My classes had ended for the day and I was exhausted and hungry. My feet hurt from walking around the whole place and my back hurt too. Each day that went by, I had to go through the small stress this pregnancy brought me.
I rubbed my bump as I left the building with my phone raised to my face. I smiled at the text from Lucas, saying he was parked outside. I raised my head and saw him inside his car with the door opened.
I placed my phone into my purse and walked down to the last step and as soon as I did, someone came into my line of vision. I frowned when I saw it was Matt.
"Hi," he said and I rolled my eyes.
"What do you want?" I asked and glanced at Lucas who was now focused on his phone.
My phone vibrated in my purse and I knew it was a text from Lucas. Matt smiled and scratched the back of his head.
"I want to apologize for offending you in any way today. I'm a nice guy, sorry if I am stressing you or anything. You seem like a nice girl too and I want to be your friend," he said and I exhaled.
"Okay," I replied and started to walk by him.
"So, are we friends?" He asked, walking behind me.
"Matt, I'm tired and want to go home. Someone's waiting for me, please." I motioned at the car across the road and looked over my shoulder. He stared at the car before nodding his head.
"Alright. See you tomorrow in school," Matt replied and stared at the car one last time before turning away.
I exhaled in relief and made my way to Lucas who was now standing outside the car. He smiled and opened his arms for a hug. I came into his arms and wrapped mine around his waist. He hugged me tight and rocked us side to side.
"I miss you," he said.
I smiled. "I miss you too. I'm hungry and tired. Can we go home? Also, I want chicken tonight."
He chuckled. "I'll buy it for you."
We stopped hugging each other and got into the car. I reclined the seat a bit and folded my legs on the leather seat then looked at him as he started the engine of the car. He always looked so hot when driving.
"Who was that guy?" Lucas asked as he started driving away.
"Who?" I asked, genuinely confused.
"The one you were talking to a minute ago," he said and I shrugged.
"He's someone in my faculty. Met him today and he's so annoying. He wants to be my friend though," I replied and he chuckled.
"I hope he only wants to be your friend and not take what's mine because if he wants to, he will not survive it," Lucas said and I couldn't help but laugh.
"He's not my type," I said and he smirked.
"Good girl," Lucas said and glanced at me with a sly look. "Always remember that you are mine and no one else's."

Later that evening, I was bored. Lucas wasn't home because he went for a meeting at his racing place. When I got too bored, I dressed up in a comfortable sweatshirt and pants and then left the house with my car key. I locked the front door and walked over to the slick black car parked under the canopy of the house. I bit my lip as I went around the car to the driver's side. I ran my band over the top of the car before pushing the key, unlocking the car which flashed its lights.
"I hope I don't run over someone today," I said and pulled the door open. I smiled at the brown interior of the car. Everything was still new and sleek as I had barely used the car.
I got in and ran my hands around the steering wheel. I fastened my seatbelt and pushed the start button. I could barely hear the sound of the engine when the car started.
"Here goes nothing," I said.

I hummed as I walked through the familiar hallway of our old apartment. The feeling was weird as I was no longer used to seeing the hallway and it looked a bit small in my eyes, maybe because I was used to seeing the wide hallway of the luxury home Lucas bought.
I stopped in front of the apartment door and knocked on it. I didn't get a response from anyone and knocked again, but still nothing. I touched the door handle and twisted it then pushed it open. I walked into the house, only to freeze with a shocked squeal at the sight of Axel on top of Barry, making out with their chests bare.
They separated and turned in my direction with surprise on their faces. I covered my eyes at their bare chests and pointed at them blindly.
"You all will pay for almost scaring me!" I yelled and I heard laughter coming from them.
"Come on, don't act like you and my brother didn't almost scar me too many times before," Axel said and I showed him my middle finger.
"Alright, I'm going now. I have work to do at the company," I heard Barry say, and the sound of lips touching filled my ears.
Laughter followed and I heard footsteps. I counted to ten before I peeked through my fingers. I dropped my hand when I saw Axel was now wearing a rumpled shirt and Barry was nowhere in sight. I glared at him and looked around the apartment.
It was different and had more colors with paintings of tech-like drawings on the wall. There was even a game-like computer set-up in the corner which belonged to Barry.
Barry came downstairs, wearing a sweatshirt with the logo of their company on it. They hugged me when they got close and ruffled my hair before leaving the apartment.
"So, what brings you to my humble abode, sister-in-law," Axel said.
"I'm not your sister-in-law," I said, making my way to him.
"My instincts tell me my brother is planning on doing so," Axel said and patted the couch.
"I'm not sitting there," I said. "Who knows what bodily fluid is on that couch."
Axel laughed. "Coming from you? Let me not even talk about the things I saw when I was living with y'all."
I heard a knock and the door opened, Jared poked his head into the house and smiled.
"Jackie!" He said happily and rushed into the house. He hugged me from behind, making me giggle.
"Hey, Jared," I said as he unwrapped his arms. "I miss you."
"Miss you too," he said and sat down on the couch by my side. "Hey, bro."
"What's up?" Axel questioned.
"I'm alright. Hey, Jackie. What are you doing here today? Did you remember your other husbands and came to visit us?" Jared asked.
I threw my head back with a groan. I had forgotten how they acted around me, which I missed. I shook my head and stared at him with an eyebrow raised.
"Husband. Really?"
"So, tell us about your vacation in Spain," Axel said, changing the subject.
I beamed and finally sat down beside him. I was here to not get bored, so I was glad my two favorite clowns were here to keep me company.
"Lots of things happened and Lucas made sure to keep me surprised throughout. The day after we arrived, he took me to this show where I laughed so hard, I felt good," I said and started narrating everything to them, except for the x-rated details of our time together.
As I was talking and facing Axel, out of the corner of my eyes, I noticed what Jared was doing. Subtly, I looked at him. He was staring at Axel with a deep look on his face. I furrowed my eyebrows at the expression on his face because I was confused about why he was staring at Axel like that.
My thoughts were shifted when the door opened and Barry rushed into the house.
"I left my car key," Barry said, looking around.
"It's here, love," Axel said and jiggled the key.
Barry smiled and made their way to us. He reached out to take the key from Axel who shifted his hand with a sly expression. Barry sighed and glared down at him.
"Who are you glaring at like that?" Axel asked in a dominating tone and I felt like I was forced into their bedroom tales.
Barry chuckled. "Just give me the key."
"Kiss me first," Axel said.
His sentence reminded me of when Lucas had my phone and wanted a kiss before he gave it to me. It was weird how alike they both were. They were half-brothers anyway.
I blinked when Barry kissed his lips then I smirked when I saw them taking the key from Axel's hand. They pulled away and I saw Jared's expression. His jaw was gritted and his eyes hard as he stared at Barry.
The look was so obvious to me now. Jared was jealous and it shocked me to my bones as I stared with wide eyes.
"Oh, my God," I mouthed to myself.
