Tia Pov
Today I had to go out for a little work and to a doctors appointment. Stephen was at practice and Riley was with me. She refused to go to daycare.
Riley- Mommy?
Me- Yes?
Riley- Where are we going?
Me- We're doing a little work and then mommy has a doctors appointment.
Riley- For the baby?
Me- Yes. *Smiles*
Riley- Is daddy coming?
Me- I told him but I don't think he's going to make it this time. He has work of his own. So just you and I. *Smiles*
Riley giggled. Riley and I made some stops. The paps were being rough with us. One of my bodyguards held Riley while the other one guarded me. I kept a smile even though I was being pushed and shoved. It was a little too much. When I got in the car I can tell Riley didn't like it either.
Me- I'm sorry baby.
Riley- It isn't your fault so many people love you mommy.
Riley played with her teddy bear. I chuckled.
Me- Ice cream?
Riley-*Gasp* Yes please!
Me- *Laughs* Yea, we'll go.
The driver took us to an ice cream bar and Riley and I got out and walked in. It was other moms and their kids.
Riley- Mommy, can I get cotton candy with sprinkles?
Me- No cherry?
Riley- *Smiles* That too!
Me- I knew it. *Chuckles*
I got Riley a kids cup and the ice cream person scooped her ice cream up and added sprinkles.
I got a napkin and wrapped one around her cup and I put the rest in my purse. I handed it to Riley and she smiled.
Riley- Yeaa!
She took the ice cream and started eating it. I was still looking down at her.
Me- How is it? *Smiles*
Riley- Yummy!
Me- I can tell by your messy mouth. *Chuckles*
Riley cheesed.
Riley- Eat.
She held out her spoon.
Me- No thanks. I'll past.
Riley- Nono. Eat.
She tried standing on her tippy toes. I sighed.
Me- I guess.
I bent down and Riley fed me.
Riley- Yummy?
she smiled and licked her lips. I gave her a thumbs up.
Me- Yummy for my tummy.
Riley- *Giggles* For the baby in your tummy.
I chuckled.
Cashier- Ok, that'll be $6.50.
I handed her a $10 bill. I put my change in the tip jar.
Me- Come on, let's go ryry.
Riley started walking in front of me.
Cashier- Bye Tia and Riley! *Smiles*
I smiled and waved bye. I helped Riley in the car and we were off to my appointment. While Riley ate, I laid my head on the window. I wished Stephen could come to this with me. He never missed one. Again, this goes back to separating...... I am alone all the time since I been pregnant.
When we got to the doctor office, we got out. My bodyguards sat in the waiting room with Riley while I went to the back. I knocked on the door.
Dr. Keith- Come in.
I walked in and smiled.
Me- Babe?
Stephen- Hello. *Smiles*
Stephen was sitting in a chair. He had on some sweats and a golden state t-shirt.
Me- I thought?
Stephen- I told them I had to do something and that I'll be back soon.
Me- Aw, you came.
Stephen- I haven't missed one have I? *Smiles*
I smiled back at him then looked at my doctor.
Me- Good Afternoon Dr. Keith.
Dr. Keith- Same to you Tia. So why don't we just jump right in.
Me- Fantastic.
Stephen helped me onto the bed and I laid on my back. I unzipped my dress a little and he started the ultrasound. That's when the heartbeat started. Stephen grabbed my hand while looking at the screen.
Dr. Keith- She has a very loud heartbeat. *Chuckles*
Me- Is that normal?
Dr. K- Very.
Me- Alright. *Smiles*
Dr. K- From the looks of it she's doing fine.
Stephen kissed my cheek. We still listened to the heartbeat.
Stephen- *Chuckles* She's sucking her thumb.
I chuckled at that too.
Riley- Mommy?
Stephen and I looked towards the door. It was an ice cream face Riley. She was rubbing her eyes.
Me- Yes?
Riley- I'm tired.
When she looked up she noticed Stephen.
Riley- Daddy.
She walked to him and he picked her up. She laid on his chest.
Stephen- You here the baby's heartbeat?
Riley nodded and reached down to poked my stomach.
Riley- She's in there.
Stephen- Yes she is. *Smiles*
Soon Riley fell asleep and we got ready to go.
Me- Thank you for coming.
Stephen- I'm your husband.
We smiled. I took Riley from him and we kissed each other before going out separate ways.
