You quickly walked down the stairs, not giving a care if you fell down them. You were ready, you were dressed and had a backpack in hand, making sure to pack some snacks.

You didn't want to forget anything, as this was going to be a long day. Bakugo approached you, looking you up and down.

"Where're you going?" He asked.

You jumped off the last step. "School," you responded, as if it was supposed to be obvious.

He stared at you confused for a moment but then realized it and scoffed. "Uso-tsuki," Bakugo teased as he shook his head.

You rolled your eyes and waved him off, taking a deep breath and putting on your best normal face before you walked into the kitchen. "See you later, mom," you told her, trying to sound as casual as possible.

"Are you ready for school?" She asked, quickly stuffing a cookie in her mouth.

You ignored the action, "Of course," you lied smoothly, avoiding her gaze. You knew you had to sell this lie if you wanted to pull off your plan. "I'll see you after school, love you!" You quickly grabbed your phone from the table and rushed out the door, Bakugo following very slowly behind.

"Slow down," Bakugo shouted as you speed walked away from the house.

"Walk faster," you shouted back.

"Don't tell me what to fucking do!"

You looked back and saw him far away from you, not even moving a muscle. Just standing on the sidewalk, staring straight at you. You groaned as you walked back to him.

"Where's the phone?" Bakugo asked as you were finally closer in hearing reach.

You stuffed your hand into your pocket, fishing around for your phone. "Right here," you stated as you showed him the phone, unlocking it for the coordinates.

Bakugo leaned in, the two of you staring at the screen as it loaded.

You looked back, your house still seeable. "Can we go?"

"Can you stop being so damn paranoid?" Bakugo retorted back, shutting you up for the while.

"There, let's go," you said, slapping the screen as it finally loaded.

Bakugo grunted and the two of you began your walk.

You took a deep breath, filling your lungs with the crisp, clean air. It was a refreshing change from the frigid air of the past few days. As you strolled down the sidewalk, you couldn't help but notice how different everything looked in the warm sunlight.

The houses that seemed dull and dreary in the cold were now bathed in a golden glow, making them look inviting and cozy. A small smile grew on your face as you kept walking, it was so much better than those snowy days.

"Goddamnit, Uso-tsuki!" Bakugo shouted in your ear.

You were snapped back into reality, "hey," you said as you moved away from him, giving him a look as you rubbed your ear.

"Are you fucking deaf?"

"We are barely down the street, the location is not going to make a big change," you stated as you shook the phone. "And either way, we got a long way to go. This place is pretty far, it's at the edge of the city."

"You have your pass this time?"

"Of course I do, and I have the money I promised to pay also," you said with a big smile.

"Wipe that smile off of your face, we still got a lot more to do," Bakugo scoffed as he walked a faster, leaving you behind him.

You waited at the bus stop once again, but this time it was a totally different experience. The sky was painted in shades of pink and orange, a breathtaking sight that you couldn't help but admire. There were no differences to the trees, they were still bare, their branches reaching towards the sky.

As you sat there, you couldn't help but notice the stillness of the morning. The streets were empty, the only sound was the occasional chirping of birds perched on nearby trees and sometimes after a while a car would pass.

Bakugo sat close, there was less distance between you than the first time you and him sat at the stop. Maybe he was becoming more comfortable with you.

"What do you think is going to happen when we get there?" You asked, staring down at the screen as it glitched.

You looked up to him, he shrugged as he looked down at you, now realizing that you were looking at him, he looked away. "What's that shrug for?"

"If there's anything dangerous over there we have my quirk, if there's nothing then we got nothing, got it?" Bakugo explained.

You nodded at him, you didn't know if there was going to be anything there except an out of business place. It was a questionable designation but if Bakugo believed there was something there, you trusted him.

The world seemed to stand still, as if waiting for something to happen. And then, in the distance, you heard it. The sound of an engine revving, getting closer and closer. You looked to see a bus in the distance, already close enough to get up and wait, and so you did.

You stood up, waiting for the bus to come to a stop, the doors opened with a hiss, and you boarded with Bakugo following from behind.

You smiled a big smile, but it soon fell when it wasn't Mr. Akerman sitting on the driver's seat, instead an unfamiliar man sat there, waiting for you to scan your bus pass. "Ah, sorry," you said with an awkward smile as you used your pass for you and Bakugo.

You took a seat by a window, now feeling strange unease rise in you. Bakugo sat beside you, staring at you for a moment.

"What's wrong? You keep staring at the driver."

"Something is wrong," you stated. You shifted in your seat uncomfortably, it was as if your body could feel there was something totally wrong here. "I don't know what it is but I feel it, Mr. Akerman is always here, he always works, something happened and I don't know what," you explained, trying not to stare at the driver.

And once you looked back at him, he was staring through the rear view mirror, right at you. You quickly averted your gaze, looking down at the phone. "I need to get off, we need to get off," you said as you stood up, everyone now staring at you.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Bakugo rasped, pulling on your coat.

The bus came to a complete stop and you quickly squeezed through Bakugo's legs, pushing yourself into the aisle. You walked through the aisle, getting closer to the front.

You needed to get off this bus, and during this moment you completely forgot your bag.

Bakugo tapped his foot, watching you walk away. He looked back and forth from the bag and you and groaned, grabbing it and standing up. He rolled his eyes as he followed in suit.

You walked down the steps of the bus without saying any 'thanks yous' and left. You turned around to see the driver staring at you, not Bakugo.

Just you.

And so you let him stare at you, you gave him a look back. The doors closed with a squeak and the bus began again.

"What the hell was that?" Bakugo shouted as he shoved your bag onto your chest.

You stumbled backward, instinctively holding onto your bag. "There was something up with that driver, he kept staring at me," you tried to tell him.

"Maybe because you're acting like a damn lunatic! Standing on a moving bus and getting off unexpectedly, yeah, I'd stare at you. Actually, I'd fucking kill ya..." Bakugo kept on yelling but his voice soon started to drift off as you fell deep into thought.

You couldn't stop thinking about the bus driver, what was wrong with him?

That bus driver was doing something, or maybe he knew. Maybe knew what you were doing- no. He couldn't have known, you haven't even spoken to your mother about this, how would he know?

You started to talk again, bringing yourself out of your thoughts. "It's not like we're far, we're pretty close by."

"Gimme that," Bakugo growled as he snatched your phone from you.

You let him take it, if it was going to calm him down then it was fine.

"This is close to you?"

"I've biked longer than that," you boasted.

Bakugo scoffed, "Yeah right, I'd like to see you try." Bakugo tapped on the phone, clearly agitated. "Your phone is shit," Bakugo spat as he kept on tapping.

You rolled your eyes, leaning in to help but he pushed you away, saying, "I can do it myself."

"It's the WiFi, it's not going to be that good," you said, but he kept tapping. Without any notice he started to walk, he looked down at the phone, leading the way with you following him.

Every once in a while he looked back at you, you didn't know if it was to check if you were still there or if he was hoping you were gone.

Whatever it was, he kept looking.
