With a blink of an eye
Her rainbow fades to grey
The love and joy displayed in colours bright
The shadows raided to take away
And now she's lost her light
Years later a man draws her near
And takes her by the hand
Then he whispers in her ear:
"I was once like you, my child
Colourless, faded, and afraid to shine
But, I must confess, I wish I shined it bright
So, a word to the wise, my dear
Don't allow the shadows to
Steal your colours away from you."
She walked off, vigilly
And noticed all the greys
There were shadows, but no light to be seen
Until she met a faded knight whose
Light he's tried to shine through
She came to him and said some things
The same that man told her
She passed it on with her eyes twinkling:
"I was once like you, my friend
Colourless, faded, and afraid to shine
But, I must confess, I wish I shined it bright
So, a word to the wise, my brother
Don't allow the shadows to
Steal your colours away from you."
He went on and shined it bright
No longer that grey knight
A blue warrior who came to see
That His light came from One
Shine it brightly with the children
The children of God above
She went on and spread colour through
All the faded greys
With that same whisper that she got
In her childhood days...
So, a confession from the colourless
Has arisen to say as an athem sung
Don't hide yourself, you'll be great
Shine all the way through
And I bid you, please my brethren
Face your fears and see what Christ can do
With those forsaken colours I challenge you
To paint this world we're in
