AURORA
Friday, 14th January
~Middle of the Night (Violin) by Joel Sunny

We finally landed at the right time, because there's supposed to be a storm today and I want to be home as soon as possible before this whole thing happens.

"Would you like my parents to take you?" Quinn asks me as she pulls her suitcase behind her. I nod as my mother tells me she and Theo are at work. Max is with the Montgomery's.

"Okay cool. Maybe you can join us too." "I'll pass. Today there's a storm, I'd rather stay home, you know." she nods at me, although I know exactly what she's thinking.

I shouldn't be alone, But I feel safe in my home, in my bed. Of course, it's also better from time to time when someone is with me, but max coming back so I'm not alone.

We came out when we had already seen Araya with Joshua. A big smile appeared on her lips. It's nice to be back. "Good to see you." Araya smiled and hugged us. I returned the small gesture.

"You look great." "Thank Araya you too." she gently tucks my hair behind my ear and smiles as a thank-you. This woman is made of gold.

"Come on." we didn't keep them waiting. "Here, you have something to do." Quinn winks to Joshua to put her suitcase in the trunk.

His look could kill her, which makes me laugh. "Go." She grinned and got in. If Araya weren't here, he'd be insulting Quinn through the alphabet if he wasn't already doing it in his head.

"Should I take yours too?" he referred to my suitcase. "Of course, thanks." but he smiled at me, not like with Quinn. "At least someone appreciates my work." He said loudly for Quinn to hear, which stuck her head out of the car. "Stop bitching, that's what big brothers are for, to help their sister."

"More for Monsters." "Joshua, stop it." his mother admonished him. "Always the same shit." He murmured under his nose. We got in together, Joshua in the front, me in the back with Quinn.

"And how was the trip?" "Well, we went to the museum, to the beach, and also bought a lot of new things," Quinn answers her question.

"And you, Aurora, how was it for you?" she stopped at the red light and looked at me through the small rearview mirror. I had so many thoughts in my head, about what has happened.

I got drunk, went to a party and made out with a guy I didn't know, saw my ex-best friend walk out of my enemy's room, went outside with Mason and talked about my dad, and of course the last and worst night.

Ares asked me if he could kiss me, I declined because he lied to me. Everything great.

"Good. But it could be better." I reply and not the long detailed version which will probably destroy the picture of me for Araya.

"Did you buy yourself something nice?" "A lip gloss and some clothes." I agreed. "Great." Araya was still talking about what happened here while we weren't here.

I'll put it this way, exactly as if we had been here all the time. Nothing special, except that Max is now in the finals of the hockey match and about to win, as well. And Joshua is dating this Eyna.

"He's getting a girlfriend?" Quinn said, shocked. "Why are you so surprised?" it came from Joshua also slightly confusing. "Woah chill, I just thought you'd die alone, you know, who would date you? Is she blind?"

"Quinn," her mother admonished, I could barely hold back a laugh. "What? You thought he wouldn't find one until he was 30."

"Mom." He looked at her indignantly. "Don't interfere, that's something else." how I love this family. "We're here." Araya stopped in front of my house. "Joshua, help her with the suitcase." "No, everything's fine, really." I got out and saw the dark clouds in the sky.

I quickly got my suitcase out and went back to the window. "Drive carefully." "Of course, take care and tell your mother to text me." I nodded to Araya and said goodbye as I walked towards to my house.

It was really dark, and you notice that it was about to rain. I hope mom and Theo get home safely. At home, I immediately lay down on the couch that looked unmoved.

I took out my phone and texted my mother that I was home, she also informed me that she was taking an extra shift and therefore did not intend to be there before 2 a.m.

I hope she's not overexerting herself. The last time, she had to stay at home for two days because of pain. But she also wrote that Theo picks up Max from the Montgomery's later.

That means I'm all the storm that's slowly beginning alone. I can hear the strong wind whistling through the windows. Fuck, I thought I had Max, I would have gone to Quinn, but that's too late because when I look out the window it's raining heavily.

My phone rang briefly because I got another message.

Mason:
Can you call me?

Doesn't sound bad after the fear. Distraction is good. So I pressed the call button and heard the phone ring. A few seconds later, Mason answered.

"What's up?" "I wanted to talk about something." he sounds serious. His voice is hoarse but rough. "Did something happen?"

"No, everything is fine, but it's about Ares." I rolled my eyes. Even before the flight, Ares annoyed me that I should believe him. Did he pay Mason to quote him or what?

"If it's about the Ashley thing, then I already know everything." "No, you don't know. She lied to you, Aurora. She was there when Ares came out of the shower, she sent you the message, Ares don't lie to you."

"Did he pay you to say that?" "He didn't, he hardly has something in his pocket, but I think you deserve the truth." or he wants to talk his friend into good terms.

"Can I trust you? Not that it's another plan." I have a big trust in Mason, but not as much as I did before that thing with Kirian. "I would never lie to you again, really."

"Well, that's how it is." although I can imagine Ashley sleeping with Ares specifically make me mad, although there's no real reason. I've never shown any signs of liking him. Never.

"What else are you up to? Do you want to do something?" I jumped slightly when I heard the storm outside. "No, well, yes, but not today. I think I stay at home. I have to hang up, my mom needs me right now." it came from me like from a waterfall.

I hung up without letting Mason say anything. Man, this can't be true, I'm home alone, and I'm more scared than I should be. I thought I would be better than this and my fear was gone.

I got off the couch and walked to my room, grabbed my headphones, and put them in my ears with very loud music, so I couldn't hear anything. I held a book in my hand and started to read. I hope it will be over soon.

---

The storm's going a few hours. Even the music doesn't help through the fear of others things in my head. I definitely can't sleep with this shit.

I took off my headphones for a moment. The rain was heard beating against the glass as thunder was heard again. I slapped my hands over my ears and shut my eyes tight. "I'm home, everything's fine." I breathed in and out deeply and tried to repeat the words to myself a few times.

My mom always tells me to just breathe and think this storm can't come in. He can't, but it still scares me. My hands are shaking when I hear a knock, and I scream.

I opened my eyes and saw someone standing at the window. The person is wet, full of rain. I quickly ran over and opened the window, which allowed him to come in.

"What are you doing here?" Ares came in and closed the window so my floor doesn't get wet. I took the towel that was fresh in my room because I wanted to fold it and take it away so I gave it to him.

"You didn't answer my messages." "I have better things to do." maybe I trust Mason because of the whole Ashley thing, but it doesn't mean Ares is a trustworthy person. I didn't trust blindly.

"Why are you shaking? I should be shaking?" he asked me and looked at my hands. Shit. He should get out of here. I don't want him to see how I behave during a storm.

But I can't send him out in a situation like that, it would be too dangerous. "It's nothing." "Are you okay? You look pale." I nodded but winced as thunder rang out.

My hands crossed in front of my chest and I hugged myself tightly. "Are you afraid?"

"Isn't that obvious?" again I winced and closed my eyes, the silly memories of the day coming into my mind. "You're not alone, okay." without allowing Ares to be near, he takes me in his arms.

I held onto his wet sweater tightly, as if he was about to go away and let me go. Fuck, why? Why do I want to be near him right now?

*
"You're not supposed to be here." "But I am." my head rests on his chest, his heartbeat quickens slightly. I close my eyes and listen carefully to it.

It will pass, and the storm will be gone. I said to myself again while standing in Ares's arm. "Believe me or not, I don't lie to you. I didn't have sex with Ashley, she was in my room when I got out of the shower, I didn't text you either. I know your trust in me is small, but you have to believe me."

"I do." I breathed in and out deeply, I'm definitely calmer than I was alone all those hours ago. The storm is still there, but it's getting better.

"You believe me? Why?" I looked up at him as he caught my eyes. His hair is soaking wet and his skin is shiny from the rainwater.

"Because I do, shouldn't I?" "No, you should." "Then be quiet." I smiled, which he did after me. "I'll say something else." I rolled my eyes. What does he want again?

"I want to thank you too. For having trust in me despite everything." My heart is beating faster than a normal heartbeat. My hands are still clinging to his sweater as he holds me in his arm.

Then I do what I would never have thought of myself. I came closer and kiss him. I kiss Ares Hall.

I didn't want it to, but that's exactly what happened. I kissed Ares, and I still do. It's like I don't want to part our lips.

When our lips touch, something strange happens. Pulsating waves of heat pull from my mouth through my body, brushing my nipples before pouring even further down.

I slowly build my lips against his, he doesn't block, he joins in. He tastes of peppermint, and the mint flavor floods my taste buds.

My lips open all by themselves, and Ares takes the chance to slip his tongue into my mouth. As my tongue plays with his, penetrates deeper, a moaning sound escapes him, it vibrates throughout my body.

A feeling of panic overcame me immediately. My hands loosen and go around his neck, one of his staying around my waist as he puts the other in my hair.

I don't know what I'm doing here. Should I stop or continue with this? My body wants this now, all of this, this kiss which is more than good. But I broke away from him.

"That's wrong," I say, "But it feels damn right." Ares pulled me to reconnect our lips. With small steps backward we came to my bed where I got on it and Ares with me.

Without tearing our lips apart, Ares walked up and down my waist, my hands in his hair. That kiss is amazing. As his tongue runs across mine, I stroke his cheek, which turns out to be a huge mistake.

The scratchy feel of his stubble on my palm ignites the pleasure that ensues spreading in my body, only more.

His face feels strong and masculine, and his pure manliness inspires more desire in me. I need more. I never thought I would, but damn, I need more.

Moaning in agony, I tilt my head to deepen the kiss, and my tongue explores his mouth urgently.

No, not urgently, but hunger. I'm hungry for him. Ares runs his fingers through my hair and pulls me closer while wrapping one of his strong arms around my waist to hold me steady.

My breasts are now pressed against his rock-hard torso and I can feel the wild pounding of his heart. His excitement matches mine.

The harsh, hoarse moan he lets out tickles my lips and makes my heart beat even faster. Something is happening to me, I can't stop kissing him.

He makes me dependent and although I may have started the whole thing, I can't control myself.

Ares kisses with so much skill and confidence that it takes my breath away. As he sucks on my lower lip, I feel a tug in my nipples and press a hand to his chest to calm myself and keep me from further pleasure to receive.

His hot lips leave mine and brush down my chin to my neck, which he covers with kisses that make me tremble.

I wrapped my hands around his face and pulled him to eye level. I want his lips back on mine. I ran my thumbs over his bottom lip and looked first at his lips and then into his eyes, which were shining beautifully.

I could never believe that I'm jealous of normal brown eyes like this one. It's like I'm just seeing what I've always missed. The beauty in them, the sadness, the anger, the nervousness. I see nothing but emotion.

Ares cupped my entire waist in one hand and rolled me over, so I was lying on my back. Our eyes contact is even more intense. His hand brushes the bottom of my shirt. My stomach pulled in. I was breathing heavily.

"Can I?" I nodded this time. I allowed him to remove my shirt. He gently grabbed the fabric and in one quick movement, he pulled it off me. I tensed up. I was getting warm even though my room was always cold, especially when it rains.

He ran his fingers along the rim of my bra, then placed a kiss on my chest. My gaze fell to the ceiling as I tried to breathe.

It's like I've never been got coveted, even though I've had some pretty good sex back then. I tried to stop myself from groaning. My eyes opened and looked down, Ares planted soft kisses all over my body.

My stomach tightened again, but this time to stop the prickling that was so big. I grabbed his shirt and Ares removed it without any problem.

My hand curled around his neck, motioning for him to come up to meet my lips again. I've never felt anything like that. That I need it, That I have to kiss him to satisfy my longing.

I can't put it into words. I went to my pants and wanted to take them off as well, like my shirt. He noticed and held my hand. "Do you really want that?" I didn't say anything, as an answer, I lay under Ares only with my underwear.

He looked at me, his gaze stopping at my lower right waist. I looked down and saw him looking at the scar I got from the car accident, which is often hidden by my pants and slip. He ran his index finger over it lightly. "Words could never describe you."

His touch is like fire, I can't rest. It burns, the consequence is the combustion, but I accept this, it burns like hell. I grabbed his face and pulled him up so our lips touched.

Authoritatively, my hips move back and forth slightly, making Ares hiss. I never thought a male moan could be so fucking hot like this one, but I never thought I'd be so close to Ares as I am right now.

The next moment I don't want anything else, it would have stayed that way if his phone hadn't started ringing. "Ignore it." He said between our lips and kissed me like it was the last time he gets to touch them, to see me like this.

It keeps ringing and when it stops it starts again. I pulled away from him and stopped moving my hips. "Answer it."

He rolled his eyes, straightened up, and picked up the phone. "What?" he said a little pissed. "Yes, I'm here, she's fine." He took the phone from his ear and held it towards me. The name Mason was on the display.

I tapped my chest lightly to sound normal. "Yes?" I'm pushing Ares aside and stood up, going down and picking up my shirt.

"Thank god you're still alive. What's happening? I was worried." I really shouldn't have just hung up like that. "Everything's fine. Sorry, you have to worry."

"Good. But is everything okay now?" "Yes, everything is fine," Mason said something else, then said good night and hung up. "Here." I gave Ares the phone. I quickly put the shirt on, it was an oversize shirt, which meant that only my legs weren't covered.

He got up from the bed and looked at me. "You should go. My stepfather is coming soon." I informed him without saying anything else, he nodded, took his shirt, and put it on.

I led him to the front door and without saying a word, he walked out. I closed the door behind him and ran stressful with my hand through my hair.

What was that?
