It was later that night when Bondita entered their bedroom to find it dark and the lights off. She walked to the switchboard and switched on the lights.
But before she could even look around the room, Anirudh pulled her into his embrace, wrapping his arms around her waist with a chuckle.
"Pati Babuu!!" She whined and blushed at the same time.
"Yes, Bondita?" He smiled, tucking a hair strand behind her ear.
"Don't you dare stop me today! Remember, I promised to trouble you this morning?" He winked at her.
She just looked away, trying hard not to smile at his talks. Her hands were rested onto his chest and his around her waist. There bodies were touching each other ever so gently and he was just gazing at her beautiful face lovingly.
Her eyes looking away shyly and her coy smile which made his heart flutter each time... How badly he wanted to kiss those lips right now! And who would even stop him now?
He smiled at her lovingly as her gaze fixed on his and he gently bent to kiss her cheek. Bondita smiled feeling loved and he kissed her other cheek as well.
"I love you." He murmured and she just hugged him tightly, her head resting below his shoulder.
His eyes were closed in ecstasy and hers in gratitude, gratitude of being loved so deeply by the one she loved the most!
She opened her eyes to look at her Pati Babu's face, when her eyes suddenly fell upon a red mark on his collar. It was clearly a lipstick mark, but she wasn't wearing any today.
"Pati Babu?" She lifted her head up, pulling away gently from the hug as she raised an eyebrow at him, touching his collar.
"Who gave you this?" She asked, trying to sound stern.
She knew it must be hers or maybe just something from her only. She trusted him with all her heart and he would undoubtedly respect her trust more than his own life!
"B... Bondita it's...." He hesitated, wrapping his fingers around her hand gently.
Just as she trued hard not to smile at him, they heard a voice from behind them.
"It's from Meeee!!" They heard Rudhi squeal happily. She still had marks of lipstick on her lips and looked really funny.
"Puchkii?" Bondita gasped and the little girl jumped happily clapping her hands.
"Yeah... When I returned from work today, she came running to my arms. That was when I noticed that your naughty little princess had stolen your lipstick and applied it all along her tiny lips! That's when she had already tainted my shirt." Anirudh chuckled, picking up Rudhi into his arms.
"And you didn't tell me?!" Bondita crossed her arms against her chest, raising her eyebrows at him now.
"I...uh...thought..." He stammered in front of his wife's strict gaze.
"You thought? What did you think Pati Babu?" She narrowed her eyes at him.
"Rudhi! You're not applying my lipsticks without my permission ever again!" She turned to their daughter.
"But Maa you apply it too, so why can't I?" Rudhi pouted her lips with a frown.
Anirudh found it hard not to smile as he felt so proud seeing his daughter argue just like his wife did!
"Puchki!" Bondita scolded her, still not raising her voice a lot.
"Children have a very gentle skin and makeup can spoil it. I won't stop you once you grow up and are mature anough to know the actual need of makeup for yourself." Bondita told her gently.
"What do you mean Maa?" Rudhi pouted yet again.
"I mean to say, right now you're applying makeup just because you think you'll look like your Maa. But that's not needed my child. You don't need to copy anyone. Do you understand?" Bondita touched her cheek gently.
"And I should not see you applying makeup again okay?" She said a bit sternly.
"Okay Maa!' Rudhi smiled and Anirudh just kissed her cheek lovingly.

In Batuk and Mallika's room, things were quite different yet again. They weren't sad, neither upset. They were worried instead. But worried for what?
"Mallika this is a very weird idea!" Batuk almost giggled as she frowned and gave him an angry look.
"What do you mean? I've thought really deep this time! This way it won't even harm anyone else and we'll not even be lying to anyone!" Mallika told him, almost like demanding to fulfill her wish.
"But why do we need to do this? You were the one who used to rant about having your own baby and not adopt one. How did this sudden change in your thoughts arise?" Batuk asked getting a bit serious and not giggling off her talks now.
"Ohho! You're so stupid! Such a dumb husband have I got!" She rolled her eyes.
"A baby is a baby. And a mother is a mother!" She said confusing Batuk even more than before.
Batuk frowned even more and gave her an 'are you stupid?' look.
"You're not making sense Sweetheart." He said, biting onto his lower lip with confusion.
"See! A woman doesn't only become a mother when she gives birth to a baby, she can also be a mother by loving a baby with all the motherly love she has in her heart!" Mallika told with a smile.
"If I can't have a child of my own and be Devaki, I'll be happy being Yashoda too!" She added, making Batuk's heart just flutter and he looked up at her with amazement.
"Is this my Mallika? IS THIS MY STUPID MALLIKA?" Batuk almost screamed in shock, wrapping his arms around her tightly as she smiled.
"I... I don't know what to say.... I feel proud, just proud!" He smiled.
"So now listen to me!" Mallika pulled back and looked at him.
"We'll go to Italy for sometime... Like a few years and there we'll adopt a baby, who we'll tell everyone is ours!" She told him.
"Why do we need to lie?" Batuk frowned.
"We won't lie to anyone, it's gonna be our baby right? But it's just, Kaka Sasurji, Sasurji, Saasuma and even this whole society won't give the same respect and love to the baby if they get to know it's adopted.... I don't want my baby to suffer..." She said with tears entering her eyes.
"Don't cry!" Batuk gasped and wiped her tears.
"You're right, but still I want to talk to Anirudh Dada about it once. We'll do this for sure if he agrees." He smiled and hugged her tightly.
They had finally found a solution to all of this, or as they thought. But deep down there was another pain emerging in Batuk's heart now. The pain of staying away from his family. He'd always been really close to his family and thus it would be tough to stay away from them for such a long time!
But those things were for later. Right now the most important question was, will anirudh allow them to do so?

After patting Rudhi to sleep, Bondita and Anirudh went away to sit near the window in their room.
It was quite windy and the night was peaceful and pretty, perfect to sit under the sky with and gaze at the stars.
Anirudh had wrapped his arm around Bondita from behind as they sat on the couch they had quietly dragged near the window.
Bondita rested her head on his shoulder and sat their in solace.
He was afterall her happy place and so was she for him!
Anirudh tucked a hair strand behind her ear, making her look at him with a start. She gazed at his beautiful eyes as his long eyelashes fluttered in the cold breeze.
Anirudh moved his hand to her cheek and cradling it in his fingers lovingly, he stroked her soft skin gently. Bondita raised her hand to touch his face too, but before that, she moved her hand to his eyes and gently removed his glasses.
"These disturb my gaze a lot..." She whispered keeping the glasses away.
"Shall I stop wearing them?" Anirudh asked with smirk because he knew very well how much she loved his glasses on him.
"They seduce me too though." Bondita spoke in a heavy seductive whisper.
"Oh yeah? So Madame gets seduced just by looking at mere glasses?" Anirudh teased, moving his other hand which was on her shoulder, down to her bare waist beneath the saree.
As his cold fingers grabbed her waist, she shifted even closer to him, if that ever possible. She was nearly onto his lap, but not completely yet.
"Not just glasses, but my Pati Babu in glasses seduces me." She teased back as a naughty smile played on her lips and in her eyes.
Anirudh just took a deep breath, smiling at her as he shook his head at her talks.
"So if I was able to seduce you enough, now may I get a kiss as my reward Madame?" He asked shifting his gaze to her quivering pink lips.
"Denial's tough!" Bondita sighed wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled his face closer to hers, crashing her lips onto his for a kiss.
Anirudh closed his eyes feeling her soft lips onto his.
How couldn't he ever get tired of them?
He pressed his own body against hers, gently Pushing her onto the couch so that her head rested onto the headrest.
But before her head could hit the slightly harder headrest, Anirudh moved his left hand beneath her head, protecting it carefully.
Bondita's heart fluttered ever so lovingly at this and she could feel her heart melting for her Pati Babu all over again!
She pulled him even closer resulting him to fall and lie down above her petite body.
"Bondita...!" He murmured, pulling off from the kiss.
"I don't wanna crush you beneath me!" He smiled, trying to sit up but the small couch wasn't helping.
"You won't and even if you do, I'd love that, Mr. Anirudh Roy Chowdhary!" She smiled back at him, grazing his cheek with her fingers.
"But you know what you'll love more?" He teased, holding her waist tightly and switching their places in a quick movement.
"I'd love this more too though!" He winked at her as she was now on top of him and his head rested onto the head rest.
Bondita smiled at him with a small pout and trailed her hand beneath his head, not even needing to give him an explanation now.
She rested her head onto hi shoulder, her fingers playing with the buttons of his shirt while his hands continued to play around her body, touching her not so innocently.
But was innocence required after eighth long years of marriage and togetherness Were any words still required to what the other felt and wanted?
Anirudh moved his hand to her shoulder, his fingers playing with her blouse sleeve as he gently slid it down her shoulder. He'd already unhooked the piece of cloth with his skillful fingers and placed gentle kisses all over her shoulder.
Bondita could just feel his hot breath on her skin as her breath got heavier.
"Pati Babu." She just moaned.
"Yes Bondita?" He whispered into her ear making her feel butterflies i n her stomach yet again.
That night, they made love to each other, just on the couch in their room. They were really careful not to wake up Rudhi though. It was a beautifully passionate night that passed just in each other's arms.
