Part 6

"So wait a minute? You almost shot him?" I asked Gordie shocked listening to the boys stories as we sat at the diner. "Yep," Gordie said, "I would have shot him. He was going to try to kill my best friend and I wasn't going to let that happen." Chris and Gordie looked at eachother. Chris ruffled Gordie's hair, "Yup. This kid got me out of a lot of shit back in the day." Chris said. I was amazed at the story I had just heard. They had such loyalty to eachother. I had never had friends that had meant that much to me. "Gordon LaChance why did we stop hanging out?" Chris said with sincerity. "We stopped having time. We never stopped being friends. We just stopped having time and haven't seen eachother around much anymore." Answering that question seemed to make them both sad. "Well I think you'll be seeing a lot more of eachother now. I mean I have fifth period with Gordie and I'm dating you so... We can all hang out when there's time." I said. We all smiled. The bell above the door rang. The boys had their back to the door but I had a clear view of it. They continued to talk amongst themselves. I noticed tall toe headed boy and a curly haired brunette boy with a scar near his eye walk toward our table. The boy with the scar slid into the booth next to
me quickly, putting his arm around me roughly. I fought against him, as the blonde slammed a hand on the table. "Chambers you little faggot," he yelled, "you weren't there so your father beat on eyeball. Now I'm gonna beat on you." Chris ignored the yelling but Gordie looked scared to death. "Get your fucking hands off of her eyeball or I swear to god..." He was cut off by the blonde, "You swear to god what Chambers? Is this your little girlfriend?" He said looking at me. "What's your name sweetheart?" He asked in a menacing tone.  "What's your name? Narcissistic?" I said back. "No that's not my name..." He continued to say something else, but I cut him off, "Right that words too big for you to say. Well my name is proctologist because I know an asshole when I see one." All four boys jaws dropped wide open. "Hooked yourself a feisty one Chambers. You're gonna pay for that."
