Last night was the best sleeps I have gotten in a long time. When I woke up the next morning I felt good, well rested and ready to take on the day. Before I opened my eyes I could feel a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. As I opened my eyes I found my head is on Lexa's chest and her arm is around my waist. Her eyes are still closed and her breathing is even. She looks peaceful for once.

I sighed and closed my eyes again to take in this moment. Right here, right now I can see myself wanting to be with Lexa, the way she has kept me safe and how she is holding me now. She makes me want to risk my heart again.

I didn't even realized I fell back asleep till I opened my eyes again to find the shades that were covering the windows are now open. Lexa is still laying next to me though, this time her eyes are open and they are staring back into mine.

"Good morning." She said in a quiet voice.

"Morning" I said and put my head back into her neck. Lexa sighed and held me tighter.

"Are you okay after what happened last night?" Lexa asked.

"Last night was the best night of sleep I have had in a while." I said.

"I'm glad to hear it, are you ready for some breakfast?" Lexa asked.

"Yea but I want to lay in bed with you for a little bit longer." I said and held onto her tighter.

"I'm not going anywhere Jenna, after breakfast we can come up here again and have a lazy day." Lexa said.

I just nodded and slowly sat up. Lexa followed my lead and we went downstairs. Sitting at the kitchen table already is Luna. Lexa stood in front of me and we both looked at her. Luna must have felt our gaze because she looked up. She looked tired and guilty.

"Morning Luna" I said trying to be civil.

"I would like to speak with you alone for a minute if that's okay with you Lexa." Luna said.

Lexa didn't look happy, she looked at Luna for a long minute before she sighed and walked into the kitchen. I stood still as Luna put down her spoon from her coffee and looked at me.

"I just want to apologize for last night. I didn't mean to be snarky, I'm just trying to look out for Lexa." Luna said.

"It's okay, I get it. I would be doing the same thing if I was in your position." I answered.

"No you don't, at least not yet. She is really lucky to have met you. When she tells you about everything it will become clear. I'll try and not be as rude as I have been but it will be hard. The last time this happened, things didn't end well for Lexa. I just don't want history to repeat itself." Luna said.

"What happened last time?" I asked.

"Don't worry about that Jenna, things are better now that you're here." Luna said and got up from her chair.

Not even a minute later Lexa came out of the kitchen holding two bowls. She sat in the same place she did last night and I did the same. She pushed the second bowl in front of me and I looked inside. It is some kind of cereal.

"Everything okay?" Lexa asked after she finished what was in here mouth.

"Yea everything is okay." I said and took a spoonful of cereal into my mouth.

We ate the rest of our breakfast in silence. When we were done Lexa took me back up to her room and closed the door behind us. She brought me to her bed and we sat across from each other.

"I want you show you something." Lexa said after taking a deep breath.

Whatever she wanted to show me I have a feeling it means a lot to her. I have had this feeling that I'm still missing something when it comes to Lexa. She is a mystery I'm desperately trying to uncover. There are so many levels to who she is as a person and I have only just scratched the surface. I still barely know anything about her. The only things I know is that she has an odd family life, she loves World War 2 for some strange reason and she can do magic. I wonder if she is pagan.

"What do you want to show me?" I asked.

"Something that can make you want to leave me. Something that I have only ever shown one other woman." Lexa said looking at her hands.

"What? Do you have a dead body laying around somewhere?" I asked jokingly.

"At the moment no. But I'm being really serious here Jenna, please just be serious with me for the next couple of minutes." Lexa said.

I don't like serious moments. They were something I hated and tried to avoid as much as I could. I always end up laughing or doing something goofy during them. I just nodded and looked at Lexa.

"I'm going to show you something, you can react any way you want to it but if you want to leave please let me explain before you do." Lexa asked.

"Okay what's going on Lexa you're making me nervous." I said moving a bit on the bed.

Lexa didn't say anything. She just sighed and closed her eyes. When they opened her eyes turned into that electric blue color like they did when she healed my hand. The veins appeared on her face, rippling just under the surface. Then she opened her mouth. Her normal white teeth now whiter, sharper. Now her canine teeth are longer, fang-like instead of their normal size.

"I am a vampire Jenna." Lexa said.

Her fangs look sharp, I almost wanted to reach out and touch them but I thought I better not. Looking into Lexa's eyes I found uncertainty. She wanted to know how I was going to react and I don't know how I am going too yet. There is still so much I don't understand.

"How is this possible?" I asked very confused.

"There are a lot of things you don't know yet but we can get to them as time comes along. But I didn't want to hide this from you, this is very important to me and who I am." Lexa explained.

"How is this possible? Vampires don't exist, none of this should be possible." I said shaking my head.

"I know you think the world is turning upside down but there is one more thing you need." Lexa said.

Before she could say anything Lexa pulled a small jewelry box out off her nightstand. It's the same box the Luna gave her the other night. It feels like fire in my hands as I open the lid. Sitting inside on the black fabric of the box is a ring. It's a gold ring. On the face of the ring is a grand looking M. It's twisted in the middle and as little accents at the peaks and at the ends.

"This ring is my wax seal, the M is specially designed. Luna Delma and Annalise have there own wax seal rings from me but theirs are skulls." She explains.

"Lexa I can't take this." I said and closed the box holding it out to her.

"Yes you can and you will. In my world this can bring you protection. This is yours now Jenna." Lexa said.

I couldn't say anything back to her. I didn't know what to say so I just pulled the ring box to me and opened the box again. I pulled the ring out of the box and looked at it close up. After looking at it for a minute Lexa took the ring from me and put it on my ring finger on my right hand.

Once it was in place I felt a rush of energy shoot through me. I don't know what it was but once Lexa put the ring on my finger I feel like a lightning bolt shook me.

"Did you feel that?" Lexa asked and looked up at me.

"Yea, what was that?" I asked with my chest heaving.

Before Lexa could answer the door to her room opened and Luna, Delma and Annalise all stood there.

"I told you she was the one." Annalise said.

"Oh Jenna" Lexa said and it looked like she was going to cry.

"Lexa please explain to me what's going on, I'm still very confused and none of this is making sense." I said starting to freak out.

"Hey Jenna look at me." I heard Delma say and look at me. "Just breath everything is okay." She continued.

"I want to go home, I need to go home, I can't be here anymore." I said and moved to get off of the bed.

"Then let me take you home Jenna." Lexa said as I looked around for my shoes.

"No, just leave me alone." I said and slipped on my right shoe.

Quickly I found my left shoe and grabbed my bag before pushing past Luna and Annalise before running down the stairs and out the front door. It felt like I was escaping a prison. I slipped my bag over my shoulder and started running. I didn't stop running till I got home. The run helped clear my mind but when I burst through the door all I wanted to do was cry.

I slid down the back of the door and I put my head in my hands. What the hell am I going to do? How did this happen? Why me? I sighed and felt the first tears fall down my face.

"Jenna? Is that you?" I heard my mom yell from upstairs.

"Yea it's me ma." I said and wiped the tears off of my face.

Only a few minutes later mom was sitting in front of me looking worried. I didn't say anything but crawled over to her. She wrapped her arms around me and held me close.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked quietly.

"I don't know what to do anymore." I said and tried to stop the silent tears from falling.

"How about I go order some pizza and we watch movies all day?" Mom asked.

"Sounds good" I said and wiped the last tear off my face.

Mom and I got up off the floor and headed to the couch while mom went over to the kitchen. As I sat down I looked at the ring on my finger. Lexa's voice is playing in my head as I stare at the ring. Finally I had enough and I try to pull it off. I pulled at the ring and keep trying to take it off but it wouldn't budge. It was like the ring was glued to my finger.

I kept trying to take it off until mom came into the living room with the pizza about twenty minutes later. The rest of the day all only thing I was thinking was what the hell am I going to do now?
