But as they were taking her out to kill her, she sent this message to her father-in-law: “The man who owns these things made me pregnant. Look closely. Whose seal and cord and walking stick are these?” Judah recognized them immediately and said, “She is more righteous than I am, because I didn’t arrange for her to marry my son Shelah.” And Judah never slept with Tamar again.

God's Word
This chapter tells the story of a miserable life of Tamar. Judah have 3 sons, the first became husband of Tamar then took by God because of unrighteousness the same thing as the second. And for his third son, Judah told Tamar to go back on his family while she waits for his youngest child, but the real intention of Judah is to save his son from death. As years go passed, Tamar wait and feel that there's no arrangement will happen. So she disguised as a prostitute and Judah sex with her not knowing that she's his daughter-in-law. And when the time came that Tamar had been exposed of what she had done, Judah make a call to kill her but because of the things that he had been left with her it was proven that he is the one who have been sex with her and admit the truth that Tamar was righteous than him and he gave explanation.
Telling the truth can save anyone from death but telling a lies makes danger to someone else or even yourself. Some people doesn't want to tell the truth because they will see themselves shameful. But it is proud to see someone telling the truth even it is shameful.
When I was studying vocational course, I have an experience with my two classmates who also my churchmates to stand for truth. The owner of the school wants us to tell a lies, that if somebody calls us on the phone tell them that we're already finished our course and he said that it is also for our sake. Then when he asked the class who will agree with him for a lies almost all of them raised their hands except the three of us. And we stand firm on our faith not to compromise on them but to tell the truth. That's why the owner of the school meet us and asked why we cannot tell a lie even it is also for us. Then we told him, we know the truth and we stand for the truth, so the school decided to pull out our scholarship. But we are happy for it. Then they didn't continue that thing and gave us a chance to continue.
So when the class ends and giving message for one another. Many of our classmates inspired with us and they will never forget what we have done.
True repentance is all about telling the truth. Lie is a sin and truth is righteousness. Jesus Christ Himself is the Truth. So that, if we lies then Jesus is not with us. God will forgive anything that we have done against His will just only tell the truth, because if not then we will not be forgiven and may cause other's life miserable and your life also. Tell the Truth, let Jesus be your Lord.

Life Application
I will tell the truth no matter what happens, for I know that there is freedom if I didn't hide anything wrong. But when I have done mistakes it is better for me to be in shame rather than praising by others but hidden in a big lies.
