Yes. A fangirl. I am a fangirl.
But I've been hiding my fangirlness for years.
What if it just bursted out when I didn't expect something would happen?
Like, the same thing that I've been wishing for???
In this world, the human race didn't have any interests since then. But when a boyband was created—people were so hyped all over the world. Nobody knew where this band came from. It's like they just popped out of nowhere in YouTube. They don't have a name. But guess who they were?
Percy Jackson, a dumb yet cute guy, which I guess, was the leader of the group. I don't know, but he's cute anyway.
Leo Valdez, hot guy. Who could ever tell he wasn't hot? Surely I'm gonna kill that person!
Anyways.
Jason Grace. I could say he's something who's moody or serious. But yeah, he's handsome. And awesome.
And now we have Nico di Angelo. The thing is, he's the one I had a crush on. He loves McDonald's. So do I. He's just gloomy and doesn't even smile at once. He never smiled. No one made him smile. Not even his other boyband friends did make him smile.
"OH MY GOOOOOODSSS!!!!!! IT'S THEM!!!" Screams overcame the loud noises of vehicles passing through.
I suddenly dropped my phone while I was walking down the streets of New York. It was already in the evening, still the city never died down.
"Holy shit." I muttered, picking up my broken phone and looking to where those goddamn screams came from. I was surprised when I realized the world's famous boyband was just here in New York.
I thought a stampede was happening. I just imagined that—as I stared at the thick mass of crowd surrounding those boys.
Hands raising, trying to reach out to them.
Squeals and screams of 100% pure fangirls.
Phones trying to picture them.
Men who were actually bouncers blocking those fangirls from the boys.
Was I supposed to be in there? Well no. Definitely not. Yes, I am a fangirl. But I'm not like them, sacrificing their lives for them. Okay, was I being harsh?
I don't even know why I like them. Maybe it was their talent.
I turned frozen at the sidewalk, my heart suddenly fluttered when I saw Nico di Angelo studying the squealing girls and some were screaming at him "I LOVE YOU NICO!!!! PLEASE MARRY ME!!!!"
That honestly made me jealous. But it's not my right to be jealous, right?
Well at least, I saw them personally. Especially Nico.
But why didn't he even smile...
I sighed and walked into a nearby coffee shop. I bought my favorite food which was (Y/F/F) with a favorite hot drink. I looked at my broken phone, sighing. "I guess I'll bring you to the fixing center for the seventh time, though," I muttered. I actually wanted to blame those fangirls. And that boyband.
If that boyband didn't show up in public, then those fangirls won't scream and then my phone would've been not broken right now.
"PERCY!!!!!!!!"
"JASON!!!!!!!!"
"LEOOOOOO MY LOVE!!!!!!"
"NICO!!!!!! NICO OH DON'T LEAVE ME!!!!!!"
I yelped and turned around to see some girls trying to get into the coffee shop. Wait.
Those boys entered the coffee shop as well?!
I turned back and continued eating.
"Sorry girls!" I heard the bouncers shout and slam the door shut with the help of some waiters.
The people who were inside—miraculously —didn't even care. They kept reading newspapers, drinking their own coffee.
I suddenly recognized there were no more tables except one. And the table only had three chairs. I saw Jason, Percy and Leo laugh as they immediately ran to sit. My eyes widened when Nico was left standing.
"Keep standing, Neeks!" Percy laughed. Leo laughed too, while Jason smiled a little, then continued scrolling down on his phone.
Neeks. They call him that? I thought. I smiled and looked down, hiding my smile.
"Why are you guys so bad," Nico asked them with a pokerface.
"Eh, just sit with that girl over there!" Leo smirked and pointed to my direction. I noticed that I have another chair infront of me.
I looked away and my heart suddenly beat faster than ever.
"I'll get that chair and bring it here," Nico said.
"NOPE!" Percy slipped out his tongue playfully at him. "Or else I'll tell everybody that you like that girl over there!!" He whispered, which I could tell I was the only one who heard what he said. I blocked my face with a novel book I was carrying. I blushed so hard, hoping that no one could feel the heat rising up my cheeks.
"Fine." I heard Nico mutter and walk towards me. I tried to read, but the words won't come inside my head, they were just swirling around the pages. Are you trying to lose my concentration? I thought to the words.
Well...preferably yes. It suddenly answered back. I muttered something under my breath when....
"Um, miss, can I sit with you??" A voice asked.
"Ahha shit!—w-what?!" I startled and dropped the book onto the table, seeing Nico di Angelo standing before me, staring.
I was speechless. Not knowing what to say.
"Miss?"—
"Oh uh y-yes you c-can," I stuttered.
"Okay," he said, chuckling. He sat, out of the corner of my eye I saw him staring at me.
I startled, shocked of what happened.
Did I just...make him smile?
