Benjamin's POV:
"Get back here!" Devon shouts at me playfully, running to try and grab me. I smirked, holding onto the bag of sweets I had in my arms, I was trying to protect from Devon ate them all. "Nuh-uh! Your going to eat them all!" I said sticking my tongue out playfully at Devon. Causing him to lowly chuckle.
I run between the couch that was in the living room in the pack house. It was early in the morning so I doubt anyone is awake or is just now waking up. It has been a few weeks since I got here, the elder giving us advice knowing even after their word that you can't separate mates. Almost impossible without their being a fight happening. Everyone seems to slowly accept me. Devon announced me as his Lunos. Even though I'm also an Alpha. But I slowly accepted it, things have been great and peaceful around here. I got to see the pups and some of the wolves from my old pack I got to help. Them being in the pack right next to us. We weren't enemies which was a good thing, I get pulled out of my thoughts by being pinned down by Devon on the couch.
"Now can I have my sweets?" He asks cheekily, smirking down at me. I roll my eyes, smiling. "Nope" I said popping the 'p'. He sighed playfully and leaned down, nipping at my neck. I gasp as I start to get aroused, squirming underneath him uncomfortably. I'm getting turned on.. just from him nipping at my neck. I feel my cheeks get heated from that thought, Devon leaning up and smirking down at me.
He then leans down again and whispers in my ear. "Now now little pup. Calm down you'll get what you want tonight" he states huskily, making my body shake in bliss. He leans up and snatches the bag of sweets out of my grasp and stands up while I lean up to sit on the couch correctly. I huff in annoyance as he looks at me with an amused smile on his face.
I get up and peck his cheek and leave the room leaving him in shook. I chuckle quietly to myself. I notice four pups were up and peeking their heads in another direction so I walked slowly up be hide them. "What are you guys doing? Isn't it a bit to early for you four to be awake?"
All four of them jumped at the sound of my voice and quickly turns to look at me with wide eyes. I bite back a laugh, they look like they just got caught doing a crime. I raise my brow and look at them, waiting for an answer. "L-Lunos we weren't d-doing anything!" One of them spits out trying to act brave for the other pups. I could stare in awe of how adorable this was. "Mhm" I hum at the answer I was given. "So why are you four doing here?" They stare at each other and look back at me. One sighed, "Today is our big sister's birthday."
"We wanted to bake her the biggest cake ever!" I smile softly, "Come on". They look at me questioning to actually do so or not, but once I took the first step into the kitchen they hurried along and followed close be hide me.
"Okay, what type of cake does she like?" I turn to look at them smiling. They all seemed to understand what was going on and all started to smile happily. "She likes red velvet!" One of them state happily. "Well let's get to it!"
I put the four pups to work, which I learned their names. The girl's name was Lily, the shortest boy was Tony. The second shortest boy was named Liam, and the tallest out of the bunch was named TJ. I guess over the time we were working on the cake I hadn't noticed some people gathered around to watch, with soft smiles on their faces. The head chef showed up at some point and helped us so we didn't make it wrong. Thank god he did because Lily almost spilled flour everywhere. The cake was done now and we just needed to decorate it after it cooled down a bit.
"Damn we make a good team" I got four little heads shoot at me. "You can't say that word!" I couldn't help but burst out laughing at their mad expressions. I sit down on the ground while they scold me on not saying bad words, while I'm trying to hold back my laughter.
*Ding*
The alarm went off, I left so that they could decorate the cake with the head chef. Doing it how they wanted it to go. I walked down the hall, going to the front doors of the pack house. A quick run would be fun. My wolf agreed, and I shifted into my true form once I was outside. And spring off.
My fur was sucking in the sunlight making me warm up, but cool down as I ran and felt the wind hit against me. It felt amazing, and the smells around me. It was just breathtaking. I guess I lost track of time seeing that the sun was setting.
Snap. I quickly stop my run, snapping my head around me. Seeing what made that noise. Weird.. I cant smell anything..
I start to go the opposite way of the pack house, to see if anyone was following me and if there was then I'd lead them away from the pack house. I found a grassy field and quickly but slowly walked towards it. I could tell someone was following me now. I felt a pair of eyes on me. I take a deep breathe and lay down, soaking in the sun. The worries of the feeling someone was there went away quickly. I turn over to my side and close my eyes to only open them once again to a sharp pain in my neck.
Then everything went pitch black.
Devon's POV:
I walk into the kitchen to see four sleeping pups, a cake on the island in the kitchen, and the head chef looking down at them lovingly. I raise my brow at him when he noticed me. "Hello Alpha, these little four rascals got your mate, Lunos. To help make this cake for their big sister." My heart started to beat fast at the words 'your mate' came out of his mouth, and went to go find him. God, I missed him so much.
I asked around to see where he went. A few people saw him go for a run, and I decided to wait for his return and went to my office to complete some paperwork as I wait.
I waited.
10 minutes.
1 hour.
2 hours.
4 hours.
When it went to 5 hours, I got up to go see if my mate got home and went straight to bed because he was tried. But when I walked into our room it was empty. I started to panic and run, literally run. Around the pack house looking for him.
"Alpha! What's wrong?!" One of my pack members asked me finally after a few minutes of me pacing around in the living room of the pack house. "I can't find Benji anywhere, did you see where he went off to run?"
It was night time by the time I got a whiff of his scent, faintly but there in the forest surrounding our territory. It lead me to a grassy field, as I got closer I smelled a scent I wish I never smelled. Blood.
I quicken my steps into full on sprinting until I got to grass that was dyed with my mates blood. I quickly start to look around the area to see if my mate was anywhere to only find a piece of paper left. I shift in my human form and pick it up to only read.
Moonrise pack,
Say your last goodbyes to your Lunos.

My blood rose at this small little note. What the hell does this mean?! I shift and pick up the note in my mouth and run back to the pack house. When I got there I shifted and put on a pair of shorts I was offered from a pack mate. I start to go look for my Father.
Once I found him I gave him the note. "Looks like a threat. That whoever has Benjamin will either kill him or something worse." I clench my jaw painfully. "We need the pack doctor to examine the note for any clues-" he put his hand on my shoulder and tightens his grip with a soft smile. "Don't worry my son, we will get your mate"
"We better."
Benjamin's POV:
Why is it so dark? I try to move but painfully wince at whatever was keeping me still. It's like I can't move my own body without it hurting. Like I'm sore everywhere. What even happened? I remember I was in the forest for a run. Then I remembered. I was followed! Whoever that was following me must've knocked me out.
I slowly open my eyes and whine as I try to sit up but fail miserably. I hear a faint low chuckle, "Mate, I don't think that'll do anything" a low voice said, getting louder as it came more near. My eyes started to work correctly and I saw a man leaning down in front of me, having a devil smirk on him. I finally realize what he called me and growled, but shortly whines at the pain my throat felt. "You should probably stop making noises and moving. We put wolf bane in you my mate." I growl lowly at the new name I hated already. Hearing him call me mate, makes me discussed.
"Now now, calm down. You'll accept it sooner or later. Your father sold me to you shortly after making a deal with that other pack. So from now on. Your mine." I whined and moved away from him as much as I could feeling pain spread across my body.
"I'm surprised your little Alpha hasn't marked you yet. Makes things even easier."
