"Katherine looked just like you, it was freakish." Bonnie says to Elena as the three of us are preparing the carnival that is happening tonight in school.
"She is my ancestor. Hey, I moved the student booth into the cafeteria." Elena says.
"Your vampire ancestor who doesn't just resembles to you like a family member would. She is you." I tell Elena.
"I don't know, I can't explain it. It's creepy, that's all I got."
"How do you know she's not still out there pretending to be you?"I ask her.
"I don't but I could sit here and be tortured by the not-knowing or I could get these prizes to the ring toss."
"Have you talk to Damon since he killed Jeremy or tried to kill Jeremy?" Bonnie asks.
" No Bonnie, I haven't and I won't and I don't want to talk about Damon or anything else that's vampire related okay?" She gives a bag full of plush to Bonnie. "I'm human. And I have to do human stuff. Otherwise, I'm going to go crazy."
"Okay, I'm sorry, I'll focus. We have to make Caroline proud or she will kill us. Ana, I don't know how the two of you do all of this."
"Well because they're not human, obviously." Elena jokes.
"Obviously. I'm a witch" I tell them and we laugh.

The carnival is underway. Elena is talking with Bonnie.
"The ring toss is out of Bart and Homer dolls and Team Jacob T's." I tell Bonnie and Lena.
"Okay, I can grab some from the science club. Also we lost a speaker in the karaoke room." Elena tells us.
"Hey, all good Elena, take a beat, look around. This is a huge success." Bonnie tells her.
"You mean I can do more than just freak vampire havoc?" She asks us.
"Go figure." We laugh, I look at a man who is repairing one of the stands.
"Hey, Carter, right? You're with the carnival." I ask him.
"That'll be me." He tells me.
"Okay, great." I say.
He looks at Bonnie. " Wow, what do you need beautiful?"
"What do you know about karaoke speakers?" She asks him.
"Why don't you show me the problem?"
"Yeah Bonnie, show him the problem." Elena says, motioning encouragingly with her eyes.
"Okay, come on." Bonnie says. They leave. And Elena and I smile.

Elena, Stefan, Damon and I are in a classroom talking about Caroline.
"How did this happen?" I ask.
"Well, I fed her blood and Katherine obviously killed her and A plus B equals..."
"But why?" Elena asks Damon.
"Because Katherine is a manipulative, nasty, little slut."
"And she said 'game on'? I mean, what does that even mean?" Stefan asks.
"It means she's playing dirty. She wants us to know."
"But why Caroline?" Elena asks.
"I don't know."
"Caroline must be completely out of her mind, she doesn't even know what's happening to her."I say." I say.
"Oh I think she does. All of my compulsion from the past started wearing off the minute she was in transition." Damon says.
"We have to find her." Stefan says.
"Yep, and kill her." Damon says.
"You're not gonna kill Caroline." Elena tells him.
"She knows who we are. She's officially a liability, and we've got to get rid of her."
"Damon, absolutely not." I tell him.
"Need I remind you of a tragic little story of a girl named Vicki Donovan? Caroline, of all people, will not make it as a vampire. Her mother is a vampire hunter. Guys come on, we all know how this story's gonna end, just flip to the last chapter and..."
"It's not an option Damon." Elena tells him.
"No? Your silence is deafening, Stefan. Wait, wasn't there a school carnival the night you staked Vicki? I never had a town where history repeats itself. You know I'm right."
"We're not gonna kill her." Stefan tells his brother as he and Elena and I follow.
"It's the only way." Damon says looking at Elena and me.

"You agree with Damon, don't you? Stefan?" Elena asks Stefan as we are looking for Caroline. Stefan punches the side of a trailer.
"Stefan. Hey." She calls for him.
"Damon's right, not about what we should do but about what's gonna happen. Katherine already signed Caroline's death sentence."
"Well we can't let it end that way." I tell him.
"She's doing this to me, isn't she?" Elena ask him.
"Actually, she's doing it to me." Stefan tells her.

Stefan and Elena are still looking for Caroline. Stefan notices something different in the air.
"Where could she be?" Elena asks.
"What is it? Do you hear her? What's going on Stefan, what is it?" I ask him.
"Blood. I can smell blood." He says and we go towards the place where he smells blood.
3rd POV:
Caroline is crying next to Carter's body. Damon arrives. She has blood all over her face.
"He's dead. I killed him. What's wrong with me?" She cries.
"Hey, hey it's okay. I can help you." He says comfortingly.
"You can?" She asks him.
"Yeah, I have to."
"What are you gonna do?"
"The only thing I can do. I'm gonna kill you."
"Please don't! I don't want to die!" She tries to plead with him.
"Yeah, but you are already dead."
"No! I'm not. Don't say that, okay? Just help me!"
"Okay."
"Okay? Just help me please! Please, please!"
"Okay, okay. It's the only way." He embraces her and behind her back raises the stake ready to kill her but Stefan arrives and rushes over and pulls his hand away. The stake falls to the ground.
"Stefan!" he tells his brother.
Elena and Ana are standing with Caroline.
"Get away from me! You killed me!" Caroline says thinking Elena is Katherine.
"No, no, no, no, Caroline, That wasn't me. You know that. That was Katherine." Elena tries to explain her friend.
"No! Then why did she look like you?! And why, why did she do this to me?!"
"Stefan, we've got to get her inside." Ana tells Stefan.
"It's alright, Caroline, come with me." He tell Caroline.
"She will die, it's only a matter of time." Damon tells them.
"Yeah, maybe so, but it's not gonna happen tonight." Ana tells him.
"Oh, yeah, it is." He picks up the stake and rushes over them but Elena puts herself in front of Caroline.
"Damon, she's my friend." She tells him. Damon hesitates, staring at Elena who refuses to move. Then he drops his arm.
"Whatever happens, it's on you." He says when Bonnie arrives.
"Caroline?" She asks shaking her head repeatedly in denial. Looking between her friend and Stefan, Caroline sees the horrified look on Bonnie's face "Bonnie?" she calls out to her friend in fear, and hope that she will help her.
When she steps back Bonnie sees lifeless body of Carter and rushes towards it. "Oh god." Bonnie says in shock.
Caroline calls out to her friend again, hoping she'd come and console her, make sure that everything will be fine. When Ana sees that won't happen, she turns to Caroline and pushes her into Stefan's arms, as the three of them go take the girl to clean up and try and explain everything regarding her new status. as a vampire.
Ana's POV:
We head to nearby bathroom, I enter first and Stefan and Caroline following closely. I take some paper towels, open up the faucet to wet them, and start cleaning Caroline's face, while Stefan opens up the bathroom stall doors to check for anyone inside.
"She hates me. Bonnie hates me," Caroline says in hysteric over possibly losing one of her oldest friends.
"No, no. She's just in shock, we all are." I assure her, as Stefan walks up to us. "And what about Matt?" Care splutters between cries.
Shushing her, I keep trying to clean her face with the wet towels Stefan's holding her. "One thing at one time. Let's get this blood off, come on." I tell her hoping to calm her down.
"I'm murder, I'm a monster" Caroline cries as we clean her up and try consoling her.
"You had no control over yourself, and right now your emotions are overwhelming you. It's part of the transition, it's normal. Trust me."Stefan tell her.
I go to take Care's jacket to clean it, when Caroline's face vamps out and she starts to freak out. She turns away from the mirror, holding her face in her hands as she heaves.
"Why does this keep happening to my face?!" she continues panicking. Stefan takes a stand in front of her, trying to get her hands off. I let him calm Caroline as I clean out the her jacket with water.
"Look at me, look at me." Stefan repeats getting her hands down. He keeps speaking, "Caroline, look at me. Look at my face." He tells her as he changes it to look like her's, then makes it go back to normal. "You see that? When you feel the blood rushing, you tell yourself that you're going to get through it, that you're strong enough." With his hands holding her face to keep her eyes on him, he continues on, as Caroline shakes her head 'no'.
"Yes, yes, no matter how good it feels to give yourself over to it, you fight it off, you bury it. Watch me, watch me." He tells her to show her that his face hadn't changed again "It's the only way you're gonna survive this thing." Once he's sure that she understood him, he tells her at last. "Try." Nodding at him, Caroline goes on to try willing the rush of blood away. "That's good." He tells her.
"Why did Katherine do this to me?" Caroline asks us still very upset.
" I don't know, I wish I did. Hey, hey, I promise you I will not let anything happen to you." He tells her and I hug her.
