Angel's POV
It's been hours. I'm not exactly sure if it is hours but it sure feels so. I'm pretty sure I'm not that far away from Jacob or else I'd be in utter pain. I am in pain now but it's bearable. Being away from your mate hurts one deeply. It's even worse for the ones who are marked.
I really hope he understood what I was trying to say.
I heard the sound of footsteps and a man appeared. He held a tray in his hand with some food. He kept it beside me. I just glared at him.
"Listen I'm sorry about beating you up. My dad would have killed me if I didn't listen to him." he whispered to me.
"Your dad?" I asked.
"Yes, the one who pulled your hair." he replied.
"Oh." I said.
"I brought you some food. I'll keep guard as you eat." he said and I nodded.
I drank some water and started to eat.
"Do you like what your dad is doing?" I asked.
"What? Of course not." he said.
"Then why not stop him." I asked, "Why isn't anyone trying to stop him?"
"My mom tried to. He did this before. Kidnapping another girl from another pack and the Alpha handed him the pack because they were too weak to save her. When my mom finally decided to leave him he-" he stopped and I could see some tears in his eyes.
"He killed her." he said with so much hatred in his voice.
"I'm so sorry." I said.
"It's ok. It's not your fault or anything." he said.
"You miss her don't you?" I asked looking at him.
"More than anything in the world. She was like the coolest mom ever. She'd always have a smile on. She was a really bad cook too." he chuckled.
I giggled.
"Umm what's your name?" I asked.
"Jason." he answered.
"Well Jason want to help me get out of here and stop you father from his sick ways?" I asked.
"I'd love to but do you have a plan?" he asked.
"Here's what you're gonna do. In the video message I told my mate how to come find me. I need you to go find him and tell him I'm ok. Lead him here and make him wait. Then set me free and we can both leave this hell hole. You could join our pack. Then we can plan how to bring down you dad." I said
"Sure." he said.
"Jason?" I said.
"Yeah?" he answered.
"Thank you." I said smiling at him.
"No problem." he replied.
He then left taking the tray with him and all I had to do was wait.
Jacob's POV
We reached to the final place that she directed us to. We then started to follow her scent. My wolf was very jumpy right now. He couldn't wait to see his mate again and neither could I.
We heard a sound in the bushes and some guy came out. I glared at him and was about to shift. I knew that he was a rogue.
Just as I was about to shift he spoke, "Which here is Angel's mate?"
"I am." I said still glaring at him.
"Well she sent me here. She wanted me to tell you that she is fine. We have a plan to get her out of there." he said.
"And why should we trust you?" asked Tyler.
"No wait. Her scent is surrounding him." I said.
"I'm saying the truth. And we need to get her out of there." he said.
"Fine. Lead the way." I said and we started to follow him.
He better be honest or else I will rip his throat.
Angel's POV
I waited patiently for Jason to get back. I really hope the plan would work well. My wolf missed Jacob so much and so did I.
I heard footsteps and Jason came into view. He had a key in his hand.
"How did it go?" I asked curious.
"They're right outside. I'm gonna set you free then we can climb out of the window in the bathroom. If someone sees us I'll just tell them you needed the bathroom." he said and I nodded.
He undid my chains and I stretched my legs and arms happy with being free. Being caged for too long would have made my wolf lose it.
"Thank you." I said.
"No problem. Come on." he said held my hands behind me back and led me out of there.
There were a few guards in front of the door.
"She needs the bathroom." he said and they nodded making way for us.
He walked me over to the bathroom and entered. He stayed out and kept watch. I went and stood on the toilet and started trying to unlock the window yet, it would budge. I let out my claws and broke the lock. I opened the window and looked down.
I could see Jacob and my brothers in the distance. I let out a whistle and all their heads snapped to my direction. I could see relief in their eyes. Jacob hurried under the window.
"Angel, jump." he said.
I gulped loudly. I was pretty high and was getting dizzy from staring down.
"Kitten just jump. I promise I will catch you." he said.
"Ok." I said and prepared to jump when the door flew open showing Jason.
"My dad is on his way here. You need to quickly jump." he said.
"What about you?" I asked.
"I'll find a way out just hurry u-" he was cut by his father who came into view.
"Well, well, well. Did you think you can run away from me that easily?" he asked as he inched closer.
He suddenly slapped me across the face and I let out a scream. He slapped me really hard and my face stung. I heard growls from down but one stood out and I knew it belonged to Jacob.
Out of the blue, a large black wolf came through the window.
I knew it was Jacob.
His eyes were pitch black which meant his wolf was in full control and that he was angry as hell.
He looked at me and his gaze softened before turning hard again as he noticed the red hand marks on my cheek.
Immediately guards came in behind the guy. One shifted into a wolf and attacked Jacob causing them both to fall out of the window.
Me being me, I let out a scream. I quickly jumped out the window shifting into my wolf in midair not caring about the height anymore. My wolf had full control now.
I quickly lunged at the wolf that attacked Jacob and bit his neck, killing him immediately.
"Are you ok?" I asked Jacob through our mind link.
"Yes. I'm so sorry that I didn't protect you properly. This is all my fault." he apologized.
"Shut up Jacob. None of this is your fault." I said.
"Yes it is. If I were a better mate then this wouldn't have happened." he said.
"Jacob. Stop. We have more important things to deal with now." I said as a wolf tried to attack me but I dodged it. I bit its leg causing it to howl in pain.
Suddenly, I felt teeth sink in my neck and everything turned black.
