Demi out of her wheelchair sitting at the top of the staircase. Everyone else was on the dance floor.
Isaac comes walking along
Isaac: Hey Dem! Why're you sitting by yourself? Where are the others?
Demi: Dancing, s-sitting, m-making out, I dunno.
Isaac: Where's Joe?
Demi: N-not here yet.
Isaac: Is that why you're up here by yourself?
Demi: That and I still c-can't go down stairs that well.
Isaac: Come on Dem, let's get you dancing. I'll help you down the stairs.
Demi: Fine.
Isaac helps Demi down the stairs. Everyone looks at them as she walks down.
See Jesse say "aww" and Lacey roll her eyes. Kira whispers to Lacey.
Finally gets to the bottom of the stairs
Adele runs up to them
Isaac runs back up the stairs to get Demi's wheelchair
Adele: There you are Dem. We didn't know where you'd gone.
Ethan: We were worried.
Demi: I was s-sitting up there.
Isaac brings Demi's wheelchair back to her
Isaac: Here you go Dem.
Demi: Thanks Isaac.
Isaac: No prob.
Isaac notices Ethan's prosthetic
Isaac: Hey dude you got your prosthetic!
Ethan: Yeah. Finally. (Laughs) And hey your shoulders back to normal.
Isaac: Yeah! I can play my instruments again. Speaking of, I need to go do that now, I'm being summoned. Bye guys.
Demi: Bye.
All laugh
Isaac runs back to the stage and sits at the drum kit
Other students in the band go over also and start performing
Ethan starts walking back over to the table
Demi catches up to him
Demi: Hey Ethan, got any word on Joe?
Ethan: Nothing yet, sorry Dem.
Demi: I can't b-believe him. It's prom night, and he's f-fucking left me again.
Ethan: He hasn't I'm sure. Just give him a chance, he'll be here I bet. I can see where he is on my phone if you want?
Demi peers over at Ethan's phone
Ethan: (looking at the app)It looks like he's stuck in traffic.
Demi: Or he's j-just left his phone there?
Ethan: Who knows? He's unpredictable.
Ethans phone starts to ring
Ethan: Hang on, I gotta take this.
Ethan moves away from Demi and Adele
Ethan: Dude, where the fuck are you? Demi's worried sick.
Joe: I know, I know. Our car broke down, and now there's no taxis avaliable to get there.
Ethan: Fuck. What should I tell Dem?
Joe: Tell her I'm on my way but I'm gonna be late.
Ethan: Yeah ok ok. But just try to make sure you get here in time for the prom King and Queen to be announced. Otherwise she'll really be upset.
Joe: Yeah, I'll try my best to. Just look after her for me in the meantime yeah?
Ethan: Yeah, will do.
Joe: Thanks dude. Ok, I gotta go, my phones gonna die.
Ethan: Ok, I'll see you soon.
Joe: Bye.
Ethan hangs up and goes back over to talk to Demi and Adele
Adele: Who was that?
Demi: Please t-tell me it was Joe.
Ethan: Yeah, he said on his way and is trying his best to get here.
Demi: Oh thank g-god.
An hour passes - still no sign of Joe
Kayla: How good is this guys!
Ethan: You having fun Kayla?
Kayla: Hell yeah! Best night of my life!
Lillian: Come dance with us!
Adele: Shall we go suggest a song for them to play Dem?
Demi: Sure.
Both go up and suggest a song to Isaac's band
Kayla: Come on Ethan let's dance!!
Kayla drags Ethan onto the dance floor
Kayla and Lillian are dancing around him - he eventually starts dancing too
Demi: (laughs) Look at Ethan!
Adele: Oh my god!
Both laugh - Ethan sees them and smiles
Isaac: Welcoming to the stage... Adele and Demi!
Everyone claps
Both go up and start singing "I know the end" by Phoebe Bridgers with Isaac's band accompanying them

While Demi is singing, Joe enters the hall - she doesn't see him
Demi and Adele finish singing and everyone claps
Ethan: Well done love!
Ethan kisses Adele
Beau and Elijah come over
Elijah: You guys were amazing!
Beau: Honestly, we got goosebumps!
Adele: Thanks.
Demi: Thanks guys.
Kayla and Lillian come over
Lillian: You both were incredible!
Kayla: You made Lil cry.
Lillian: I didn't cry?
Kayla: Yes you did.
Lillian: I teared up. You were sobbing.
Kayla: That wasn't me?
Lillian: Who was it then?
Beau: I think it was Jesse crying.
Kayla: Oh my god. (Laughs)
Adele: Really? That's so weird, right Dem? Dem?
Demi: I'll be right b-back.
Adele: Ok?
Adele carries on talking to the group
Demi wheels herself over to the other side of the room
"Almost Idyllic" by sleeping at last starts playing
Joe smiles widely
Joe: Hi Dem.
Demi gets up from her wheelchair and hugs him tightly
Joe looking slightly shocked but embraces her hug
Joe: You look beautiful.
Demi: (almost crying) I've m-missed you so much.
Joe: I've missed you too Dem.
Demi's arms are round his neck, Joe pulled her close and is holding her waist
Joe pulls Demi in closer and they kiss
Demi: N-never leave me again.
Joe: I promise I won't Dem.
They kiss once more
