Teasers:
-The first teaser shows us Springtrap's eyes with the words "I am still here" which many believed was either Golden Freddy or some new Freddy. If the image is brightened, a 3 shows up at the bottom, and more of Springtrap's face is visible.
-The next teaser shows a box under a spotlight with the toy animatronics parts inside the box, with a big 3 above them. If the image is brighten, Springtrap is standing next to the box.
-The third image shows a black screen with purple text saying, "he always does."
-The fourth image shows the map for the game, and if it's brightened, the vents will show up.
-The fifth image shows us Phantom Balloon Boy with the words, "Guess Who?" on it. If brightened, a big number 10 will show up, which was originally meant to be a countdown.
-The sixth image shows us Phantom Chica and Foxy with "it's all in your mind" next to them.
-The second to last image shows us Freddy's hat under a spotlight.
-The last image shows us the same spotlight but with Freddy's hat gone. Many assumed this was Scott's way of saying goodbye since FNAF 3 was the supposed final game. But in reality, the hat was gone because it implied Freddy took it to set up FNAF 4.
Trailer:
The trailer for this game mostly has FNAF 1 references, indicating that this time it is an actual sequel. It is believed we are being shown the after night mini games in 3D here. Unlike the past two trailers, we aren't shown much gameplay. Many believed most of this was gameplay, but now we know the footage is from the FNAF 1 location, rather than the FNAF 3 one. It is here we see Springtrap in full.

Plot:
After 30 years of being shut down, Freddy's is back in an unexpected way, this time they are a horror attraction, based on the "myths" of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A night guard gets hired and now you must survive 5 nights against one single enemy, while also making sure the building is safe, stable, and secure.
Gameplay (MAIN):
Every night takes place in an office, there is no doors, mask, or a flashlight. There is only one animatronic to worry about, Springtrap. All you have to protect yourself is audio lure and vent seals.
Night 1:
On Night 1, it is uneventful, you are simply working as a security guard.
Night 2:
On Night 2, Springtrap has been delivered to the attraction, and now you must defend yourself from him. You have to use audio lure to keep him away, as the suit is made to follow audio cues. During this night, the night guard will begin to have hallucinations of Balloon Boy, Freddy, and Mangle. As a night guard, you also have to reboot the audio, video, and ventilation if it goes offline.
Night 3:
Same as before but now the night guard hallucinates Foxy and Chica.
Night 4:
The game gets more difficult as Springtrap starts to move faster, and now the night guard hallucinates the Marionette.
Night 5:
The final night, beat it, and you win, everything malfunctions quicker and Springtrap moves faster.
Nightmare Night:
Night 6 is a bonus night. Where Springtrap is even harder to deal with.
Gameplay (Minigames):
Minigames are both games and cutscenes. They start at the end of every night. But there is some that are secret.
1. In the first minigame, you play as Freddy in the FNAF 1 location, where Purple Freddy tells him to follow him, when you follow him, he will take you to a room that you cannot enter, which will cause an "ERR" to appear in the corner of the screen. When you try leaving, Purple Guy will come out and destroy Freddy.
2. Same as before but with Bonnie.
3. Same as before but with Chica.
4. Same as before but with Foxy.
5. On the final minigame, you play as a ghost child, you can now go into the room you couldn't before, when you get there, there will be 4 other spirits, you have to chase the purple man around until he gets into the SpringBonnie suit.
6. The first secret minigame, "BB'S AIR ADVENTURE" can be accessed on any night by clicking on the balloon boy poster in the cameras, where you play as Balloon Boy and collect balloons. If you take the secret path on the left, you will fall and land in a dark section, if you keep walking, you will find the secret multi-color balloon. When you play the game again after finishing the Mangle's Quest minigame, you will fall again but this time on balloons, when you jump on them, you will eventually end up to a crying child and give it cake.
7. "MANGLE'S QUEST" can be accessed on night 2 by clicking a combination on the arcade machine on the cameras. When you get there, you play as Mangle's head and you have to collect all her parts to put her back together and avoid the green shirt man. If you take the secret path on the top right at the end, you will fall to a secret place, and if you keep walking, you will find balloons to jump on, when you keep going, you will arrive and give cake to a crying child.
8. "CHICA'S PARTY" can be accessed on night 3, by collecting all the shadow cupcakes in the cameras. You will play as Toy Chica, collect cupcakes, and give cake to all the sad children. If you take a secret path, you will arrive and give cake to a crying child. If you take the other secret path, you will arrive to five cupcakes, where one follows Toy Chica around.
9. "STAGE-01" can be accessed on night 4 by typing a combination onto the wall during gameplay. You will play as FredBear, with SpringBonnie and three kids standing by you. You can glitch through walls, and if you take a really weird, really specific path, you will eventually arrive at a crying child and give it cake.
10. The final minigame does not have a name. But it can be accessed on night 5 by clicking the Shadow Bonnie figure on the table in the dark corner. In this game, you will play as Shadow Bonnie and glitch through walls until you eventually find the correct path to get to a crying child and give it cake.
11. "HAPPIEST DAY" can be accessed on any night by clicking on the Puppet poster in the cameras. You play as Charlie Emily where you walk past some kids with masks with cakes on tables, until you make it to the end to see a crying child. This game is only complete when you give cake to the other children. When you give cake to the one in the BB minigame, when you finish the Mangle one, Fritz appears. When you finish the Chica one, Susie appears. When you finish the FredBear one, Gabriel appears. When you finish the Shadow Bonnie one, Jeremy appears. After collecting them all and going to the end of the table, you will give cake to the final child.
Cutscenes:
1. When you finish the Night 5 minigame, William will get into the SpringBonnie suit, laugh, and then die, then the spirits fade away as he dies.
2. When you finish the Happiest Day minigame, the final child puts on a Golden Freddy mask. The spirits then all disappear and their masks fall to the ground.
Story (Spoilers):
Springtrap torments the night guard for five nights, and at the end of the game, we find out Springtrap was actually the purple guy all along. In this game, the spirits are trying to find rest, even if they don't appear in the main gameplay. At the end of the game, the attraction burns to the ground before it even opens.
Story (Non-Canon, Game Over)
Unlike the previous two games, there is no game-over screen. When Springtrap jumpscares you, he just kills the night guard and that's it.
Connection to the other Games:
FNAF 1: The FNAF 1 location appears in the minigames and so do the animatronic's suits.
FNAF 2: We now know the yellow suit mentioned in FNAF 2 was SpringBonnie. Also, it is theorized the kids being freed in this game are actually the DCI, not the MCI, although Golden Freddy disproves this.
FNAF 4: FredBear's is mentioned in phone calls, and then appears in FNAF 4, along with SpringBonnie. Plushtrap is also a reference to Springtrap.
Sister Location: Fazbear Frights appears in the final cutscene of this game, as well as Springtrap.
Pizzeria Simulator: This game is implied to take place after FNAF 3. Also Springtrap makes his return here.
Ultimate Custom Night: The ventilation mechanic returns in this game, which is there so you always have a reason to flip up your cameras. Springtrap, Phantom Mangle, Phantom Freddy, and Phantom BB return. The noise in the minigame when Purple Guy destroys the animatronics, returns and plays sometimes when Springtrap kills you.
Help Wanted: There is a FNAF 3 mode in this game where you can play FNAF 3 in VR.
Special Delivery: Springtrap returns.
Security Breach: Posters that were in the FNAF 3 location return here, although technically they're from other locations as Fazbear Frights used old relics. Springtrap also returns in this game.

1. If you click on Freddy's nose in the poster in the office, it will make a honk sound.
2. Sometimes the Cupcake appears in the office, and disappears when you open the monitors.
3. Sometimes the paperpals of Freddy and Bonnie appear in the office.
4. Shadow Freddy will sometimes appear in the corner of the office.
5. Sometimes, the Toy Bonnie drawing in the cameras will turn into the cupcake, and sometimes even Golden Cupcake.
6. The Freddy posters in the cameras sometimes change into SpringBonnie posters.
7. Sometimes Springtrap screens will appear with a loud noise playing. The first one shows a picture of Springtrap staring at you that will sometimes show up after the warning screen. The second and third shows him trying to take his suit off, revealing a corpse inside him, one appears after a game over, and another appears when you start the night, both rare as well.
8. If the map is flipped upside down, it looks like Animdude running. It is unknown if this was intentional or not.
9. If you brighten up the final newspaper in the game, Springtrap will be behind the Freddy doll, implying he survived the fire.
10. The other games had random "blah blah blah" text in the newspaper. But this game had:

Endings:
Bad Ending (Canon):
After completing the 5 nights, you are shown the 5 heads of the animatronics with lights in their eyes, indicating that the spirits were not set free. We know this is the canon ending as the spirits live on in FNAF 6.
Good Ending:
If you complete all the secret minigames and finish all 5 nights, you will get the same 5 heads but with their eyes turned off, meaning the spirits have been set free.
Nightmare Ending (Canon):
After completing night 6, you will be shown a newspaper about Fazbear Frights burning to the ground.
