"Alys, thank you for bringing him."

I glanced around the large theatre hall, used primaryly for stage productions or musicals. It was awell-known building frequently used by drama students. It had posters, of past productions and events, framed and hung of the wall. There were even prominent figures portrayed in some of the posters, there faces having created a wave in the word at least once in their lives.

Today, the entire hall was reserved for the Student council members to gather and discuss varying topics from uniform adjustments to school events. Many students liked the ambience of the setup as it help set the mind at ease.

Upon entering, I was welcomed by a rather ambiguous atmosphere. Large maroon curtains we're drawn close, allowing the amber colored lamps to illuminate the area in its soft embrace. Tables were spread out on the ground floor, draped in silky white table cloths and decorated with silver, unlit candle sconces. It creatured a beautiful picture, though it didn't feel like a school theatre hall at all.

Adding to this picturesque scene, a young man was seated behind a grand piano placed on a centre stage with a 360 wide-view of the room. The piano was polished to look like Jade, and it screamed wealth and riches.

Pierce fingers moved expertly across the keys, showing his skill as they moved effortlessly. The soft tune that flowed from his fingers was truly moving.

Unfortunately, I wasn't the musical type. I could only clap when the show was over, and that's it.

Alys announced our arrival, bobbing her head in greeting. Her face was clearly flushed yet her overall expression remained bitingly cold. I suspected the girl had face paralysis but didn't know it.

Pierce acknowledged our presence with a brief nid, his fingers lifting from the piano and gently closing the lid.

Alys retreated out of the hall and closed the doors with a gentle click.

Even though I had prepared myself for this situation, it didn't mean I felt at ease. I was in the presence of a boy whom had a hand in publicly humiliating Ria. I could barely control the anger seething inside my heart.

However, now wasn't the time to show my petty side.

With this conflicting feeling tearing a hole within me, I found myself avoiding direct eye contact.

"Let me formally introduce myself," introduced Pierce, "I am the student Council president, Pierce. Its a pleasure to meet you, Seven."

Though I was inwardly uncomfortable; outwardly, I maintained a carefree appearance and greeted with a smile, my hands clasping the enemies. Is this how it felt to parly with the enemy who came to rob your land?

"Like wise."

When I had finished with my short greeting, a smile appeared on Pierce handsome face. It made his presence soften considerably, making one feel welcomed to chat with him while feeling special. It caught me by surprise. I quickly pulled my hand back, barely surpressing the urge to exclaim. I wondered if I had met a fake but this was clearly the same guy...

"What did you want me for?" I asked bluntly.

I didn't want to show how uncomfortable it was to be in his presence, especially when he wore such an expression.

Pierce chuckled, further demolishing my three views.

"We have a position available within the studuent council. We need someone to help with managerial purposes. Your tasks will include helping with school events, supporting clubs and the like."

"Why me?"

"You were recommend by the Principle."

That damn meddling uncle whom I have yet to meet. What is his end goal?

Pierce voice pulled me from my thoughts. It was full of patience and

"Would you be interested?"

My mind turned over the positives and negatives of accepting the position. First off, the negatives would  include being around you hateful people a few times a week. The positives, getting to know they enemy.

"I'll think about it."

Seemingly unsurprised by my answer, Pierce went on to say, "Of course, you'll have to go through a screening as there have been other recommendations and applications made."

I nodded. I wasn't arrogant enough to think I was the only one being considered for the position.

Suddenly, the large doors behind us burst open with a loud thump and a group of people streamed into the hall.

"Sorry we're late!" Called a youth, his small figure seen at the head of the group.

The speaker was an extremely short and slightly chubby looking boy whose flushed cheeks reminded me of a squirrel hauling nuts. His curly brown hair, wide green eyes and lightly freckled skin was the definition of cute!

He was just so damned cute!

I had a weakness I didn't want anyone to know about. Just thinking about it made me lament in my heart. I was highly suspectible to to cute things!

Whether they were in the form of babies or grown ass humans, my hands would itch to pinch cheeks and rub heads.

But, I restrained myself with great effort. I couldn't break my image...not yet.

Fortunately, another thought cooled the fire raging in my heart. I tilted my head in wonder. Since when did little kids attend high school?

"We were caught up in the cafeteria during rush hour and I had lost my spot in the line, so then I had to abuse my power to get it back. Eh, who is this pretty boy? Are you looking to join our circle? Blah blah blah blah...My name is Charlie but you can call me Charles. What is your name?"

Cuteness aside, this kid talked way too much. He spoke a slew of words in a short amount of time, that it left me blinking in the dust. Just where did he get the energy to talk so much?!

He had said so much words within a short time frame that, honestly, I had missed half of what he'd said.

"Uh, nice to meet you, Charlie." I numbly greeted.

"Charles! Didn't I just tell you to call me charles?! Are you trying to pick a fight?!"

Charlie suddenly burst with anger, hi small form flew towards me as he berated.

"How old are you? I'll tell you now, I am eighteen years old, blah blah blah..."

Shocked by the sudden outburst, I stepped back and stole a look at Pierce. He was coughing into his hand, clearly surpressing his laughter.

My mind blanked. He was laughing?

My theory that he was a Fake resurfaced. He had to be, because the Pierce I know wouldn't smile or laugh...in the game.

My face suddenly distorted. A torrent of curse words flew out from my mouth and I clutched my throbbing shin.

If I had to make a comparison of how painful it was, then the pain was equivalent to stubbing your toe under the door. I barely managed to stop from hopping around like an idiot and bawling my eyes out.

"Don't ignore me when I am speaking to you! No look what you have done! Blah, blah, blah!"

It didn't take a genius to realise that charlie the chibby was angry with me. Big toe aside, I felt incredibly wronged yet strangely amused.

When I saw Charlie ready to attack me again, aiming a kick to my other shin, I swiftly evaded it. It wasn't that hard, as his legs were small - all I had to do was step to the side.

By moving sideways to evade him, I ended up bumping into Pierce. My animosity towards the guy still hadn't registered at this time. My hands locked onto his stiff arm, so to keep myself from falling.

My head fell back and I laughed heartily at Charlie who was glaring fiercely at me from below.

I hadn't felt this much excitement since my sister had told mother Smith that she was pregnant just to see her reaction. Our mother chased us both around the house with a wooden spoon. I was only included in the mess because I had laughed too much.

"What's so funny?!" Charlie screamed.

Not only was his round face red but his entire body had flushed a deep shade.

Successfully evading yet another kick by switching positions, I peered around Pierce formidable back and  managed to give a serious reply.

"I'm sorry, but you remind me of a little three year old throwing a tantrum. How could I not laugh? All because I called you Charlie...pfft."

In my past life, I had once worked a part-time job babysitting family friends children, from as young as one years old to twelve. Throughout that money earning phaze, I had babysitted a few three year olds who were roughly the same; loud, cheerful and easily disruptive -  if you said the right things.

"I won't forgive-"

Whatever Charlie had to say was suddenly blocked off by the hand of the tall girl who had been standing by, silently watching the scene with glittering eyes.

If Charlie was the squirrel, then this girl was definitely the giraffe...or bean sprout.

Tall, lanky with a handsome appearance. Her long limbs could probably wrap around Charlie twice, and even though she looked like a twig, she easily hoisted Charlie up, who was kicking and screaming into her arms. It appeared effortless for her, like she were merely picking up an ant. I couldn't help but stare at her in wonder and admiration.

"Excuse my older brother, he didn't take his medication this morning." The tall girl apologized with her head ducking down.

Older brother?

I chuckled and released Pierce, walking back to my old position while dusting down my uniform.

Thank's to Charlie's little disruptive display, the hate that was curling in my chest was temporarily diffused.

"It's fine." I said.

The tall girl sighed in relief and then smiled off her pearly white teeth as she said, "My name's Cherry. I'm the student council accountant and bookkeeper, It's nice to meet you."

"I'm Seven, n-"

"Yeah, yeah we already heard about you."

The third arrival had also been quiet until now. I hadn't forgotten about him, I just wasn't expecting him to sound so hostile off the bat.

Excuse me, we had just met!

But when I looked his way, I felt my face seize in recognition.

Oh, it's probably that huh...

Li Sheng - my brother from another mother.

Even though I had only encountered him on Stars To Lovers a few times; those few times were memorable to say the least. A complicated feeling brewed inside of me.

With crystalline eyes, platinum blonde hair and fair skin, many will agree that he resembled a doll, angelic even. It was a shame he has a truly venemous personality and never tries to hide it.

The most noteworthy thing about Li Sheng is his presence within the game as the only male rival character. His capture was the pure and ever-oblivious, Qin.

Li sheng was adopted at a young age by a chinese ambassador. He was brought up as an only child, spoiled beyond belief. His privilaged attitude contributed to his twisted personality, allowing him to grow very possessive of the things he liked. His possessiveness borderlined on the obsessive.

From my dusty memories, he come to know Qin due to their families being close friends. They are considered childhood  friends. He was also close to Sharon but something happened during middle school that made them despise each other's presence. It wasn't written into the story, so it was deemed unimportant.

As I didn't finish the game, I knew very little about Li shengs characteristics. I only remembered those few times I had encountered him. He was the scum of scum.

To be honest, I had totally forgotten about his character because of everything that had happened.

Li Sheng glanced my way, his eyes a pool of abyssal darkness.

Unfortunately, I wasn't a push over. In fact, his type always incited me the most. It made me want to be the first to see him crumble at my feet. The pleasure of seeing him crying was truly tempting.

My heart moved by the thought, and my eyes deepened on his Angelic face.

Besides, Li Sheng's character is too stuck up. He needs to learn that not everything is his and his alone. Maybe snatching Qin will teach him a lesson.

Since I'm not one to back down, let's keep Qin for now.

"He cannot join the student council," said Li Sheng, not even bothering to look at me after that one incited glance.

His sour mood is most probably due to Qin hanging me the past two days. Knowing Li Sheng's personality, he probably keeps a tab on Qin that is not inferior to Nurse Jones tab keeping of his sister. He hated "pests" the most.

"You have no say in the final vote," came Pierce's ruthlessly cold reply.

#The burn was real.
