OK, So this is just going to be pretty much the epsiode rewritten, but after the first bit, it will get more and more twists, eventually becoming what we decided in the last part I published.
"Kelly? You're a cop"
"Yeah, Scotty are you working with Booth?" Hailey asked with a tone of urgency in her voice
"Damn it" Hailey muttered
"5021 George cancel that ambo" Jay said into the radio
A bit later
Voight - "Hailey you knew one of the victims?"
Hailey - "Yeah, Scott Jansen, I worked a UC gig 3 years ago busted a meth distribution, ran by Ron Booth"
Voight - "Think Booths behind this?"
Hailey - "it's possible, just got out of prison 2 months ago, early parole for "good behaviour" it's a joke"
Voight - "you keep tabs on this guy?"
Hailey - "sort of. Let's just say I'm not a big fan" she said coldly before walking away
Jay's POV
ever since this Booth guy was brought up, Haileys been really on edge, she hasn't said why but I'm worried about her
We reviewed the tapes, and Voight told us to get eyes on booth right away. After some back and forth on the best way to get eyes on him, Hailey interrupted and said "how about mine"
"Is this Kelly character alive and well in Booths universe" Voight asked
"As far as he knows Kelly got scared and scurried back home to Iowa when he got busted." Hailey said
"Alright and this garret character, says here he was under as your boyfriend" Voight said
"He was killed during that operation" she said her eyes becoming glossy
"What happened"
"We never found a body, so we couldn't bust him, but it was booth, booth never liked garret and one day garret was gone" Hailey said
"Ok, but listen, I want you going under to bust a drug dealer not get revenge for garrets murder" Voight said
"Understood" said Hailey
Me and hailey set up Kelly apartment, and got her wired up for Scottys funeral where she would make an intro to booth
We pulled up, and she stood and watched from a distance, until booth approached her
H=hailey/Kelly
B=Ron booth
B - "Cemetaries really are haunted"
H- "I'm no ghost ronnie"
B- "never though I'd see you again"
H - "was watching the news saw scottys picture show up, thought I'd pay my respects, he was a good guy I really liked him"
B - "you living here now?"
H - "yeah went back home for a while"
B- "ohio"
H- "iowa"
B - "Look I know it doesn't mean much now, but I feel bad about what happened at that new years party"
H - "Things happen we were all a little crazy back then"
B- " so what are you up to now that you're back? Back in buisness?" She asked
H- "ok" she smirked
B - "paint buisness" he said seriously, becoming obviously annoyed
H - "Ok, got it, good to see you again"
She said before getting in her car and driving away
Jay's POV
I don't know what happened on New Years, but as soon as he mentioned it, Hailey froze, you wouldn't notice it unless you knew her well, but I definitely noticed it.
Haileys POV
I changed clothes and headed back to my UC apartment
Shit, I opened the door and Booth was standing there
"How'd you get in here" I asked
"Slipped a Jackson to your landlord, actually said we look alike"
"That's not cool ronnie"
"Packing light huh kelly"
"Not a lot to pack when you're starting over"
"That's thoughtful you brought me a coffe"
"Are you serious ronnie"
"You still in touch with garett?" Said booth
"Nah haven't talked to him in a while" Hailey said
"So Kelly why you move back to Chicago?"
"Lost my job, look I'm ready to get back in the buisness man"
"I don't know there's something about you"
"Just looking out for number 1, no one else is"
"Fine but Kelly, we're starting small, pick up a package bring it to my office then we'll talk about other things" said booth
"Like meeting my friend yeah like that" said booth before turning around and leaving
The next morning
I headed out with the package for booth, and was walking down the street when I noticed someone familiar
My heart dropped a little, when I noticed who it was, Booths nephew, I thought he had got clean and went to college to play baseball, but I guess not.
He followed me for like 2 blocks, until I finally approached him and said "first rule of tagging, don't be seen" smirking at him
"I thought you went to colledge"
"Nah, got kicked out when they found crank in my locker"
"That's to bad"
"Anyhow, I gotta get this to ronnie, you want a ride or you want me to pretend I never made you" I asked
"Can we just pretend you never made me"
"Yeah see you" I said before continuing to Booths office
I gave him the package and it was iodine crystals, looks like he's testing different mixes, but when I mentioned it he claimed it was "Yeah of paint"
So I changed the subject and mentioned introducing my friend "jay" or his UC name "ryan"
"So Kelly, how do you know this guy"
"School together back home met in high-school"
"Taft"
"The eagles"
"You remember my mascot im flattered" I said with a fake smile acting like I thought it was sweet when really it just reminded me how creepy this guy was, he really did remember everything
"I remember everything even your parents names, Emily and Robert right?" He said
I stepped closer to him hoping what I was about to do would throw him off a bit, as I couldn't be sure what their names were supposed to be, after all It wasn't my real parents names, it was all made up
"You know ronnie, when I think about parents I think about that time when you told me about your father, how he used to beat you with an old fishing rod"
"I must have been drunk" he claimed becoming very defensive
"No, you were just being real"
"Call my guy, his name is ryan"
"I'll think about it"
He pressed me up against the wall and, lifted me up, groping me
"What the hell are you doing" I asked
"Checking for wires" he replied so calmly
No not again I thought, before I remembered the button on my shirt was a camera, and the team could see everything that was happening
He let me down and asked "Was I right emily and robert?"
"No, Joanne and Richard" I replied suddenly it came back to me
Jay's POV
I just arrived at mollys, hoping to get some answers, on what was going on with Hailey, I tried to mention it once, but she shut down and basically ran locking herself in one of the bathroom stalls
Ahh there he is, Jeff Raphorsy, he was Haileys case worker, who handled her undercover work on the Booth investigation, I arranged with him to meet me here, in hopes he would help me understand why this Booth guy had Hailey so nervouse.
"Yeah, I reached out when Booth got an early release"
"That must have been upsetting"
"To say the least"
"How's Murphy doing he asked me?"
"Please don't do that" I said with a desperate tone in my voice
"Let it go son"
"She's my partner so if you know something that's putting her in danger, then I need to know, Now"
Eventually I got what I needed and texted Hailey to meet me at the district quick as it was an emergency
I was sitting in the office when she came in
End of Jay's POV
"Hey I got here as fast as I could, what's the emergency? You ok? " Hailey asked
Haileys POV
"This timestamps December 31st New Years eve" he said reminding me of a night I had been forced to relive to many times for my liking recently.
He spread out pictures of me, it was my face beaten and giant bruises almost covering it
"Hailey, what the hell happened" he asked, in a serious but also caring tone
I wanted to cry, or run away and never come back, but I did my best not to show how scared I was, because the last thing I need is for Jay to think I'm weak
So, I turned around and basically stormed out, giving the appearance that I was just pissed he went behind my back like this, which quite frankly I was
"Where are you going? We've gotta talk about this" he called after me
"About what! That you called Rafferty behind my back!" I basically yelled at him
"You didn't really give me a choice, Look I get that you hate Booth and that you wanna nail his ass, but this this is to dangerous."
"It's part of the Job" I fired back at him
"Just tell me everything, I wanna help, ok? I promise" he said instantly calming down
"Booth had just got back in town, and was talking to a major player the feds wanted or ID, there was a party on New Years eve, I got him alone he was drunk, I thought I could get a name he had other things in mind."
"Did he"
"No, I got away, garret got me to the hospital"
"You've gotta tell Voight"
"No" I replied to Jay
"That's exactly what I said to you, remember that and then you called me out, told me I was full of crap" he said trying to get me to change my mind
"Jay, please just let me put the camera in Booths office, and we'll go from there" I pleaded with him
"K, I'm fine I promise" yes, it was completely a lie, but it got Jay off my back so it was worth it
Jay's POV
We had set up for me and Booth to meet, I would be UC as Ryan. But, we didn't use any wires, because Hailey said booth would fins them and kill us both when he did.
We had arrived at the meeting spot, and Hailey was quizzing me
"Ok, we met in highschool whcih one? " she asked
"Taft"
"Home of the"
"Seriously" I said smirking at her
"He does not play" she said, you could hear the desperation, and also fear in her voice
"Home for the eagles" I replied
Right then booth, showed up and we got out of the car
He spoke abruptly
"Just me and him"
"Are you sure I'm happy to-" booth cut her off
"Just me and him"
We headed into a building, and he gestured for me to go into the basement, I asked him what was down there and he replied with "a quiet place to talk"
I tried to avoid going down there, but he pulled out a gun, so I decided to just go with the flow
We got down there, and some guy came out of the shadows, and checked me for wires
He asked for my wallet, and after studying it he started asking me a bunch of questions, and trying to trip me up
"Ok, one last question" he said
"How many times you screw kelly?"
What the hell is this guy playing for
"Excuse me"
"Answer the question"
"Look man when you're ready to talk paper and product, give me call"
"How many times" he asked waving his gun around
"None" I replied, I'm not sure what I was supposed to say
"Deals off take a walk"
I headed out, and went down to update Voight
In Voights office
"He like obsessed with her or something" I told him
Voight nodded for me to continue
"He asked me if I slept with her" I stated
Hailey jumped in
"We can use that, he's vulnerable, he needs buyers" she said almost pleading
Voights POV
"Enough is Enough" I don't know why she's pushing for this so much, but it's a taken a toll on her
"Kelly's moving back to Iowa end of story" I stated hoping she would drop it but no
"Boss, I think you should reconsider"
"Hailey! He yelled, resulting in her jumping "it's over"
I told them to go shut down the UC apartment, and they left. I started the paperwork, for the whole UC gig, it took me a few hours, then I headed home"
3 AM
BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ
Who's calling me, I'm supposed to call and wake them up in the middle of the night not the other way around
I looked at the caller ID and it said Jay Halstead
"Jay, what the hell do you want it's 3 O clock in the morning"
"Sarge, she's gone"
