Although there are many powerful figures in the room, Fredrick's status is still the higher one.
"I am not asking this as a person with high status, but as a parent. Now I'll ask again, who or what made my son cry?"
His words are profoundly translated into our minds, but only Freddie is able to withstand his father's wrath especially without his mother claiming his raging volcano.
"I saw Glenn cried with Ralph standing next to him. Glenn have never really been emotionally strong, so I thought Ralph must've said something mean to him."
I notice his body shivers like a child trying to explain his mistakes to his overbearing parent.
"Ralph, what is your story?"
Ralph looks at his father before retelling how it happened from his perspective.
"I was walking up to see if Ray and Gabe were done since they're taking a while to use the bathroom.
That was when I see Glenn walking out of the bathroom looking very wan with a pale face and red eyes.
I walked up to him and ask 'Are you feeling okay?' but instead of answering me, he started crying. Then," Ralph's eyes gesture to Freddie.
"Seeing the bruises on both of your faces, you both took turn using each other as a punchbag."
Then Fredrick refocuses his attention to Ray and I, "So I'm assuming you two were in the bathroom this whole time?"
I look at Gray before nodding and mumbling, "Yes."
"Was Glenn ever in there with you guys and what were you all doing?"
Ray laughs a little and then stops, "Uh, I was teaching them how to put on make up!"
I think this is how she is trying to cover up so I nod my head along.
"Make up?" Fredrick doesn't trust us.
They all seem to being confused with Fredrick.
"How does that make Glenn sad or angry enough to cry?" Leo asks which everyone nods their head to as well.
"Well you see," she pulls out a wipe and wipes it onto my neck revealing the hickey.
But they aren't paying attention to us at all because somehow the rolled up toilet papers fell out as well revealing the top of the container.
Freddie goes to pick it up and confirms it to everyone, "A pregnancy test...it's positive-"
He quickly gets up to see Glenn but is stopped by his father powerful tone, "Where are you going? You still have to explain this to me."
Then all of a sudden it is Fredrick who is running upstairs to Glenn, "None of you move. Especially, you kids."
"Does that include me?" The younger Dr Vang asks after Fredrick have already left.
Freddie's knees twitch like they want to jump. He comes to us with the stuffs, "Why do you have it?"
Ray makes a look like it was my decision and walks to talk with the younger Dr Vang.
Gray gets up and sits by me to rub my shoulders. I really appreciate his comfort.
"Why are you ignoring me, Gabe?" Freddie's voice is like his father, calm and powerful. Even if he's not yelling at me, I feel like I am being yelled at.
"Go away. He's not ready to talk at the moment," Ralph gets between Freddie and I.
"It doesn't matter if Gabe's ready to talk or not! My brother's at stake here!"
Ralph punch the guy in his face, "What did you say? Gabe is your best friend isn't he?"
"Yes," Freddie returns the favor, "he is, and this is why he shouldn't hide what's bothering my brother from me!"
Ralph is ready to punch again when Gray says, "Stop!"
"I agree," the older Dr Vang and Ralph's dad say together.
Dr Vang continues with, "Isn't it more important to figure out who the father is? Or why he's not telling us anything?"
"Yeah!" Ralph mocks Freddie until his father pulls him back to his seat.
"Then we will be going," Gray announces and Leo and I stand up to follow him.
"I guess we'll be following your example," Mr mdeSillisa adds which Ray and the younger Dr Vang stands up.
"My father said Gabe and Ralph can't leave," Freddie finally translates what his father meant.
"Ralph, bring Gabe to our house once you guys are done. I got a present for him," Once Mr deSillisa is done, they all leave.
Freddie still stare holes through Ralph and Dr Vang sits there indifferent while looking like she's working with her phone.
I begin to gather my thoughts together. If Glenn is pregnant, that means I really did see him at the hotel earlier since he wasn't here either.
I thought the other person is Freddie, but Glenn has very high morals so I really can't be sure about that. Then who can the other person be?
But if that person is really Freddie, then it sort of explain why he tell people that he uses his money on me when he clearly did not.
This also explain why they act like they don't like each other in front of people, but knows each other like right now.
This, again, also explain why Glenn is distress once he learned that he is pregnant.
Although I don't want to admit it, Freddie have to be the reason why Glenn shed so much tears.
I look up to see the nervous Freddie. Once he makes eyes contact with me, I give him a suspicious look to see how he would react.
He quickly averts his eyes in shame. Freddie is guilty of at least something at this point.
The doorbells rings. Everyone seem distressed so I say, "I'll get it!"
"It's okay, we have butlers and maids," Freddie announces so I sit back down still feeling conflicted of my conclusion.
"Dr Vang! No wonder this house is so quite on Christmas Eve," it is the voice of a stern woman.
"It's seriously not my fault?" She laughs and gets up to greet the the woman, "Good to see you this year, Vera."
"Why is my grandson not greeting his grandma?" Vera acts like a disappointed, old, and scary lady.
"Not right now Vera. I don't want to talk to anyone," Freddie's posture is like a mixture between Sherlock thinking and Gollum protecting his precious.
"Where's my son? And the rest of his family?"
"They're upstairs in Glenn's room-not anymore," Ralph says as all three of them walks downstairs.
"It's not that serious dad. I'll come back after a few years," Glenn kisses and hugs his parents. "Bye-bye!"
Glenn comes to hug his grandmother and me and go out the door while no one could stop him.
