After I listened to him, I felt very bad. My Ruhaan has suffered so much. I know the pain of losing someone whom you love. I lost my Maa at a young age and I have also lost him for 10 years.
I looked at him and saw he was lowering his head. Suddenly, I heard some sobs and thinned my brows.
Cupping his cheeks, I made him look at me. His eyes were red, tears were filled in his eyes.
"It happened all because of me." He said and cried silently.
My heart sank when I looked at him crying. I couldn't imagine him in this state. He started crying like a baby and I couldn't stop myself from hiding him in my embrace.
He hide his face in the crook of my neck and cried. Tears were falling on my skin which I didn't cared. I patted his back to console him.
"No Ruhaan, god had already planned this for our lives. Nothing happened because of you. It's just because god wanted that. God wanted to take a person who was kind and pure hearted and that person was Avantika. You called her because you wanted to make her happy, wanted to spend some time with her. And I know you can never hurt a person whom you love so much. Not only that, you can never hurt a person without any reason." I said.
"But I have, I have hurted my Avni and hurted you Sohana." He said and cried loudly.
"Shhh, you never hurted her. And about me it was just because of your past. Please, don't cry. I can't see you like this. It hurts. It is hurting me a lot." I said as tears filled in my eyes.
He lifted his head and looked at me. Our faces were inches apart. He stared at my eyes and asked
"Why are you crying?"
"Because you are crying."
He wiped his tears and looked at me. Bringing his hand closer to my face, he wiped my tears and I kept looking at him.
"Don't cry." He said.
"You also don't cry."
He smiled a little and said
"I have a reason to cry, Dr. Sohana. But you don't have one." He said.
"I have." I replied.
"What?" He looked at me and asked.
"Mere saamne jo insaan betha hai uske aankho main main ansu nahi dekh sakte." I told him and he stared at me.
(I can't see tears in the eyes of the one sitting in front of me)
I blinked my eyes and looked at him.
"We should go home. It's late." I said and stood up.
"Dr. Sohana." He called me.
I turned back and looked at him. He lifted his head and looked at me.
"No doctor had ever made so much effort to make me happy." He said, "Thank you so much, Dr. Sohana." he continued and smiled at me.
"Your most welcome and I can do anything for you to make you happy. To make you the old Mr. Rai-
"Ruhaan. You can call me Ruhaan from now. And about your efforts. I am really grateful. Once again thank you so much Dr. Soha-
"Only Sohana, if you want me to call you Ruhaan then you also have to call me Sohana." I said cutting him off.
He smiled and said
"Thank you Sohana." I felt butterflies in my stomach when I heard my name from his mouth. Now there was no formality between us.
"Your most welcome, Ruhaan." I said and he stood up.
He smiled and nodded.
Oh my Krishna, today he smiled at me for 4 times.
"We are late, let's go home." He said and I nodded but something cracked in my mind.
"Wait!"
"He looked at me and thinned his brows.
"How did you get to know that I was here?" I asked him.
"Oh, actually when you left I searched you outside the hospital but you were not there. After that I went back to your cabin and saw that you have left your bag. Suddenly a girl named Alisha called you and I picked it up and told her about the incident. And that girl is very dangerous, she scolded me for 1 hour continuously. Then, I asked her if she knew where you could be. She told me that whenever you get sad you come to this place. So, I came here. Thanks to your dangerous friend." He said and I sighed.
This girl is more crazy than me. But wait a minute. He checked my mobile? Didn't he find out that I have kept his photo in my wallpaper? No, if he knew that then he would've asked me. Yes!
"Oh, I am so sorry. I will talk to her about this matter. Don't worry. And sorry for her behaviour." I told him.
"No, it's okay. Actually I kinda deserved that. I hurted you. So it was for that. Anyways--
"Thank you for this." He completed taking the guitar from the bench.
"Should I drop you or----
"No need. I have my car. I will go by myself." I said and he nodded.
"Bye then." I said and waved my hand.
"Bye" He said and we both left from there.
On the way to my home I was only thinking about him. He has developed. He is smiling often. He is talking calmly no like other days rudely, sternly. He is caring for others. He is developing. Soon, he will my old Ruhaan.
I reached my home, got freshen up and was watching some cartoons. Suddenly my kutti called and I talked with her.
"Hello." I responded.
"Asshole." She said.
"What?"
"What what? How dare you to leave the hospital like this? Do you know how much tensed I was after hearing about you from your lovey dovey Ruhaan." She said and I made an 'o' face.
"Arey, I was just hurt by his actions that's why I left from the hospital. But don't worry I am completely fine." I assured her.
"But-
"I am fine na Alisha. Don't worry."
"Okay." She said and remained silent.
"Do you know Ruhaan is developing?" I told her excitedly.
"Really? Nice then. By the way is your mission completed? I mean knowing about his problem, his past?" She asked me.
"Yes, he did loved someone. Actually, he loves someone." I said and she gasped.
"What? Are you serious? Then what will you do?" She asked me.
"That girl is dead Alisha." I said as tears filled in my eyes.
"What? Ho-how?" She asked me.
I told her about that incident and cried.
"He has suffered a lot. I knew what it feels like when you lost the person whom you love. He was crying so badly today." I said and she started consoling me.
After sometime she asked
"Sohana, doesn't it hurted you when you got to know that he loves someone?"
"No, it didn't hurted me. It made me feel proud of him. In this generation where men do forget their girlfriends or wives easily, my Ruhaan still loves her. Still loves her Avantika. Maybe he will not be able to unlove her ever. I also don't want that. If ever he falls in love with me, I will just pray that he gives me a special place in his heart. I don't want to take Avantika's place. He loves her so much and it shows that how honest, caring, genuine and lovable person my Ruhaan is. I am really happy after knowing that." I said and smiled.
"Oh, very nice. I hope you will get what you want." She replied.
"Yeah. Okay good night. It's late. I have to sleep. My eyes are hurting because of crying." I said with a heavy sigh.
"Yes, go and take rest." She said and I hung up the call.
