A couple of months had passed already. The doctor from London had written to Somnath about a few methods he could decipher to cure Batuk's problem, but it seemed a bit too much for the meagre surety that was being attained.
"The chances are really less. It's not even certain whether Batuk would be cured or not. It's totally upto both of you, now!" Somnath told Mallika and Batuk who sat accross his table in his cabin at the hospital.
"Som Dada I will..." Batuk started but was interrupted by his wife.
"No Som Dada! We'll think about it, I don't want Batuk to take any risk. He'll do anything for me, but I need to make sure about his safety too. Please don't listen to him until I agree upon any treatement! He can undergo any treatment only after I approve it!" She said with authority and Somnath just smiled at her with admiration.
She's definitely grown so much mature and responsible than she was earlier! He thought and nodded.
"I promise Mallika! Before telling ny brother about anything, I'll tell my sister!" He grinned and she smiled back.
"So no one really cares about me?" Batuk huffed, rolling his eyes at them.
"Yeah we don't!" Somnath rolled his eyes and Mallika giggled.
But everyone knew how much they cared for him.

After Mallika and Batuk left, they'd went to have ice cream. They were sad, but not hopeless afterall. Moreover they'd made it clear that if they needed someone the most, that was just each other.
As they left, the telephone kept on Somnath's table rang and he picked it up quickly.
"Doctor Somnath Roy Chowdhary speaking!" He spoke.
"Kaka it's me!" Rudhi spoke from the other side.
"Kaaju? What happened? Why did you call?" He smiled and leaned back onto his chair.
Rudhi would call him sometimes when she was bored and wanted to use the telephone. She just loved to dial the numbers that were already written on a diary, always kept beside the telephone.
"Are you free? Okay so, Maa and Baba aren't home yet and Vansh and I want to go out to the park. Will you come home and take us?" She asked with a pout. Vansh was standing beside her and looking at his sister expectantly as she talked on the phone.
"Today? I'll have to see Baccha. I'll try to come home soon. But your Chachu must be coming back soon, take him if I get late, okay?" He smiled and Rudhi agreed.
"Tell me did you and Vansh had lunch properly today?" He asked instead. He too just loved talking to the kids on the phone.
"Is Vansh around?"
"Yes Kaka we ate properly. Dida fed us with her hands." Rudhi giggled.
"And Vansh is right here!" She said, handing the phone to her younger brother.
"Hello Baba!" He said excitedly.
"Hello my little Prince! What are you upto?" He giggled.
"I'm going on the terrace to play with Rudhi Didi as she has no school today." He told happily.
"Okay! Don't run alot and listen to your sister okay? And yes, take Koyeli Didi with you too!" He instructed.
Koyeli was still there in the house. She'd been working for the Roy Chowdharys for years now and had seen both these kids growing up.
"Okay Bye now, I've a patient arriving." Somnath told as he heard the door to his cabin open with a start.
After he kept down the receiver and looked up, he saw Vibhavari stabding there with a file in her hand.
She had a pen in her free hand which she had pressed between her lips as she tried to understand a report.
He just gazed at his beautiful wife as she walked towards him in her white coat. Her hair were tied up in a loose bun and a few strand fell on her face.
She is so gorgeous! He thought as he sighed, trying to focus on his work.
"Som Ji!" She called so cutely that he almost grinned.
"Please help me with this case study. I'm nit able ti contemplate what disease is this. The man is completely fine and all the reports are, but he complains of a really bad head ache."
"You keep it here, I'll take a look and study it again." He said, still not moving his eyes away from her beautiful face.
"Okay. And tell me when would you have your lunch?" She kept the file on the table.
"I'll have it later, but can I have something else right now?" He smiled suggestively as he held her hands gently.
"And what's that?" She asked, blushing as his fingers brushed over hands ever so gently.
"You!" He smirked making her eyes go wide in surprise and her cheeks red in blush.
"Som Ji!" She hushed but he just giggled.
"What? I just live my wife!" He replied standing up and pulling her close to him.
"Who's just so beautiful!" He smiled, tucking a hair strand behind her ear.
"We're not at home." She murmured looking down.
"But we're together and that's enough reason for me to romance with my wife!" He winked and she turned around, walking away shyly.
"We've work Som Ji!" She blushed.
"Oh just one kiss Vibha!" He said and held her shoulders, pushing her against the wall and kissing her lips lovingly.
Her eyes widened in shock but she kissed him back, keeping her hands onto his chest as she clutched his white coat.

"Pati Babu please! Just once..." Bondita pouted eagerly.
"I said, Not right now Bondita!" He said in a stern voice, trying to focus on his work.
"You always do this! Can't you listen to me for once?" She whined.
"Stop acting like Mishti!" He rolled his eyes.
"And I always listen to you!"
"So listen to me for now too." She pouted.
"Bonditaa-" He started, but she instantly kissed his cheek, quietening her Pati Babu.
"Shhh!! You'll only listen to me now!" She pressed a smile on her lips.
"I promise, I'll focus on work after this." She trailed a finger down his cheek as he just sat there looking at her with shock.
"Th... This is still not right, Shona..." He stammered.
"It is!" Bondita nearly chuckled.
"Okay fine! Quickly pick up your handbag, I'll take you for your Puchka Date!" He sighed being defeated.
"Yeyy! I love you Pati Babuu!" She clapped her hands happily and pulled onto his arm, nearly dragging him out of the cabin to the car.
"Don't make this a habit Bondi-" He started.
"I knoww!" She rolled her eyes, puching him inside the car on the passenger's seat and herself sitting on the driver's seat.
"Shall I drive?" He offered.
"As if you like that?" She teased him, starting to drive.
"Ofcourse I don't." He chuckled.
"I live when you drive the car because then I can stare at you for as long as I wish while you stare at the road!" He smiled, leaning back onto the seat and staring at her beautiful face.
"Pati Babu!" She shook her head as a faint tint of red coloured her cheeks.
"You're beautiful!" He said as if out of manner. He didn't even feel it was something different he ever said.
Reaching her favourite Puchka stall, they walked to the stall and she took two plates.
"I don't want to." Anirudh said.
"You'll eat them today!" She urged with a pout and he just took the plate shaking his head.
"Dada, make it extra spicy!" Bondita asked the vendor excitedly.
"No need! Keep it normal!" Anirudh ordered, glaring at her.
"Leave it, I'm not eating." She crossed her arms with an angry frown.
"It's not good to eat so much spice Jaan." He urged.
"But Puchkas are meant to be spicy, Pati Babu!!" She told dramatically and he couldn't help but smile.
"Fine, as you wish." He chuckled and she happily started to eat.
After Anirudh ate one of the spicy Puchkas, he couldn't bear it anymore. His spice tolerance was really not as high as his wife's. He'd always been a sweet tooth since childhood, afterall.
"I can't have anymore." He hissed out of spice, keeping the plate down and heading to the car for water.
"Here!" Bondita forwarded a chocolate she had in her hand already.
"I knew it! I was just troubling you, Pati Babu., sorry." She smiled as he unwrapped the chocolate and ate it, shaking his head at his wife.
He didn't reply, instead he leaned a bit closer to her and whispered in her ear, his voice heavy and dark, "Get home, I'll show you what's troubling in real."
She nearly choked onto her Puchka as she looked at him wide eyed. Anirudh just laughed in the most teasing way and stuffed another Puchka into her mouth.

It was night time, when the three brothers were sitting on the terrace and discussing random things. There was still time for dinner and the kids had not yet returned from their evening visit to the park with Trilochan Babu.
They'd already discussed work and politics. Even family and friends were discussed but it just seemed to have ended so soon. They had so much to talk about, so much to discuss. Brothers have always been seen as only fighting or crime partners. But they can also have a more matured bond if groomed rightly and carefully.
"Tell us Dada, how's Boudi?" Batuk asked as Anirudh sipped onto his coffee, gazing at the Moon in the sky.
"The best." He spoke out of habit.
"That she is, but I was asking about her wellbeing!" He teased as Somnath broke into laughter.
"That you can ask her yourself too. I'll only praise her forever!" Anirudh rolled his eyes at his brothers.
"Dada! You're..." Somnath started.
"Okay fine, praise Boudi!" He said instead.
"Okay!" Anirudh's eyes lit up at the thought of praising his wife, as if he didn't already do it all the time.
"Bondita! She's the best, as I said. She's truly the best mother, the best Barrister and what not! She is...." He stopped.
"Wait! I always praise her. Why don't you two praise my sisters today?" He teased and leaned back onto his chair.
'Come on Som, praise Vibha!" He winked.
"Oh Dada, I can't." Somnath nearly blushed.
"Why are you blushing so much? We didn't ask you to kiss Boudi in public! It's just about praising her!" Batuk rolled his eyes at his brother.
"She's just what I could've ever wished for!" Somnath told with a dreamy smile.
"Our love story isn't much known to anybody else other than the two of us. It's because, she likes it this way. But I must tell you, the first time I saw her in the medical college, it wasn't clearly a beautiful place to meet. We were in the practical lab, standing across a dead body as the teacher dissected its chest." He told with a slight laughter as Anirudh and Batuk looked at him with utter shock.
"And that's when your heart got dissected with the cupid arrow?" Anirudh teased with a giggle.
"You can say so." Somnath blushed.
"I couldn't focus on the Professor's words, her large eyes were too intoxicating. The hair that was falling onto her face were just what I could look at and wish to push aside for a clearer view of those doe shaped orbs." He sighed, losing himself into the dreamland of his memories.
"What about you Batuk?" Anirudh smirked.
"We all know you didn't like Mallika initially, what made you fall for her then?" He asked, keeping his coffee cup down and looking at his brother.
"Oh Dada! She's just so easy to fall one love with!" Batuk chuckled.
"When I first met her, I didn't like her immaturity. She was too outspoken. Her personality was yet to be developed into that of a perfect woman, or as I thought." He said.
"But I always liked her, she was always that childish girl whom I could see as my little baby sister." Somnath smiled and Anirudh agreed.
"Yeah, but I'd always seen my Boudis being the perfect Bahus for our family and I expected just that from her. But as I got to know her I understood that she wasn't naive or immature, she was just like she was! Her personality didn't need a development, but she was already perfect as she was!" He added smiling at his own words.
"I know, she's completed you in the best of ways my brother!" Anirudh smiled with a sense of pride in his heart.
"I agree! She is the one who could make me feel more responsible about life, about myself and the most about her! If I would have gotten a matured wife, I would have surely remained that naive and childish Batuk. But her immaturity carved out the best in me and made me just the better version of myself!" Batuk smiled, his heart fluttering at this feeling.
"I'm proud of you both in every sense today! You've just not become more responsible but you both have grown into the finest of men, which makes me so happy!" Anirudh said happily.
"Dada what do you have to say about Boudi? As we haven't heard this a hundred times already, but we can never get tired." Somnath teased.
"Oh About Bondita! I just want to say that......" Anirudh stopped and stood with a mysterious smile on his face.
He walked over to the terrace entrance and peeking out for a moment, stretched his arm to pull onto Bondita's hand with a laugh.
"Boudi?" Batuk and Somnath gasped as they stood up in surprise.
"Mallika?" Batuk exclaimed in surprise as his wife followed too.
"Vibha you too?" Somnath widened his eyes and she just looked away shyly.
All this time Bondita stood there, her face red as she goggled so hard.
"Pati Babu!" She whined and laughed, blushing hard.
"You can't escape a barrister's eyes, Jaan! I've spent my life watching at everything closely and attentively." He winked and she just shoved lightly onto his shoulder.
"So Dada why didn't you tell us earlier?" Batuk laughed.
"I wanted my sisters to be happy jst the way they're right now." Anirudh said casually and Mallika and Vibhavari just hugged him out of embarrassment.
"Dadaa! Then why didn't you praise Boudi first?" Som complained.
"Your Boudi doesn't need to hear my praises anymore!" He laughed.
"Infact, roday she deserves a punishment. She's become so troublesome, you see!" Anirudh winked and she just rolled her eyes, blushing.
"Come on Dada! We aren't hearing another word against her okay?" Batuk wrapped his arm around Bondita and she leaned more into him as she stuck out her tongue to tease Anirudh.
"Ofcourse, she's our precious.... precious naughty sister!" Somnath laughed, teasing her.
