"Happy birthday Chris." Chris mom and Dad says entering his room with a home made birthday cake.
Chris slowly opened his eyes and looked at him.
"Aw dang, I forgot it was my birthday." He chuckled sitting up. "Yall didn't have to."
His mom fanned him off. "Oh yes we did, our boy is finally 18." She says tearing up.
"Mom don't cry."
She wiped her eyes." I'm sorry, its just that...it feel like yesterday when you were 4 learning how to tie your shoes."
" I know." Chris chuckled.
His dad stood there,then spoke.
"Your 18 son, yanno what else is happening today?" He asked.
Chris shook his head. "Nah."
"Moving day for you."
Chris chuckled. "Pops, really?"
His dad looked at him.
"I'm serious as hell Chris, I moved out my parents house when I was 16, and I'm letting you go at 18. So get to packing."
Chris mom shook her head. "No honey,Chris can stay forever if he wants to."
"Stop babying him. Pack Chris."
Chris shook his head and done what he was told to do, his mom started sobbing uncontrollably.
