Aimeé fixed her Dalton blazer and noticed her hands trembling. She sighed quietly, trying to calm herself.
Even though she and the Warblers became national champions for two consecutive years, she was still nervous since they were competing against fellow powerhouses like Vocal Adrenaline and Portland Scale Blazers, and the talented New Directions.
The three choir groups were already done performing and they went all out. She was very proud of Blaine for his dancing skills, which improved drastically.
She was standing at the side of the stage, fidgeting with her hands when she suddenly heard someone whistle. She stopped fidgeting and looked up to see Sebastian at the other side of the stage, smiling warmly at her.
The other Warblers walked behind him, grinning like idiots and giving her thumbs up.
She smiled happily at them as her nervousness turned into confidence at the sight of them.
"And now, let us welcome the defending national champions from Dalton Academy in Westerville, Ohio. The Warblers!"
As the audience cheered loudly, the lights on stage were turned off. The Warblers walked towards the three stepped stairs and hummed.
Sebastian started singing as he and Aimeé walked towards the stage with two spotlights shined directly on them.

Aimeé and Sebastian gazed and smiled lovingly at each other as the stage lights were turned off and the audience rose to their feet and cheered loudly for them.
Sebastian glanced around the dimly lit stage and quickly leaned closer to Aimeé before stealing a kiss from her lips.
Aimeé flinched in surprise as Sebastian winked at her and walked over to the other Warblers to join them on the three stepped stairs, leaving Aimeé to stand alone in the middle of the stage.
The Warblers started doing background vocals as the stage lights were turned on.

The audience rose to their feet, cheering loudly and clapping enthusiastically.
Aimeé grinned as looked around, her heart racing inside her chest. She turned to her fellow Warblers, who were panting heavily with smiles on their faces.

"And now it's time to announce the winner of this year's individual show choir MVP award."
Aimeé was standing with her fellow Warblers, beside her stood Sebastian, their hands intertwined. She looked over to the New Directions and saw Blaine was already looking at her.
The two exchanged warm smiles.
"From Dalton Academy Warblers!"
The Warblers and the New Directions turned to the Aimeé expectantly.
"Dalton Academy's Captain, Aimeé Crawford!"
As a spotlight shined on a surprised Aimeé, everyone applauded her. The Warblers embraced their beloved Captain before she walked towards the judges and handed her the MVP trophy.
Aimeé smiled happily as she held yet another trophy to place in the trophy cabinet inside the senior commons. She turned to her fellow Warblers, who cheered loudly and proudly for her.
"And, now a round of applause for the finalists for this year's National Show Choir Championship."
Everyone applauded the Warblers, the New Directions, the Vocal Adrenaline, and the Portland Scale Blazers.
"In third place, from Portland, Oregon! The Portland Scale Blazers!"
"In second place, from Akron, Ohio! Vocal Adrenaline!"
Aimeé and the Warblers tightly held each other's hands, the New Directions doing the same. Both groups were anxious for the results.
"This year's National Show Choir Champions! For the first time in years, a tie! Congratulations to the Warblers and the New Directions!"
Everyone cheered loudly and applauded as the shock Warblers and the New Directions were showered with confetti.
The Warblers celebrated loudly, while the New Directions were crying in joy and embracing each other.
Sebastian took Aimeé's MVP trophy from her as one of the judges happily handed her the national trophy. Aimeé smiled gratefully and stared thoughtfully at it before looking over to the New Directions.
Making up her mind, she walked over to the New Directions and handed the nationals trophy to Will.
"Congratulations, New Directions! This belongs to you." she said happily.
The New Directions' eyes widened in surprise before smiling happily at her, while Blaine walked over to her.
"Aimeé."
Aimeé wrapped her arms around him and tightly embraced him. "You guys were amazing, and your dancing improved so much. I'm proud of you, Blaine." she said, happily.
Blaine embraced her back tightly. "Congrats, Aimeé. Congrats to the guys too."
Aimeé pulled away and grinned happily at him and the New Directions.
"Thank you so much!" Will said and smiled gratefully at her. "Thank you, Aimeé, and congratulations to you and the Warblers."
Aimeé nodded happily before returning to the Warblers, and Sebastian approached her.
"I'm curious, why did you give them the trophy?" he asked as he wrapped an arm around her waist.
Aimeé leaned her head on his chest as she looked at her MVP trophy in his hand. "We already have two and it's enough." she explained and looked at the New Directions celebrating.
"They needed it more than we do, and they deserve it."
