Summary: After almost destroying the world, the last thing Blue Beetle thinks he deserves is a date with (Y/N). Yet he still picks up the courage with the help of a few friends and walks up to her.

Jaime took a deep breath and turned to his friends.
"What do I do?! (Y/N)'s right there! And I almost destroyed the whole freaking world 'cause I'm Blue Beetle!", Jaime panicked.
His friends exchanged looks and sighed.
"You gotta buy her a rose, compliment her on her clothes!", Robin sang, thinking carefully.
"Say you appreciate that she's smart!", Tye shrugged.
"Nah, man, you tell her that she excites you sexually!", Bart joked, wiggling his eyebrows.
Jaime turned red and slapped Bart's arm.
"Hermano!!", Jaime sputtered.
"Kidding.", Bart laughed.
"And that's the way you get to her heart!", Bart, Robin, and Tye continued, "Trust me, I know how it's gonna go. Listen and ohh!"
"And there are voices in my ear. I guess these never disappear. I'll met 'em squeal and I will deal and make up my own mind. Might still have voices in my head, but now, they're just the normal kind. Voices in my head, but now they're the normal kind!", Jaime cheered.
"Just summon strength from within!", Cassie sang.
"Don't get hung up on your skin!", Zatanna chirped.
"She probably thinks that acne is hot!", Rocket joked, earning a light punch in the arm.
"I'll throw you a rope, home slice, if you need some dope advice!", Wally grinned.
"Now march on over and give her a shot! Buddy you'll see it'll go perfectly if you listen to me, me, me!", Cassie, Zatanna, Rocket, and Wally sang together.
"And there are voices all around and you can never mute the sound. They scream and shout, I tune 'em out and make up my own mind. Might still have voices in my head, but now they're just the normal kind! Voices in my head, but now they're the normal kind!",Jaime cheered.
He looked at all his friends and smiled.
"Ok, I'm ready.", Jaime declared, confidently.
Everyone gave him an encouraging thumbs up, and a warm smile.
Jaime took a deep breath and started to walk towards you. You were sitting peacefully in the shade of a tree. You were reading a book while listening to some music on your phone.
As Jaime walked towards you, his confidence disappeared and nervousness replaced it.
"Uh, h-hey, (Y/N). Heh, heh... hola!", Jaime said, timidly waving. He mentally facepalmed for stuttering in front of you.
You turned to look at him and smiled brightly at him.
"Hiya, Jaime! What's up?", you said, cheerfully.
Jaime looked at you, flabbergasted. He had thought you were scared of him.
"S-So... you're not mad... of scared of me?", Jaime asked.
You gave him a surprised look, "Why would I be?"
You looked down, "I still remember how it felt... it's embarrassing to find out, deep down I just want things to be easy.", you sighed softly.
Jaime smiled, "Yeah, but who wants things to be hard?"
You softly giggled as Jaime sat down beside you.
"Look... I almost destroyed the school... maybe all of human civilization...", Jaime gulped, "I know that the last thing I deserve is another shot, but, um..."
You raised an eyebrow, "Just say what's on your mind... Jaime."
Jaime blushed dark red and smiled timidly at you, "Lunch? Just the two of us?"
You just smiled back, "And any voices in our heads?"
"There might be voices in our heads, but I swear, the voices there will be the regular kind.", Jaime chuckled.
"Me and the voices in my head have made up our collective mind.", you sang, standing up.
"What do they say we should do?", Jaime softly sang, looking at you with a hopeful glint in his eyes.
"I think that all of us want to go out with you!", you sang, giving him a warm smile.
Jaime's eyes widened as you helped him stand up.
"Really?", Jaime whispered.
You grinned, "Really."
"And there are voices in my head. So many voices in my head! And they can yell and hurt like heck, but I know I'll be fine!", you both sang together, with the team joining in, startling you.
Jaime grinned, "I still have-"
"Voices in my head!", you all sang in harmony.
"Yeah, there are-"
"Voices in my head!"
"Of all the voices in my head, the loudest one is mine!", Jaime cheered.
"Jaime~", Jaime's scarab said.
"Loudest one is mine!", Jaime sang.
"You can't get rid of me that easily!", scarab snarled threateningly.
"Loudest one is mine!!", Jaime exclaimed.
"Jaaaiimmeeeeee...", scarab screeched.
"Na nananana nanana na nana na...", the team sang softly, watching you and Jaime happily run off.
"Na nananana nanana na nana na...", the team sang, smiling at eachother.
"Na nananana nanana na nana na...", the team finished together.
"We're totally following them, right?", Bart smirked.
Everyone exchanged mischievous looks.
"Heck yeah!", Tye shouted.
Everyone started to follow you both, snickering and giggling.
"Let's go!", Jaime yelled happily, grabbing your hand.
"C-c-c-come on! C-c-c-come on, let's go!", you laughed as Jaime dragged you to the top of a hill.
"C-c-c-come on! C-c-c-come on, let's go!", Jaime cheered.
"C-c-c-come on! C-c-c-come on, let's go! C-c-c-come on! C-c-c-come on, let's go!", the team joined in quietly, watching you squeal with excitement at the picnic in front of you.
"C-c-c-come on! C-c-c-come on, let's go! C-c-c-come on! C-c-c-come on, let's gooooo~", you all finished together.
You giggled and sat down.
"You did all this... for me?", you asked Jaime.
He nodded shyly and you kissed his cheek.
"Thank you.", you smiled.
Jaime's eyes widened at the sudden movement, so he gave you a dreamy, lopsided smile.
"You're welcome, amor."
