It had been two months since the release of Hero, not to mention it had been two months that Hero was still showing in theaters. The movie was such a hit, RK fans going wild over it, and they were really, really excited about his next movie. Due to her upcoming job, Madhu knew it would be a while until that would happen, but it was clear to her that it didn't matter how long it would take. RK's fans were truly loyal to him and supported him to the max! And it was because of them that Hero was still being shown in theater halls all over the world. Hero had not only been a domestic box-office success, but an international box-office success as well.
To celebrate its financial success, RK was to do an interview with one of the top critics of the industry, Vandini Chopra. Trishna had squealed with delight when she had discovered the news and when she found out that the interview would be airing on a Friday night at 8, she cleared out her schedule and made sure that no one else would be able to have control over the TV remote. Madhu found her sister's antics to be absolutely crazy, but then again, such was the actions of a die-hard fan she had mentally told herself, inwardly chuckling at it.
When Friday night came, both Trishna and Roma were seated in front of the TV, while Padmini was finishing up dinner, and Madhu was going through her schedule to go over which clients she had the following week.
"Joining me tonight is none other than one of the nation's biggest heart throbs..."
"Oh my gosh, it's starting," Trishna squealed, putting up the volume.
Madhu rolled her eyes at Vandini's words, when she suddenly remembered the way she was in RK's arms.
Madhubala Shamsher Malik - what is this? Why do you keep thinking about that? It was just an accident, he should've been watching where he was going! It's a good thing I haven't seen him ever since then or else I'd give him a piece of my mind! He's not the only one who can yell at people, and she twitched her lips.
"...famously known as RK the Superstar, Rishabh Kundra! RK, welcome to the show," Vandini smiled.
"Thank you so much for having me," RK curtly nodded with a small smirk.
Even in such a monumental moment like this, he's smirking, Madhu huffed to herself.
"Oh my gosh Roma, he looks so hot," Trishna gushed.
Madhu glanced at the screen, noting that while Vandini Chopra looked classy in a white button down and cream blazer and pants, RK was much more casual in all black, wearing a t-shirt and jeans, a gold chain hanging around his neck. It somewhat threw Madhu off guard, finding herself to even finding the man on screen to be looking, as her sister had put it, hot.
No Madhu, stop! Do not fall under their trap of delusion!
"...Hero obviously being a very big success, but I'm curious about what else you have lined up," Vandini said. "Sources tell me that you have a comedy movie coming out soon?"
"That's right," RK nodded. "I finished shooting for that film some time ago, so it is in the post-production phase. I'll also be filming for another movie in about a little more than a month from now."
"How exciting! Can we get a hint on either of these movies? Such as when this next film is coming out? Are we getting a teaser or a trailer? Anything about the other film you're going to shoot."
"Well the next film I have coming out is called Wednesday."
"Wednesday? Interesting, you heard it first here folks!"
RK chuckled lightly, which somewhat caught Madhu off guard - it was so genuine.
"As for a teaser or a trailer," RK continued, "I'm afraid my fans will have to wait."
"We shall be waiting eagerly, though I'm not sure how patiently," she chuckled. "What about this other one you're about to film?"
"Uh, well, what I can tell you is that it is a romance film."
"Oh wow! A romance film? You'll have all the ladies swooning and going crazy from jealousy, seeing you romance your co-star. After all who doesn't want a chance to be up close and personal with RK the Superstar?"
Trishna let out a sigh as she rested her chin in her hands, still holding onto the remote. Madhu couldn't help but to look at her sister oddly, when again she remembered herself being in RK's arms.
Stop, stop, stop!!!
RK only smirked in return, which helped Madhu to get over the memory quickly.
How arrogant!
"I must say RK, it's quite impressive how you're doing back-to-back films. First an action film - which obviously has been such huge box-office success all over the world. You just finished up a comedy, you're about to start filming a romance - I mean it's impressive, jumping from one genre to another like that. Do you find it difficult? Or what's the process for you, transitioning from these different genres?"
Finally, a sensible question, Madhu thought to herself.
"I think the most important thing is the passion for it. You need to have love for the craft. Making films and being in films - it's the thing that I love the most."
Madhu was surprised by RK's words, bringing her attention to the screen.
"And because I love doing what I do," he continued, "it creates that excitement as I go from one project to another. Whether I'm doing action, comedy, romance - it doesn't matter. The love that I have for film-making is what gets me into it. So it's never like this weird transition that I experience when I go from genre to genre. I know that I'm doing so-and-so type film, and it just clicks within me," he snapped. "Plus there's always a little time that passes between filming each film, so in some ways it fades out and I'm ready to take on the next film and get into the groove of it."
Madhu couldn't help but to gape at the screen. The man that was on it right now was nothing like the man she had experienced before.
"Hai, he's so passionate," Roma sighed.
He really is, isn't he? ...he loves his work so much.
"Your love for films truly is admiring," Vandini said.
"I don't just have a love for films," RK said, shaking his head. "I also have an obsession."
"An obsession?"
RK nodded. "Yup - ek ishq, ek junoon."
"Wow RK, what a line!"
Both Trishna and Roma swooned and squealed while Madhu could only look at the screen.
Junoon... meaning obsession... what way to be passionate over his craft.
"Well I have to ask RK, given these types of films you've done and are doing - you did an action film, you've just finished a comedy, and you'll soon start shooting for a romance film. Obviously we know that there's action in your life, given the all of your workout videos we see on social media, not to mention behind the scenes of you doing your own stunts. You have a dry sense of humor, not to mention we see that dashing smile here and there, as well as your electrifying laughter, so therefore the essence of comedy is clear in your life. But what about romance? Is there any romance in your life? An ishq or junoon as you had put it?"
Again Madhu remembered how he had held her in his arms.
"No, there's nothing of the sort," RK said, which immediately brought Madhu back to reality.
"Really? I find it hard to believe that THE Rishabh Kundra, aka RK the Superstar, has 'nothing of the sort' going on," Vandini smirked lightly, arching her brow.
RK let out a chuckle then gave a smirk on his own. "The day RK has someone in his life, it will be a headline everywhere. Everyone would know."
Madhu scowled at the screen once more.
Geez, he sounds so freaking arrogant saying that!
Trishna let out a squeal. "Oh my gosh, imagine if I were his lover," and she went off into la la land.
Please! Be his ishq? His junoon?
"Deedu, you're crazy," and she got up and walked away, the interview ending as well.
Honestly, I pity the poor girl that will fall in love with RK. Good luck to her I guess.
