When I woke up today, my face was a bit swollen up due to all the weeping and stuff. I'm pathetic just like my life. Once Ryan hung up on me, I cried for awhile and went downstairs to have dinner. Caleb and Britt came back around 10pm and we had a sleepover. We always have sleepovers. I told them about Ryan's behavior and broke down completely. Finally after the console session was done, the three of us cuddled against each other and slept.
I had to put makeup today to hide my puffy eyes. Damn, it was so tiresome. Not that I never use makeup but I don't put too much. Today I had to.
I entered school with Caleb and Brittany. Again people shot me some looks, probably wondering why I'm not with any of the wolf/hot guys, I guess. Oh! I can't call my best friend hot. So Caleb is exceptional.
Zander being the sweetheart he is, walked up to me and asked if I was feeling okay. He even asked Caleb for conformation. Awe.
Caleb, Brittany, Zander and I walked to the first class together since we had the same class. But what I didn't expect to see there was, Ryan Adams.
He doesn't have that class with me. He was talking to some guy from his pack, I think his name was Harry or something. Harry is in this class.
As soon as we stepped in Ryan glared at us, more like, at Zander and I. We weren't even holding hands or anything, yet he burnt holes on our faces and looked at us, as if we were his enemy.
He was about to leave the class and I blocked him. Yeah! I'm that bold. I'm not meaning about blocking him would show my boldness but getting embarrassed in front of the whole class if Ryan yells, needs lots and lots of courage. And I don't know who filled that garbage inside me today. I'm doubting the Wolf Goddess.
'You're right, dear.' Her voice echoed in my head. Huh? Wow, she chose to talk to me though mind links.
'Can you hear me too?' I asked dumbly, still blocking Ryan's way.
'Yes, dear.'She said.
'I'll talk to you in few minutes, mam.' I didn't know how to address her.
"What?" Ryan asked annoyed. Seeing me standing there, blocking his way but saying nothing made him irritated, I guess.
"Why are you being this way?" I asked looking into his baby blue eyes. He closed his eyes and turned away once he opened them again.
He sighed and said, "No reason." With that he left the classroom by pushing me aside, slightly.
Few bitches were laughing in the background. Pft.
Don't cry. Don't cry. I chanted these words in my head as I walked back to my seat along with Zander. He sits beside me.
'Why's he behaving that way, Goddess?' I tried to communicate with her.
'It's part of the mate thing.' She said.
Hmm?
'But Zander isn't like that!" I added and waited for her wise answer.
'Okay! I can see clearly that you are struggling so much to make your choice.' She ignored my point about Zan and started with her new plan, 'You've just a day left to make your choice. And I'm going to make it a lot more easier for you.' She sounded genuine. Of course, she's a goddess.
'Really?' I couldn't help but squeal in my head.
'What are you gonna do?' I asked very impatiently.
She laughed and said, 'You'll see it yourself but don't leash your emotions when they try to get out. Just make the choice when you know who is the one.' I gulped at the sound of it.
'Okay.' I said and tried to listen to the rest of the class.

Damn! Ryan was in my class after lunch. He was acting so childish. He was staring at me creepily for a long time and when I catch him staring, he'd immediately look away and act as if he wasn't even looking in my direction. It happened for about five times and I couldn't digest his behavior at all.
So, I started staring at him the same way, a bit more creepily and when he caught me staring, I turned away but not before sticking my tongue out at him and shooting him a smug smile.
I think Caleb was watching all of it so he was laughing his head off. God! One more annoying person in the same room.
I didn't wanna turn around and waste my energy and give Ryan the satisfaction of annoying me successfully.
A crumbled paper landed on my desk from Britt. If I were a wolf girl too, she wouldn't had to do all this. She could just mind link. Sighs.
'Will you stay back with me? Caleb's got basketball practice after school.' It said.
'Sure. I've nothing better to do.' I passed the crumbled paper back.
She grinned at me widely.

After school Britt and I were settled down comfortably in the bleachers. The evening practices take place in the outdoor basketball court. A week before the game they practise in the indoor one.
We could see some more sports kids having their practises too. Poor fellas. Why can't everyone be peaceful like Britt and I, sitting on the bleachers and having a chocolate milk and strawberry milk?
There were some cheerleaders practising by the side of the basketball court. I don't know why they even need to be there in first place. Pft.
Just then my mobile beeped. I took it out of my bag and found it to be a text from Ashley. Ashley?
I opened it, of course.
Ashley: Kate? I wanna talk to you about something. Are you free?
What? The kid has a sister at home and yet she wants to talk to me which means it had to be a sensitive and more secret issue. Hmm... I rubbed my chin to think of the best thing to reply.
"What yo thinking so hard? Have this." With that Britt shoved a handful of popcorn into my mouth. I had no other go, than to eat all of it. I chuckled at my crazy best friend and looked back at the mobile phone in my lap.
Me: Yeah, sure. I'm at school right now. Caleb's practising. How about after 7pm?
Ashley: I'm okay with it. I'll come over to your house. :)
She had been talking about talking in person all this while? I thought she wanted to talk over the phone or something.
Me : Sounds good. :)
"Kate, don't look up." As I was typing the smiley, Britt sounded full on panic mode. Since she had asked me not to look up, I got so curious to see what was going on. Has Harry Potter appeared out of nowhere?
This is the biggest mistake in my whole effing life. Britt tried to save me but curiosity did kill the cat, which happens to be my tiny heart now.
There was Ryan Adams kissing one of the cheer leader full on the lips. I just froze in the place. I could neither look away nor keep looking at the sight in front of me. Britt squeezed my shoulder and also wiped my eyes. I had been crying? Since when? Damn the mate crap.
Okay, this is it. I made my choice. I wasn't planning to tell the respective mate about my choice but to inform Head Alpha Nick right away.
"I gotta go." I said to Britt and left the bleachers though Britt kept calling out for me from behind. I even heard Caleb's voice.
I stomped so hard on the ground when I exited the school. I was so badly pissed and anger was at the brim, if it gets out the world might come to an end.
I called up to Alpha Nick and told him that the choice was made and who was it too. He sounded too happy and asked me to come over to their place immediately and also asked me to inform the others on my own but I said that I have got some business here to be taken care of(Ashley) and promised that I would be there tomorrow morning. I also asked him not to tell my, now chosen mate about my confession too. I just want him to feel the bond's intensity increasing and find out on his own that I'd chosen him.
It's like twenty minutes time to get to my house by walk. So no biggy. Now my anger was converted into hot flames on my face. Geez! I'm so damn angry.
My mobile blared in my bag. Who is it now? I took my phone out and stopped abruptly on my tracks.
Zander. Did he figure out so soon? Crap.
