NUMBERS CHAPTER 19
Memory Verse
‘But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself, that person shall be cut off from among the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord . The water of purification has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean.
Numbers 19:20 NKJV
God's Word
Purify
: to remove dirty or harmful substances from (something)
: to free (someone) from guilt or evil thoughts
Maybe we shall think that the law is very strict at the time of Moses. But it is because God wants everyone to be purify. A person will become unclean if he had done something that is against God's law. And the day of purification is a must for him before he serves the Lord or to be with the congregation.
When Jesus died on the cross, His blood purifies us. What we need to do is to draw near to Jesus and let Him cleanse us for all the dirty ways of our lives.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:8 NKJV
Also, the Word from the Lord will cleanse us everyday, so that, once we read the Bible we purifies ourselves.
