Author's POV~•••
"My question isn't what or how, my question is why? Tell me the reason y/n, why were you disrespectful to Mr. Cha?"
Seokjin glared at her, folding his arms over his chest, and tilting his head to the right. Y/N looked down, unable to meet the scary gaze. It's rare for Seokjin to get mad, very rare.
Namjoon is strict from time to time, but Seokjin isn't. So when you make him mad, it won't be that playful angry rap anymore.
"Reply, y/n, don't make him madder," Namjoon said this time, his voice wasn't stern like y/n expected it to be.
Well, in Namjoon's opinion, when Seokjin is dealing with something himself, he must stay out of it and not interfere with it. Because again, in very rare cases he handles the discipline of his siblings. He is quite a playful fun brother, until you test him, like now.
"Y/N," Namjoon warned when she didn't open her mouth to speak, or looked at them.
While, Seokjin looked at Namjoon, shaking his head, telling him to stay off of this. Namjoon sighed, nodding, he sat on the couch, letting his hyung deal with his sister.
"Do I have to repeat myself, y/n? Tell me the reason." Seokjin asserted seriously, making her gulp the lump forming in her throat.
Her heartbeat was faster, and it was almost audible in the pin-drop silence of the room. Namjoon just looked at both of them, somewhere in his heart, he almost felt bad for y/n but didn't dare to interfere again.
"Y/N..." Seokjin sighed, "you don't want to speak, fine. Hoseok suspended you for two weeks after you come back from New York. Hoseok told us you went to him for getting his signature on the application."
"I don't even know if I'll come back," y/n muttered lowly and both the brothers wanted to smack her for saying something like that. "Okay, oppa." She said, louder.
"You will write an apology letter to Mr. Cha. Give it to him after you come back or do it before if you have time." Seokjin ordered further and y/n nodded, "yes, oppa."
"Are you feeling guilty?" Namjoon asked and it was a genuine question, she could refuse if she didn't feel so. Both of them looked at her for the answer.
"I do, oppa." She said and it was correct. She did feel guilty, he didn't deserve her rudeness. But she just couldn't help it, she had to be quick. Even now if any of her brothers try to force out the confession, she'll do the same thing again and accept the punishment, again.
"Now, if you do feel guilty, tell me the reason, I know this isn't like you, y/n, please tell me what's wrong. Why did you do that? Tell oppa, please." Seokjin asked, his voice softer making her whine internally.
She can deal with sternness but, softness? No. She's weak in front of that voice. She gulped, shaking her head, "I-I don't want to say it, oppa..."
"Why? Is it because it is embarrassing?" Seokjin asked softly and y/n nodded, "it's okay, little star, we all do mistakes, if you tell Oppa the reason, I promise, I'll ask Hobi to decrease your suspension." He concluded, his voice softer than ever, with a smile on his face.
"Why are you forcing, oppa? I told you I don't want to tell you, why don't you understand it?" Y/N snapped and the smile dropped from his face, making her heartbreak into pieces.
"O-Oppa–..." Y/N reached for him but he stepped back. Namjoon scoffed, getting up, he can't just sit and watch it anymore, their eldest brother is a softie and he doesn't deserve to be talked to in that tone by anyone.
"Y/N you've caused enough damage, either you can spill the truth or go to your room, pack your things, and leave, your flight is soon, right?" Namjoon mocked, making y/n look down, biting her lip.
Okay, she knows, she knows it's not going to end up well, but she wants the topic to be dropped right now.
"He was just being an annoying dead-ass bitch so I shut him up that's all."
She heard shocking gasps from both of them and there was a second of silence before a large strong hand came in contact with her left cheek and a loud slap sound echoed in the quiet room. She almost stumbled due to force but held herself still.
Y/N held her cheek, looking down, she didn't need to look who it was, that palm was of Namjoon because she have faced it millions of times and she expected it this time. She kinda expected it to be Seokjin but he has just slapped her three or four times in her whole life.
"Go to your room." Namjoon glared at her for the last time, watching her immediately walk to the stairs. As soon as she stepped on the first stair, the tear left her eyes and fell on the floor.
At least this topic is done and it won't be brought back until Seokjin wants to. The mentioned person looked at his younger dongseng, who was looking down at his feet.
"Come here." That was all Seokjin said and he heard Namjoon gulp audibly. It almost made him laugh, was he the same person a moment ago? All tough, strict, and stern? If he wouldn't have witnessed it, he wouldn't believe it.
Nonetheless, he went to stand in front of his hyung, still looking down. "Why did you do that, hm?" Seokjin asked blankly, folding his arms over his chest, tilling his head, again.
"She deserved it, Mr. Cha is an excellent teacher, he didn't deserve her rudeness and she even refused to explain. Moreover, she cussed at him. And how dare she snap at you like that?! That was a totally stupid thing to do." Namjoon scoffed, still looking anywhere, but at Seokjin.
"So she's forgiven from your side?" Seokjin asked, poking his tongue inside his cheek.
"Not yet, not until she apologizes," Namjoon said. "What about you hyung?"
"Hm, same honestly," Seokjin sighs, "but not until she explains herself, her actions."
Namjoon snorted, "means the slap she took to drop this topic was useless, she has to explain either way."
Seokjin chuckled, nodding his head. "She has to, or she's earning a slap from me too. Wait, she's getting a slap either way."
Namjoon nodded, sighing, "I didn't want the meet to end up like this." He sadly scoffed, making Seokjin wrap his arms around his buff body.
"It's okay, little Koala, I didn't want it either, but we'll deal with it sooner than you think. I'll go talk to her, hm?" Seokjin patted his back, and Namjoon hide his face in his hyung's neck. This comfort was everything.
Seokjin smiled softly when he heard Namjoon nod in his neck as he clutched his shirt tightly. "But not yet, okay? She'll need some time to calm down and think about her actions. I know she didn't mean it, she's growing and it's her first time dealing with these stressful situations, but she needs to know that's not how we deal with situations like this."
Namjoon nodded again and Seokjin had to force him away from himself. "We will cook her favorite to make it up, alright?" Seokjin smiled when Namjoon nodded, again.
"Let's go..."
Just like that, an hour passed and y/n was done packing the things she needed, she looked at the time, it was 11:00 am and she was hungry, she heard a grumbling voice from her stomach and sighed. She didn't have the guts to go downstairs and face her brothers. All the confidence she had, drowned after earning the slap.
'Okay, what's done, is done. All I have to do is just apologize.' She nodded at her thoughts, going to the door and opening it. She went out, gently closing the door behind her.
She walked downstairs and was met with the blank faces of her brothers, who were talking before, at the dining table, not eating yet, maybe waiting for her, but stopped speaking when they saw her. "O-Oppa–"
She started speaking, no one specific, it was for both of them but Seokjin raised his palm. She shut her mouth and stayed quiet until Seokjin motioned to the chair beside him. She quickly went and sat down beside him.
She was about to apologize but Namjoon interrupted her, "No speaking while we're eating." He said, serving the food for himself and passing the spoon to her.
They were indeed waiting for her.
Y/N sighed, nodding her head, as she served herself. The tension was awkward, but it didn't seem to affect both of them, just her. So trying to ignore it too, she took a bite of her food and smiled slightly. She missed Seokjin's food. It tastes best.
Of course, Seokjin noticed it and smiled to himself, while he continued to eat. The awkward tension eased slowly. But the silence didn't last long when y/n's phone rang. She looked at the caller ID, 'Sunbae-nim 🧟♂️' flashing on the screen. Seokjin peeked at the screen and both he and Namjoon looked at y/n.
She gulped, dropping the spoon. She cried internally, picking her phone up, and glancing at her brothers with a 'sorry' look on her face but they ignored her, making her sigh. She got up, picking up the call.
"Yes, sir?"
"Are you at your home right now?" Jimin's plain voice rang from the other side and y/n nodded.
"Yes, I am. Why?"
"Just wanted to let you know that the flight tickets are booked, the flight departs at 2:00, be at our place by 12:30, okay?" Jimin stated, and the 'our place' made her melt inside.
"Fine, I'll be there by then," Y/N said politely, earning a hum from Jimin.
"Y/N, when I went to Hobi hyung asking for leave, he looked mad, when I asked he said, 'Why don't you ask y/n?' with a sassy tone. What did you do?" Jimin asked, making y/n almost whine.
"I snapped at Mr. Cha. And... Uh–blamed him for getting fewer marks and more." Y/N said, embarrassed.
"Damn, y/n you must be in deep shit with Namjoon hyung, Seokjin hyung, and Hoseok hyung, too." Jimin gasped and y/n sighed.
"You aren't helping, sunbae. I know," She huffed and heard Jimin chuckle from the other side.
"Deal with it, y/n, you have less than two hours." Jimin said and y/n hummed, "I will."
"Great, I just called you to inform you about flight only." Y/N nodded with a hum and Jimin hung up.
She looked at the time and bit her lips, "it's already 11:15...why is time running so fast today?"
She said while both Namjoon and Seokjin looked at her, just with pure fondness and adoration. "She's growing up fast," Seokjin muttered and Namjoon nodded.
"Yes, hyung." Namjoon sighed, "It feels like she was a kid just a few days ago."
Seokjin was about to say something but stopped because y/n came back. She sat down on the chair looking at her brothers with a sad face, Jimin's words echoed in her mind, 'less than two hours.'
She sighed, muttering "sorry" and started eating, knowing she won't get any reply.
When she finished eating, Namjoon and Seokjin were already done eating. She stood up, keeping her plates in the sink. She stared at the plates and mindlessly, washed them. Thinking about what effective words should she use to make them forgive her immediately.
After thinking a lot, for the whole two minutes, she made a plan.
Step 1. Go to them and apologize.
Step 2. If they don't forgive, beg for it.
Step 3. If she still didn't get forgiveness... explain why she snapped.
Step 4. Emotional blackmailing.
Step 5. Use your acting skills and show how their anger is hurting you.
Step 6. Guilt trip them, even if it was your fault.
Step 7. Get forgiveness, even if you have to get on your knees, hug their legs, and beg until you get it.
With her master plan, she walked out of the kitchen, with confidence. But when she saw her brothers, she felt confidence fly out of the window.
But, step 1.
"Oppa," y/n called out, and both of them looked at her. "I'm sorry, for... everything I did? That was stupid. I'm sorry."
Both of them looked at her, nodding their head, and they got back to whatever they were doing. Y/N sighed, okay, no problem. Step 2.
"Oppa, please forgive me, please! I won't repeat it, ever again, I promise! Just forgive me this time! Please, please!" Y/N whined and Namjoon scoffed,
"Your apology ain't at all sincere," Namjoon said and y/n looked at him with puppy eyes.
"My apology is sincere, it's very sincere, I'm so sorry, I am already done writing the apology letter, but I don't have time to give it to Mr. Cha right now, I have to leave in less than two hours, please forgive me, please!"
With that sincere apology, she got forgiveness from Namjoon, just like he told Seokjin, after she apologise about it, he will forgive her.
"I forgive you," Namjoon said and y/n jumped on him, hugging him tightly, she was desperate for a hug ever since she's been here. But none of them hugged her, getting a warm hug helps. Especially in the situation like she is in.
Namjoon smiled softly, hugging her back, and rubbing her back in a comforting manner. He took a glance at Seokjin who was just looking at them with a blank face, but his eyes were just shining with fondness.
"Oppa," y/n mumbled and Namjoon hummed, "I'm sorry, I didn't...mean the disrespect I did." Namjoon just chuckled, nodding his head.
"I know, I forgive you, maybe you should apologize to hyung, he doesn't seem to forgive you." Namjoon peeked at her forehead before letting her go.
"I'm sorry for snapping at you," y/n sighed, looking at him with wide soft eyes, which were covered in fake tears.
But when Seokjin's blank poker face didn't disappear, she whined, "Oppa, I'm sorry, I did write the apology, I apologized too, what do you want me to do?"
"Explain your actions. Or argue with the wall." She got in return before Seokjin got back to whatever he was doing.
Okay, now. Step 3.
"As I've already accepted, it's embarrassing and stupid." Y/N started, "but I'll explain either way, because..." She looked at the time, her eyes getting sad. It was 11:45 already. "I need to leave at 12:15."
"Well, explain then." Seokjin taunted, making her pout, but sighing, she spoke further.
"I...went to college for asking Hoseok oppa leave, he signed it and I was coming here. But Mr. Cha saw me and thought I was bunking, he started to lecture me and remembering all the times I was absent, my fewer marks, and everything. I know it was not a good reason to snap at him, I know. But...if I wouldn't stop him, he wouldn't have let me leave until my flight would take off...so I had to. I'm sorry, I'm very sorry, it won't happen ever again. I am... just under pressure, I wasn't thinking."
She explained, embarrassed, still looking down. She heard a hum from Seokjin as he looked up. "And why did you think it was a good idea to snap at me?"
"I–... I just want you to drop the topic, but it didn't work, I guess?" She said and heard Namjoon snort at 'I guess'.
"Oppa, I'm sorry... please forgive me, I'll have to leave in less than half an hour," Y/N said, moving to step 4, blackmailing.
"Get up, come here," Seokjin ordered after a moment standing up and y/n whined, knowing what was about to come.
But either way, she stood up, standing in front of him, and said, "don't hit too hard, my cheek already hurts."
"So you knew the consequences, yet you decided to go with it?" Namjoon spoke from behind and y/n's cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
"Every human being knows the consequences for their actions, yet they do it." She shrugged, keeping herself mentally prepared.
Seokjin, just calmly, raised his hand and it made quick contact with her left cheek again, and the slapping sound echoed again. Her cheek got deep red and now the fingertips were visible too. It wasn't hard like y/n expected, it was almost ... gentle? Almost.
"Am I forgiven, now?" Those were the first words that left her mouth and Seokjin chuckled, opening his arms, "yes, you're forgiven."
She dashed into his arms, getting comfort, ignoring she got slapped twice today.
"I don't even remember the last time you slapped me." She mumbled in his chest and Seokjin smiled, "so you do remember when Namjoon last time slapped you?"
"Five months ago, when I cheated on a test," Y/N replied and both of her brothers smiled at her.
"Y/N, whatever was the reason, you always have alternatives of everything. Instead of being rude, you could have talked it out, and I was ready to listen to you. You could have gotten away if you would have explained, now see, you had to explain either way just the difference is, you wouldn't have slap marks on your cheek. We both also deal with stress, but I bet you haven't seen any of us snapping at you like that."
Seokjin comforted softly, hearing a soft hum from y/n, "Yes, oppa, I understand. But again, I wasn't thinking. I'm sorry," she apologised again.
"It's fine, y/n, it's done, but don't repeat it. I hope you aren't mad about anything, are you?" Namjoon spoke from behind her and she turned to him, shaking her head.
"No oppa, I guess, I just needed to cry out my feelings and emotions, it helped to calm me down. I feel like I had too much inside me, It's wierd, but crying did helped."
She explained and Namjoon just got up, hugging her in comforting manner. "You're doing good job, little star, I'm–we're proud of you." He whispered and y/n smiled in his embrace.
"Thank you, oppa." She muttered, and she heard chuckles and she didn't had to look up to know her brothers are grinning at each other, fondly.
They spend rest of the time cuddling until the clock hit 12:15...
Everything will be okay...
Right?
Of course.
