Today while Tia and I go out to plan our wedding, Riley is going to daycare. She isn't so happy about that.
Right now Tia is putting Riley's clothes on. I was downstairs in the kitchen. I was listening to the radio and Meek Mill & Nicki Minaj new song came on. It's not the bad actually. I was doing a little rapping. Just a little.
Me- *Sings* She was the baddest.
Tia-*Sings* He was the realest.
Me-*Sings* We was the flyest.
Tia- *Sings* We was the illest.
Me- *Sings* I was the realest.
Tia- *Sings* I was the baddest.
Me-*Sings* We was the flyest. Up in the building.
Tia chuckled and I turned the radio down.
Tia- Somebody's jamming.
Me- To be honest, I turned the radio on to listen to jazz. *Chuckles*
Tia- That didn't sound jazzy. *Smiles*
Me- I didn't even hear you come downstairs.
Tia- I kinda eased dropped on you.
I chuckled.
Me- That explains.
Tia- I didn't know you knew that song.
Tia ate one of my grapes.
Me- I heard it a couple times.
Tia gave me a hug from behind.
Tia- Even in heels I'm not taller than you. *Frowns*
Me- *Smiles* Shorty.
Tia- I don't even wanna hug you anymore.
She let go of me. I laughed and grabbed her arm.
Me- Hey, I'm sorry. *Smiles* You're fun size.
Tia- I accept your apology. *Smiles*
Tia and I were fine to kiss but we heard Riley scream our name. We was fine to walk upstairs but we saw her hanging from the upstairs balcony.
Tia-*Gasp* Riley!
Tia ran upstairs in her heels. I followed her. Tia and I pulled Riley up. Tia held her because she was crying.
Tia- Riley, what were you doing?!
Riley- My bear fell *Coughs* in the plant. I tried to get it and I fell over. *Cries*
I looked down at the plant we had sitting in a corner at the edge. I reached down and got it for her.
Me- You could've told us Riley.... You could've got hurt.
Riley- I know..... Am I in trouble.
I could tell Riley was really sorry about what she did.
Me- No you're not in trouble.
Tia- We're just happy you're ok.
Riley nodded and Tia wiped her tears.
Me- Ready for school?
Riley shook her head. I took her from Tia.
Me- Whelp, you have to go.
Tia went and got Riley's backpack and lunch box. I carried Riley downstairs.
Me- You want breakfast?
Riley shook her head.
Me- I'm still getting you some.
I went in the kitchen and fixed Riley some fruits in a to go bowl.
Me- You have some strawberries and grapes and bananas.
I popped a banana in my mouth. I held out the bowl. She took a strawberry. Me and her were just chewing while looking at each other. She's challenging me to see who's going to laugh first.
Me- *Winks*
Riley giggled.
Me- *Smiles* Daddy won!
Riley- I never win daddy.
Me- You will someday.
Tia walked downstairs.
Tia- You guys read- Hey, y'all are wearing the same color. *Smiles*
Me- It amazes me how you get distracted so easily. *Chuckles*
Tia- I do not. Anyway, let's take a picture.
She pulled out her phone. I bent down to Riley's level. We did a pose.
Tia- All done. Ok, let's go or Riley will be late.
Tia's documentary crew walked out first. Riley followed. She was talking to a person asking him about his camera. They're going to have so many parts to cut out because of her. I chuckled to myself.
