Sunghoon's POV:
Everything's being going quite well lately..it's been around 2 months since Jake and I made up and It's going on good..well,not with my parents..but who cares..my main concern right now is confessing to Jake..atleast I'll get a clear view if there's any hope left of him actually liking me..I decided I'll ask Jay and Jungwon for advice since they've been together for quite a long time now..so they should be able to give me some advice right?
I looked at Jay who was busy eating his burger and Jungwon was just scrolling through his phone..we were at McDonalds right now..
"Hey Guys.."
"Hm?" Jungwon locks his phone and looks up..Jay was still eating and looked up with his mouth stuffed..
I sighed.."I need some advice..I was uh...thinking of confessing..to Jake.."
Jay immedietly put his burger down and took a sip of coke..and sighed..his expression turned serious..like he was going to teach me a spell to make Jake fall in love with me.I know he's just gonna spew nonsense..
"Look..confessions are all about good timings..Timing is the key.." Jay says in a serious tone.
"Says the one that's always late.." Jungwon remarks..and I almost chocked on my ice tea as I couldn't hold back my laughter..
"C'mon wonnie I'm tryna change okay.." Jay pouts dramatically and Jungwon just pats his head and looks back at me..
"Try hanging out alone with him..you know like..a date? but don't make it obvious that it's a date okay..that way maybe you can know about his feelings a little more..without making him uncomfortable..which I'm sure he isn't around you.."
"Now that's some good advice..thanks Won.."
Jake's POV:
"So Geonu..how's everything going on with Heeseung Hyung?" for the first time today,Geonu was quiet..it's not like him at all..and I'm sure it's related to Heeseung hyung.
"I don't know anymore Jake..he just leaves after ten to fifteen minutes of me coming there..it's like he hates my presence.." he had a frown not leaving his face.
"Geonu..just ask him what's the problem.."
"I'm shy.."
Daniel coughs dramatically.."You? shy? Geonu please..this is too much.."
"I'm not exactly shy..but I'm scared he thinks of me as just another Guy bothering him.."
"Well..you are.."
"Hey Jokes apart..I think you need to speak to him..be brave Geonu,I'm sure Heeseung hyung will give you an answer.."
"Fine.."
Geonu's POV:
I don't feel like Going to study with him today..He'll prolly leave the moment I get there..I decided to study at the campus Library instead of the cafe where Prez went..why bother him when he dosen't even want me around..
I started doing my assignment which I hate ofcourse but it's due tomorrow..it took me around an hour and a half to get it done..I packed my bag and went out and decided to have a butterscotch pastry cause it's my comfort dessert and I really needed it at the moment..it's not gonna be easy to let go of someone like Prez..but who even am I? he's the hearthrob,SC president and probably has half of the med school crushing over him..and the other half on ice guy..Jake is talented and good at studies..not to mention he's incredibly handsome,Daniel's intelligent and looks clean and attractive,me? I don't even know..what's good about me? what am I good at? it was my mistake to think I was worthy of liking someone like Prez..
I noticed my cheeks getting wet..wow I was crying? I took a bite of my pastry and wiped my tears..I sighed and stepped out of the shop after finishing three pastries..
I realised it was still early to go home,It was just 5PM..Daniel has something to attend to and Jake had dinner plans with his family so they weren't available to hangout with me today which is even more sad cause I need someone by my side right now..I decided to just go to the campus library again and study..I hate studying but I had nothing else to do..I reached the campus library and stopped by the restrooms..I washed my face so atleast I don't look like I cried but when I looked up at my reflection in the mirror I burst into tears..I don't know why..I guess I was really tired..I stood up after my little breakdown and washed my face again..and as I turned I saw someone leaning at the door frame..Prez? can this day get any worse? I just embarrased myself..well done..
"How long have you been standing there?"
"Well..quite a long time for your liking.."
"Ok whatever.." I was walking out only to be pulled in again by my wrist.
"you didn't come to the cafe today.."
"Well I don't think anyone wants me there..I am just a bother to you anyways.." I said and rolled my eyes.
"And who are you to decide if you are bothering me?"
"Sorry?" what does he mean..twisted words of intelligent people are out of my reach.
He sighs.."are you like free tomorrow?"
"why?
"Well..we can hangout..if you want?"
"I'll ask my friends.."
"Uh..I was actually refering to you and me.."
"Then..isn't that a 'Date'?"
"Friends can hangout too.."
"WE are NOT friends.."
"well Then call it a date or whatever.."
"Did you just asked me out on a date?"
"Well I wish I could just take it back-"
"No! no takebacks anymore..you said it! fine I'll see you tomorrow..text me the time.."
"wait I don't have your number.."
"Gimme your phone.." I quickly type my number.. "here you go! bye!"
Didn't imagine the one who was the reason of my breakdown would be the one to fix my mood..haha..
NEXT DAY:
Jake's POV:
I yawned as I took yet another coffee(the 4th one since morning)..After dinner yesterday I had to pull an allnighter for completing the assignment due today..it's the first time I forgot an important assignment..but I did it..
"Hey Jake..if I'm not wrong it's probably your 3rd coffee since morning.." Daniel looked at me with worry evident eyes.
"4th.."
He sighed "why don't you take a nap..our next class is in an hour.."
"It's okay Dan..I'll just go home early.."
"You better go..you look really tired..don't push yourself too much.."
"I won't.."
"Well..you are doing it..will you stop doing that worksheet Jake? It's due like in a week.."
"it's better to do it early..who knows I'll forget about the due date again.."
"I'll remind you if you forget..now will you please close that just seeing you doing it is giving me a headache.."
"Fine fine..where's Geonu? I didn't see him after the morning class.."
"He said he had to buy a gift cause he's meeting someone important today.."
"Oh..okay.."
I reluctantly closed my worksheet and when I looked towards the garden I saw Sunghoon and that girl from earlier Talking and laughing..although Sunghoon said she's just a classmate and a friend he recently made..it still makes me think if he likes her..but what's it to me anyways,I just have to congratulate him if it's true..
"Jake.."
I snap out of my thoughts on hearing Daniel's voice..
"Yeah Dan?"
"Do you like Sunghoon? like not as a friend..?"
"eh? no?"
"that's not a question you needed to answer with another question Jake.."
"I don't..why do you think I like him..he's my best friend.." I looked at Sunghoon again..I don't know why but looking at him lauging and smiling, a little smile did crept on my face unintentionally..
"Jake.."
"what?" I diverted my eyes from my best friend and looked at Daniel
"It's a bit obvious to me that you don't just think of him as a bestfriend.."
"c'mon Dan..that's not true.."
"you maynot know this but..your eyes sparkle when you see him or talk about him.."
"well..that's because I'm happy we made up and are best friends again.."
"There's no use arguing with you..fine,I'll just take a nap..you do what you please..wake me up.."
"Alright.." Just why is everyone set on the opinion that I like Sunghoon? I don't like him..right?
A sudden flashback of freshers party came in my mind when Sunghoon kissed me,I put my hand on my chest cause I felt odd..it's a different feeling..is it possible that he gets drunk and kisses me again?
what the hell am I thinking!? it's all because of this idiot Daniel..I don't have feelings for him..but again..why do I feel like this..it wasn't even a kiss but just a peck..but I can't deny that my heartbeat fastens the moment I remember that kiss..gosh..I need to stop thinking about this..
"Jake!" Great! I was tryna forget the kiss and here he comes..does he even remember he kissed me?
"Hey hoon!"
"woah! you look pale..are you okay?" He touched my forehead to check if I was sick..
"Nah..I'm okay I just pulled a allnighter.."
"hey..don't push yourself too much Jake.."
I nodded as an answer
"you're free tomorrow?"
"yeah..why?"
"wanna go hangout..you and me"
"well,let's call Ji-ho and others-"
"no..Ji-ho said he's busy..so are others.." wow this lowkey sounds like a date then..but he said hangout..I'm thinking too much..I need to get some sleep..
"Hey! Jake! so you're coming tomorow right?"
"Uhm..yeah why not? but where are we going?"
"Movies,amusement park,skating,hiking,karaoke,whatever you like.."
"Oh My God Sunghoon..why the hell are you so hyped up about a hangout?" I laughed awkwardly cause he wasn't giving any expressions.
"It's a Date.." I froze..Did he just ask me out on a date?
"A friendly date.." He spoke shortly after..thank God..
"well Okay then..you scared me their for a second..a friendly date it is.."
"am I that unlovable Jake?"
"huh? what..no that's not what I mean Hoon.."
" remember when we had an argument in front of the Cafe two months ago?"
"yeah?" oh! I fogot..he confessed to me then..but I thought it was just a crush he had years ago..
"I mean..I said I liked you back then..I'm sorry.."
"huh?" he's sorry? because he liked me? I'm supposed to tell him that it's okay..but here I am just staring at his eyes..not knowing what to say..why can't I look away!? but he isn't either..
"Hey lovebirds! are you two done with your staring contest?"
The voice made both me and Sunghoon turn and look at Jay,Jungwon and Daniel looking at us with permanent smirks plastered on their faces..
"what Lovebirds? what the hell no..we were just talking.."
"Yeah sure..we saw how you were talking.."
I just laughed off the awkwardness..but Sunghoon just got up and mouthed a 'Let's go' to Jay and went off like hello? you can't just leave me with unanswered questions..
I was fine a while ago..but this Guy just..he makes me questions my feelings..istg PARK SUNGHOON!
