knew no one cared to acknowledge her attributes from within. She knew no one truly cared to get to know her and fall for her real self. She knew her looks was the only thing everyone saw-Not her as a individual.
Not her as a woman and certainly not her as a human being... she was now only seen as an object. Seen as something to only fulfill a man's uncontrollable lust.
She knew that if she was stripped of the beauty she currently possessed at the moment, people would hate her. People would scorn her, ridicule her, berate her... she would be seen as worthless again. Someone of no value whatsoever. She would be seen as ugly... a monster... an animal... a beast.
And so Nia cried. She cried because her value as a human being, like many others, was only being measured on how pretty she was, how thin she was, how curvy she was, how big her breasts and buttocks were, how perfect her smile was, how long and flowy her hair was supposed to be, how perfect her skin was, how outwardly perfect her overall appearance was supposed to be in general.
Not on anything else.
Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door and quickly wiped her tears away and got herself together.
She reminded herself of what was necessary for her to do for the lives of others. Especially for the lives of the very young... even if it meant having Naruto hate her for as long as he and herself lived.
"Your majesty, the feudal lord has sent me to prep you for the oncoming dinner date you have with him." A woman's voice spoke from the outside as Nia then opened the door.
She was a rather tall brown-haired woman with brown eyes and a pretty face with an equally great figure to go along with it. Quickly, the woman's eyes fell upon the girl as her beauty took the maidservant's breath away.
Nia was wearing a sleeveless, low-cut, silver sequen fishtail dress with a slit to expose her entire left leg and thigh. Her hair was put into a high bun with a jewel crown around it. Oval crystal drop earrings dangled from her ears while a beautiful diamond necklace was wrapped around her neck and a silver bracelet wrapped around her wrist.
She wore a nice shade of pink gloss on her lips and rose gold eyeshadow to go along with the look.
The woman just looked at Nia with stunned eyes as she was just absolutely speechless.
"If you will, do you mind telling me if you think I look alright right now?" Nia twirled around so the woman could assess her appearance properly.
"You... look absolutely gorgeous. I can't believe my eyes right now..."
Nia breathed a sigh of relief.
Good. The more beautiful I appear, the more easier it'll be to get my questions answered honestly.
"I'm assuming dinner is ready then?" Nia then faked a smile as she attempted to leave the room only to have the maidservant get in her way and close the door.
"Ma'am is something wrong? I thought I'm supposed to meet with Akihiko right now?"
"No, my dear. As I said before, I'm here to prep you on the lord's order as he thought you've been appearing to be anxious." The brown-haired woman explained, "I'm here to calm you down. You must be nervous, ya know?"
The kunoichi lowered her eyes as she thought of what was actually bothering her.
"Ma'am... I'm not nervous," She admitted, "I'm... feeling absolutely heartbroken to be honest with you."
"Heartbroken?" The maidservant seemed genuinely surprised, "But why? You're getting ready to go on a date with the feudal lord. I mean, the women here are all envying you right now."
"Sure, but... I just don't wanna go... I don't even consider the whole thing a date."
"And why might that be, my dear?"
Nia attempted not to get emotional as she thought about her now ex.
"Because... I'm just not in love with the guy. I'm in love with someone else."
The woman's hard stare softened.
"Is that so?"
The kunoichi wandered around the room slowly thinking about what to do. Should she tell the woman how she was feeling as she had no one to console her? Should she keep her feelings to herself as the woman was indeed a stranger? Should she leave the room to see if dinner was ready or to regroup with Yamato and the others briefly?
"Dear, is something the matter?" The lady broke the girl out of her thoughts, "You seem awfully disturbed."
"Who me? Oh no, I'm fine. Don't worry about anything."
"I... heard you crying just before I knocked on the door," The maidservant revealed, "I also seen you walking in the halls after being transformed into this... more queen-like appearance of yours. The men were absolutely astonished by your new appearance. They couldn't keep their eyes off you, and yet... you seemed incredibly sad. You didn't even care for the attention?"
Nia ran her hand through her hair as she appeared to be even more stressed than she was before.
"Of course not. I didn't care because I just broke up with my boyfriend. I was devastated because I didn't want to but I had to! Besides, all that attention means nothing to me if I can't have him with me. It means absolutely nothing!" The girl just started to vent, "I was only happy when anyone would acknowledge my looks in front of him in a positive way, not necessarily only because I was flattered, but because I figured that if another guy called me attractive by or to him, he'd feel more proud to have me; More happy!"
The woman just stayed quiet.
"But he only became upset... He thought I was flirting when I was only appreciating a compliment. It wasn't like I was fishing for it and it wasn't like I suddenly loved someone else who gave me attention! I love only him! I want to sleep with only him! I only want to be with him!"
Sitting back on the red sofa, Nia sighed and tried to calm down but failed, "He told me he practically thinks I'm a girl who would sleep or be with anyone who shows me enough attention! I can't believe he told me that! If that were true, I would've just banged Akihiko the first time I met him! But what did I do? I REJECTED HIM! I rejected him because I had feelings for Naruto! I rejected him because I only wanted to be with Naruto! I rejected him because-"
"Maybe he was upset because he couldn't bear the thought of you possibly taking an interest in someone else?"
"True... but still..."
Nia lowered her eyes as she placed her elbow on the arm of the sofa once more and laid her cheek on her palm, "He knows... I love him. I... wish I could tell you what my biggest reason was for dumping him, but-"
"Just tell me everything you're feeling right now, ya know! Down to the last detaaiiil!" The maidservant startled Nia as she had raised her voice so suddenly.
"Woah... I just realized you said that in the same fashion my ex would've said that when he gets impatient..." The girl gave her opinion, "By the way, in case you don't know, my name is Nia. May I get your name?"
"Uh," The woman seemed odd before getting back to the kunoichi's question and answering, "Naiyumi. My name is Naiyumi.
"Naiyumi... pretty name." Nia said.
"Not as pretty as you."
"What?"
"Nothing, ya know!"
Nia just shook her head then furrowed her brows.
Naiyumi took a seat opposite of the girl on another sofa and kept her eyes glued on the kunoichi.
"Your majesty, if you feel the need to vent your feelings... I really don't mind listening and none of this will be mentioned to anyone else."
The kunoichi only kept quiet. Naiyumi only watched as the girl appeared to be miserable. It would be a few minutes until Nia spoke.
"I... need to go to dinner with Akihiko." She sat up slowly as Naiyumi quickly got up herself.
"Wait a sec! Akihiko will be the one to knock on this door when the time is right. You need only wait."
"Yeah, but-"
"Now, now... no need to be anxious, dear. Just sit and relax." Naiyumi got the girl to seat herself once more as she had her hands lightly on her shoulders.
After that, she coaxed the kunoichi into telling her more about her feelings for the genin and how she felt about her relationship with him from the start. And so, over the next half hour or so, the ladies had a very emotional talk as Nia just decided to spill her heart out to the woman as Naiyumi just sat and listened as certain parts of the girl's story had actually upset her quite a bit.
"So... you felt that way every time he would seem to reject you in the beginning?" She asked as Nia nodded, her mascara having already stain her cheeks from all her sobbing.
The girl fanned her eyes to keep the water locked in her eyes.
"I'm sorry," She apologized as she did this, "I'm such a freaking baby. I'm always crying about something-whether it's something sad or happy. He even told me before I was a huge crybaby. He said it like a joke but I'm pretty sure he meant it. I really do cry a lot."
"But right now, you're talking about something very emotional. I don't blame you for getting teary-eyed."
After taking a moment to take a deep breath, the kunoichi continued, "He... told me that... he wasn't attracted to me at all at first. He practically thought I was ugly... just like everyone else."
Naiyumi placed her elbow on the arm of the sofa and rested her chin on it while she also slid a bit downward.
"I... always heard from other women that when their guy first saw them, they thought they were so gorgeous or something and how they went up to them and started flirting or whatever. With me... that wasn't the case-It was the complete opposite." Nia explained as Naiyumi lowered her eyes sadly.
"That... may be, but wouldn't you rather have a person come to like you for you even if they didn't like you initially?"
"...Sure, but... it still hurts. I... want to feel beautiful, desirable, wanted, and loved. I know there're lots of people-especially women, who say they don't need a man or woman or anything to be happy. And while that is true for some people, to be honest, having a companion does make anyone's life more meaningful if they have the right sort of person. Sure, I don't need to be with someone in order to make me feel complete, but for me, I would really like to have a strong bond with someone in a romantic sense if possible. And I would also like to have a family of my own with my own children with the guy I come to marry. One guy is enough for me. Not two, not ten, not twenty-just one."
"Akihiko was practically asking you for a family. Do you want his babies?"
"Here's the thing," Nia was intrigued by the question, "I feel that when someone is ready to settle down, it should be with someone whom they truly know, love, and get along with. This is the first time that I've seen the guy in almost a year. Even then, I've only spoke with him for a few hours at the most. A few hours isn't enough time to get to know a person, their habits, their mannerisms, and stuff like that in that short amount of time. Because of that and adding in the fact that I'm already in love with someone else, I really wouldn't be a good fit for him. He deserves a woman who'll make him her one and only."
"So, do you think anyone would be able to take you away from the person you love?"
"No," The kunoichi shook her head, "That's not possible. My love is too strong. It's-"
"How's the sex?" Naiyumi quickly interrupted the girl.
Nia only became red, "T-The sex?"
"That's right! Is he too rough? Too soft? Is he small? Do you like it? Does he do anything that pisses you off? What're the things he does that you like?"
Too shy to answer, Nia quickly shook her head, "I can't just talk about our sex life like that! It's so embarrassing and thinking about it makes me feel really shy."
"Your majesty, you don't have to feel embarrassed. We are women after all, ya know? I'm a therapist and I'm here to listen and comfort you the best I can."
"Well... I guess that's true."
The kunoichi rested her elbow on the arm of her couch.
"Hmm... in bed, he can be very aggressive if I seduce him enough. I'd probably say energetic is a better word. When he gets energetic and too excited though, he can be a little too rough, but never enough to actually really hurt me. Well... sometimes I can be incredibly sore soon after sex, but I try to ease that pain by being grateful that we shared such an intimate moment together that brought us closer to one another. Besides, the cuddles make me feel loved and safe afterwards."
Nia took a moment to think to herself before saying, "When I'm sucking on him, I don't exactly like it when he pushes my head down, though I think he accidentally does it when in the heat of the moment. Even so, at times it's almost enough to make me not wanna continue since him pushing my head down too far makes me feel disrespected, makes me gag, and nearly causes me to bite on him since he startled me. However, I did tell him that and now he just lightly presses the top of my head when I'm sucking to signal me that he wants me to go further down."
The maidservant seemed somewhat offended, "Anything else?"
"Um... once in a blue moon, he yanks my hair and pulls my head back too hard and it actually pulls a muscle in my neck if I wasn't expecting it. It doesn't really hurt, but it feels very uncomfortable, so I'd like him to not do it so suddenly."
"Does he do anything right?" Naiyumi sweat dropped.
"Of course," The kunoichi continued to blush, "He can be very caring and very attentive to what I like and dislike. I like that he groans when he feels good. It's... hot. I would've been disappointed if he was just quiet. It makes me melt when he shows and tells me how good he's feeling because of me."
"Oh?"
"Mhm," The girl smiled to herself, "I like how he holds my hand at times and hugs and kisses me. I like when he calls me beautiful, gorgeous, or even sexy and actually means it. It literally makes me feel so amazing and so much more confident in bed. When he continually smiles and stares at me when I'm on top or when he likes the sounds I'm making, it makes me melt also. There's more good things he does in bed than there is bad overall. Even if the sex was terrible, I would really like to still try and work on it with him with more practice."
"You are so pretty." The maidservant told Nia as she looked at her in surprise due to the unexpected compliment, "I bet he feels so lucky to have had a girl like you by his side. Based on everything we talked about till this point, it seems to me like you got his back no matter what."
"I... do my best for him. I have been doing that, always did do that, and always will be doing that."
Nia then went back into the main topic.
"Anyways, that's besides the point. I eventually gave up on the guy for a while when he kept going on and on about that Sakura girl I told you about. He was so obsessed with her cause she was pretty and I just said to myself: Screw it, I'm done. It doesn't matter how hard I try, what I say to him, how I treat him. Nothing matters to him unless I'm pretty then all of a sudden he'll fall for me without actually loving me. I'm wasting my time caring for someone who isn't attracted to me and it's brutally killing my soul and self-esteem."
The girl then took a deep breath before placing her hand on her heart, "But even though I told myself that, it still hurt like hell. It hurt that every time I would try to gain his attention, he would flat out look confused or dismissive and that look he would give me would cripple any amount of courage or confidence I had in myself down to pieces. Rejection isn't always something I feel terrible about, but when it came from him, it wounded me. It hurt so bad and I endured all that and pushed those feelings I had for him far away until around the time I was being taken to the Leaf after I became a chunin."
"I see..." The maidservant replied with a shaky voice, "So at times, he made you feel unattractive or unworthy?"
"I... wouldn't say that. He was nice to me and all, but I think he clearly wasn't attracted to me and that made me feel the way I did. You can't help what you're attracted to, but even so, it still hurts like hell when your feelings aren't reciprocated ever. I wanted him to give me a chance instead of letting a girl who was hot to him but treated him like a total bitch get that chance. It was so painful."
Hearing this, Naiyumi only asked, "Did you hate him for that?"
"Of course not. If he were to have called me ugly, made fun of me, or anything of that sort, however... only then would I have hated him so very deeply. I would've broke off the friendship, leave him, and never speak to him ever again even if he were to apologize for as long as he or I lived. Hell, if he were to say that now and truly mean it, I'd do that exact same thing and never speak or be with him ever again."
Standing up, Nia then headed toward the door.
"Naiyumi, I've told you everything now. How I feel toward him, how I would never even think to cheat on him, how I'd stay by him forever if he'd just let me... how I would rather have his eighty babies... I've told my entire heart to a stranger just because I was so desperate to speak how I felt to anyone who would just listen and understand me for once."
The only bad thing is that you're obviously gonna tell everyone about what we just talked about. I'm used to people being snakes all the time though. After all, this earth really is hell... it's still hard for me to think any good of it. No... it's humanity to blame... not the earth.
"You... really shouldn't leave with all that makeup running down your face..." Naiyumi warned the teen, "Akihiko wouldn't want to have dinner with you while you're looking like you just cried, ya know?"
Nia just made a slight pained smile, "I... wonder what Naruto would think? He probably would think I'm so disgustingly ugly right now... or that I look like the most ugliest girl to ever exist."
"Or maybe..." Naiyumi approached the girl, cupped her hand in hers, then turned into a puff of smoke as her appearance then became that of the genin's, "He'd ask: Why is the most beautiful girl in the world crying? Why is she so torn right now?"
Completely at a loss as she realized the maidservant she was speaking with for the last hour or so was really the blonde in disguise, Nia became weak in the knees as a torrent of emotions began to overwhelm her. Embarrassment, confusion, love, sadness, shyness, happiness... they all consumed her.
She stared at the boy with quivering eyes as every word she had said to him during her distress raced through her mind.
H-He... He tricked me into spilling out everything I thought about him... and our... relationship...
She then shrieked and raced to bed in the room and pulled the covers over her entire self as she had never felt so embarrassed.
I TOLD HIM EVERYTHING! EVEN SEX!
"Curly Brow," The blonde followed her and sat at the edge of the bed, "Don't hide, talk to me."
"No!" The girl outright refused as her heart pounded wildly.
Annoyed, Naruto just yanked the covers away as Nia then freaked out and hid her face from him.
"Don't look at me! I have mascara running down all over my cheeks and-"
"I already seen you with that since the moment you opened the door. You were crying really loudly after all, ya know?"
Nia sniffled, "You tricked me! You made me admit all those embarrassing things to you."
"I just wanted to know if you were being super serious about the breakup! It looked and sounded like you still wanna be with me!" Naruto responded as he attempted to wrap his arms around the girl only to have her avoid him and stand off the bed.
The genin frowned as he did the same and stood opposite of the girl.
"Curly Brow, cmon. Let's not do this right now, okay?"
"But that was so shady!"
"I'm sorry, all right?!"
The boy sighed heavily, "Listen, I'm sorry I questioned your intentions. You were right... I was just jealous, but that was only because I couldn't stand the thought of you being intimate or wanting to be with another guy. And because of that jealousy, I ended up saying things that made you believe I was calling you an easy whore or whatever."
The kunoichi crossed her arms as the memory angered her.
"You implied that though. You thought that if any other guy found me attractive, I'd go hop on his wagon just like that."
"No! That's not it!"
"Stop lying. That's how you put it. If you didn't, you wouldn't have said my actions made you think otherwise. I was complimented and I only smiled-not even at him. Compliments are always flattering for anyone to hear."
Naruto took a step forward and placed his hand on his chest, "So if another woman were to call me hot and I smiled, you wouldn't be bothered by that?"
"I'd only be angry at the woman if she looked like she was trying to steal you away from me. I wouldn't even be angry with you unless you seemed obviously interested in her and if you were to ever try something with another woman, I'd leave you and never EVER speak with you again no matter how much you beg me to forgive you." Nia warned, "Besides, who'd I get mad at when those skanky women we came across wanted to sleep with you? That's right, them. Though I would've turned my attention on you if you were the one initiating or responding positively to her advances."
Naruto groaned as Nia turned her back towards him, "Now, if you excuse me, I need to get this makeup fixed so I can get my answers out of Akihiko."
Quickly, the blonde rushed towards the girl and hugged her from behind.
"Kyaaa!" She obviously was spooked and caught off guard as she squirmed around in his arms with a reddened face, "Naruto, cmon! What're you doing?! You gotta let go of me."
"You... really don't wanna break up with me, do you?" His voice cracked slightly as his arms over Nia's upper chest began to tremble.
Nia calmed down as she felt a drop of water hit her left shoulder. Curious, she looked over her shoulder to see the blonde actually silently crying to himself as he lowered his head onto her shoulder to prevent her from seeing how destroyed and heartbroken he actually was the entire time since the incident the last few hours ago.
"I love you, ya know?" He told her as Nia felt warmth in herself, "Please... just stay here with me. Even if that guy is hiding something, I'll prevail over whatever threatens to harm this village and this mission. You don't need to go on that date with him."
"I don't even consider it as a date, Naruto. I'm not even interested in the guy one bit. I barely even know him."
The blonde hugged her tighter, "Well then, you couldn't have been serious about breaking up with me because I feel jealous... could you?"
"Of course not..." Nia replied as she looked down, "But... I feel that I had to."
The blonde had no reply while he was hoping he and the kunoichi could just make up. However, when she just kept quiet also, he spoke.
"Curly Brow, listen... I swear, I really was just jealous. No, I really am jealous, okay?" He admitted as he tried to hold back his pain, "I... didn't mean to say what I did, I was just... I was just afraid of the possibility of you liking that guy! It tore me apart. Just thinking of if bothered me so much! I can't STAND seeing another guy touch you or try to take you away from me, ya know? It bothers the hell out of me and I end up losing a bit of self-control."
Nia affectionately placed her hands atop his arms.
"That's not why I broke up with you... I broke up with you because you saw me having dinner with Akihiko, to get some answers that could possibly save the lives of these people, as cheating. I have my morals, and cheating on someone is not one of them. Thus, I was forced to break the relationship off no matter how much it hurts me or you."
The blonde sniffled a bit while he still seemed to be trembling a bit.
"Naruto..." Nia sighed, "I love you, but if you wanna get back together, you're gonna have to put your trust in me for the sake of this mission. Though... I don't expect you to take me back, of corse. Either way, however... I'm going to get my questions answered: Single or not."
"But-"
"I'll only be practically interrogating the guy. No touching, no flirting, no nothing."
"If that's the plan, then I'll just substitute in as you, all right?" The boy suggested.
Nia lowered her eyes sadly, "I'm not sure... if that's gonna work."
Aggressively, the boy grabbed the girl's upper arms and turned her to face him.
"Well something's gotta work, ya know?!" He yelled as Nia eyes widened at the sight of his bloodshot eyes.
Her heart felt as though it had dropped into freezing cold water. She felt like a horrible person. Her decision had quite obviously torn the boy's heart out of his chest. Feeling ashamed for being the reason why his usually cheerful attitude was suddenly that of a depressed one, Nia attempted to hold back another fresh set of her own tears.
'My poor Naruto,' She thought as this was going on, 'What a terrible person I am... I made him cry...'
For the next few moments, the two stayed silent as they tried to think of a solution to their problem in their own mind. Finally, after some time, Nia came up with a hopefully acceptful idea.
"How about... I have a shadow clone fill in as me while I'll spend some time here with you..."
Immediately, the sadness in the blonde's eyes began to fade away as a sense of hope replaced it instead, "Ah, that's right! Why didn't we think of that earlier?!"
The kunoichi raised an eyebrow, "Will you consider it cheating if I had a shadow clone do the work?"
"As long as you stay here with me then no." Naruto was relieved as the two could finally come to an agreement.
"Then... we can pretend the whole breaking up thing never happened?" Nia gazed deeply into the blue eyes she loved so much.
Taking his sleeves, Naruto wiped away the mascara off of the girl's face while she took her thumbs right after and used it to wipe away the tears he had shed-only leaving red marks where the tear stains where made.
With that, Naruto slowly yet lovingly embraced Nia as the two had settled their argument peacefully.
"I'm so... relieved right now," He kept the girl close, "I was so scared you'd really leave me. I'm so glad that wasn't the case, ya know?"
"I'm sorry," The girl apologized, "I'm sorry for hurting you. I really do wanna be together forever, but it's just... those people and those kids... it'd be sad if they died and this village was littered with their blood."
"No, don't apologize. I shouldn't have gotten so quick to actually think you'd leave me for another guy or that you'd get intimate with anyone other than me. I just... that fear of losing you to anyone else just tore me apart. I couldn't-"
"No one else will ever get to have me," Nia pulled away a bit yet still had her hands on the boy's chest while she again stared deeply in his eyes, "Nobody but you."
Hearing this, the blonde's lips made an upward curve as his cheeks also grew red.
Thank goodness.
However, that smile quickly turned into a frown as he then pouted.
"Curly Brow... I'm still a little mad."
"I said... I'm sorry though."
"Yeah, well, sorry isn't gonna cut it this time. That seriously hurt me, ya know? Especially when you had already promised to be with me forever."
Nia lowered her eyes in shame. She had her reason, but she did break that promise for a brief moment even though she didn't want to and was forced to do it.
"I lost you, Curly Brow..." The genin softened his voice as he used a finger to tilt Nia's chin up, "Just those first few hours without you put a hole in my chest. You really made me actually cry, ya know?"
Nia only felt even more shame.
"But even though what you did, hurt me; I still really love you... I always will..."
Having yet another sudden intense locking of the eyes, Nia began to slightly tremble as she asked, "Does that mean... you'll forgive me?"
"Well, after hearing everything you said moments ago, of course I forgive you." The boy then embraced the kunoichi again as he kissed the top of her head, "I'm so glad I have you. You're so amazing. Just really incredible and awesome, ya know?"
"I'm sorry, Naruto. I really am. I don't ever wanna hurt you, I swear." The girl just kept apologizing, "I only wanna be with you. I love you too."
Taking his hand, Naruto brushed down at Nia's head as he then nuzzled his cheek against it as well.
"...Good. Now that that's settled-"
"GATHER UP THE GUARDS! THE ENEMY IS ATTACKING!" A loud voice startled the teens as feet scurrying around, screaming, and bells ringing throughout the palace all came about.
Quickly, Naruto broke out of the hug and turned around just as the door to the room was kicked open and multiple guards came in and grabbed Nia by the arm.
"Queen, you're no longer safe here! Our lord has ordered us to evacuate you out of here by all means!" One demanded.
"Hey!" The genin stepped in front of the kunoichi as he didn't appreciate how they grabbed her, "Don't touch her! And what the hell is going on out there?! I thought they wouldn't show up till tomorrow?!"
"We were fools to believe they'd keep their end of the deal! Of course they'd ambush us during the darkness of night."
"Queen, you must come with us!"
"Hold on, where's Akihiko in all of this?" Naruto questioned.
"In hiding," The guard answered, "As we speak, we're evacuating as many people as possible."
"You mean he's just hiding away like some kind of coward?! Shouldn't a king protect his people?!"
"Be quiet, young man! We can not risk losing our feudal lord like we lost the previous one. He died defending this village from the evil one."
Nia peeked her head over the genin's shoulder, "You're talking about his father, right?"
The men nodded. Soon after, the entire place began to shake and debris began to fall from down the ceiling.
"Queen! We must leave right now!" Another guard yanked the girl's wrist from behind.
"But-"
"Curly Brow, they're right. Get everyone out of here while I confront those bad guys." Naruto walked toward the door slowly.
The guards then gasped.
"That's right," They said, "If you don't defeat that army out there all by yourself, Miss Nia will marry our feudal lord and have his children."
"Not only that, but all these people are in danger! That's why I gotta go out there, ya know? So no matter what happens, I don't want anyone to worry about me. I'll take them all all by myself!"
"Are you sure though?" Nia worried for him anyway.
The blonde cracked his knuckles, "You bet I am! I'm not all bark and no bite! Besides, it's been a while since I've fought! I've been itching for some action, ya know!"
"Well, okay then... be safe and don't beat them too roughly."
"Curly Brow, you just worry about protecting all these people. Meanwhile, I'll protect you, okay?" Naruto smiled over his shoulder as he then quickly ran out the room and turned right.
Nia only nodded.
Yes... Yes I will.

A/N - Hiiii guys! It feels like a while since I've updated lol and so here it is. It's definitely longer than average but pretty good. Thanks to everyone who participated in the commissions thing, it's fun to write something different lol.
Anyways, HUGE SURPRISE!
So, a reader of this book (who doesn't wanna be mentioned for their own reasons) had came up with this GREAT creative thing they thought I should do in regard to the MMD's I show you guys.
They suggested that I'd make a MUSIC VIDEO of multiple clips for you guys to enjoy. Of course, I was just like: WHY HAVEN'T I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING SO BRILLIANT BEFORE?! 😂😂😂😂
And so, yes. I have made a NaruNia MMD music video using SV pro, but lol since I literally am super new to editing and such and am still learning, don't expect too much out of it. I've only started like a week or few days ago so ya lol.
