AURORA
Monday, 12th September

My alarm clock rings louder than usual. It hurts my ears. I opened my left eye to finally turn it off.

I have got a headache. Quinn shouldn't have convinced me to get drunk yesterday. That party was just too much. I don't even want to know how stressed Dylan was because of it.

I don't remember. I reached to my dessert and grabbed the pills I stashed there.

My mom would freak out if she knew when I even got into bed. I sneak out of the room.

Sometimes it's just more advantageous to have your room at the end of the hall where there is also a window.

I looked for some water that should be standing here somewhere. If not, I have to take her later. I really have no nerve for something like that, even in the morning.

"Aurora, get up!" Max came into my room without knocking. Which is why a bright light shone in my still slightly dark room.

"Max!" I threw the blanket over my face. "Mom says I should wake you up, so you won't be late. Her words, not mine." he left the door open and ran away.

"Shut the door!" I called after him, but he ignored me coldly and kept walking away. I threw my head on the pillow with my face on it.

Not even 3 minutes later, my mother came into the room and woke me up, even though I was already awake.

I finally got out of bed, grabbed the bottle of water that was on my desk, and swallowed the pill.

I quickly got ready for school and ran down the stairs to the kitchen. "Here." My mother put an egg and bacon plate in front of me where I sat.

"You know you don't have to stress yourself out and make me breakfast." I speared the egg with a fork and leaked it into my mouth.

"When I can do it for Max, then I can do it for you at the same time." She put the milk in the fridge. "Should I drive you today?" "Yes, please. Dylan had to leave earlier. Something about a sport festival." I sighed, annoyed, and ate the bacon.

"Great, then we'll come to cheer you on." "Mom, please don't." "Why? Didn't you win last time?" I took the last piece in my mouth, but stopped before I put it in. "I was sitting on the bench." I ate the piece.

"We'll go." I rolled my eyes, got up with the empty plate and did it in the sink. Then I walk to my room to get my phone and backpack.

I was about to get my phone when I realized I wasn't putting it in my loading sill properly. I have only five percent.

I slapped my forehead. I hate my drunk self so much. Nevertheless, I packed my phone in the gray jacket pocket that is my father's and grabbed my backpack to finally leave.

"I'm done." My mother pulled Max's backpack, so he can go to school. "Me too." he smiled at my mother. She pinched his cheeks. "Well, get in the car, I'll be right there." Which we did immediately.

I'm about to finish school, only the math lessons, for which I literally torture myself through. I didn't see Quinn today. She probably stayed home.

Wimp. I even go to school after this bad hangover, which is still giving me problems.

"Now you have to take the root." I don't understand anything, but I still write everything down, so I can use it after class.

In the next few days, I also have to do the upcoming test in English. At least I go in there with a good feeling.

It's noticeable that the final year of school is harder than the previous ones, but I'm doing well. Except for the F of course. "Here." I looked to the side and saw Liam sitting next to me in math.

He gave me a note, which I accepted with a raised eyebrow. Where are we? In kindergarten that we still do something like that?

I opened the note and looked at it.

Meet me in the parking
lot after class A~

I looked up and then saw Ares was one row behind at the door. I smiled at him, crumpled the note with one hand and threw it right out the window which were open next to me.

He rolled his eyes and wrote another one. I will definitely not accept this one.

I concentrated on the lesson again when the bell rang. I quickly packed my things to go home quickly. I need sleep. I'm tired, I only slept about three hours, and it's killing me.

I was walking down the hall when I was stopped. "Aurora." I rolled my eyes in annoyance and turned to Ares.

"What?" I gripped my backpack tighter. "Here." he held a few sheets in front of my nose.

"Whatever it is, I do not want it. Definitely not from you." I wanted to leave, but this Idiot wouldn't let me. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the first door that was next to us.

"Are you crazy! Let me out right now." Ares was standing right in front of the door of this disgusting broom closet, in which he was dragging me inside.

"I won't let you go until you take this and look at it." He held out the papers again. "You're crazy." "You call me crazy but stormed into my apartment where me and one person were naked."

"Whatever." I ripped the papers out of his hand and started to read them. "What should I do with them? This is our project, I gave it to you, I don't need it...." "Just keep reading." He cut me off.

Annoyed, I turned the page when I saw the grade. "An B." "It's not an A, but I can't grant you every wish."

I looked up at him. "How did you do that?" "Mr. Lenk is only a teacher who can feel compassion." I could jump out of happiness. But I don't do that, I have to act brave in front of Ares.

"Thanks." He nodded to me. "Can I go out now?" I want to go out and scream, take Quinn to the movies, or even my whole family. I am so happy.

Ares stepped aside when I went to the door and wanted to open the door, exactly at that moment nothing happened. The first thing I thought was that I didn't turn the handle down, but when I tried again, my joy disappeared.

I shook the door, hoping it would open somehow, but nothing happened. "Now open the door." "I'm trying." I grumbled as the idiot who babbled behind me.

"Let me." He pushed me behind him. "Oh yes, the man gets down to business, then everything always works." I rolled my eyes, but just like at me, they didn't open.

"Awesome, great, fantastic. It's all your fault." I walked back and forth, which I really couldn't do properly because everything here was full of cleaning supplies.

"My? If you had taken those stupid leaves, I wouldn't have dragged you in here." "Why did you drag me inside, in the first place." I yelled at him. He turned to me. "Because you wanted that grade!" he yelled at me back.

Then he pulled out his phone and held it up to get some Internet here. "Look on your phone." "My phone is dead." "Great." Ares slammed his hand on the door out of anger.

"I don't have time to stay locked in here." "You think me? It has to be with you." "Can I give it back." I put Ares to the side, just like he did to me earlier.

"Hello! Is anyone there?" I slammed my hand against the door and yelled.

"Everybody's out of school. Nobody will hear you." "At least I'm doing something, now help me or be shut up." and I started screaming again. It's a nightmare, right with him. It could be a pretty smart boy, but no exactly him.

Even Ashley would be... okay, no, Ares is okay when I look at it that way. I would rip Ashley's head off, though I can't promise I'll do the same with Ares.

I've been pounding on the door for almost twenty minutes. Ares didn't do anything, he sat down on the table that was here and ate his candy bar that he had in his backpack.

"Can you stop now? Nobody will come. Not now." I rolled my eyes.

"Stop annoying me, I'm trying to do something here. I'm hungry, I'm dead tired, and I have a hangover too. So let me bang on that stupid door until a soul hears me."

I turned around again and started punching. "I'm not surprised you're hungover after yesterday."

"What do you mean?" I looked at him. "Well, about the fact that you jumped into the pool with your clothes on and then when your friend got you out, you almost ripped all your clothes off. That was a great performance." he showed me the hand sign, which stood for okay.

Why the hell can't I remember? Oh, man. In the pool? And then almost undressed in front of the people? I'm really stupid. I really need to stop drinking so much, or I'll be really naked in front of everything soon.

My voice is starting to hurt as well as my hands. Exhausted, I sit down next to the table. "Do you have another chocolate bar?" "No, ate everything." "You can't even share." I said annoyed.

"I can choke it out." "You're gross." I leaned against the wall and stared at the shelves of individual items. I don't know how long I can last here.

We sit here with no internet, drink or food. I'm still tired. I tried, so I get comfortable on the floor, not as comfortable as the mattress I have on my bed, but I can sleep as long as we're locked in here.

I have nothing else to do and with Ares to talk about life will not be an option for me either. He's like a taboo for me. A person with whom I would prefer to remain silent forever in order not to talk to him.

"If you're tired, you can also sit on the table." "What?" I opened my eyes and saw Ares standing in front of me. "I said if you want to sleep, you can sit on the table."

"Let's not pretend to be nice." I waved my hand to make him go away. "You're really stubborn, you know that?" "I get it... Ahh." I no longer on the floor, felt two strong arms around my body now.

"Put me down, you idiot." "Chill." the next moment I was sitting on the table. "Here, my backpack is more comfortable." "How should your backpack be more comfortable than mine? They are both backpacks?"

"I don't have thousands of books in there, just sports stuff." I look at him in disgust. "They're clean. I was going to gym after school. Now lie down and sleep with that, you're doing us both a favor."

I didn't want to do what he told me to, but his backpack just about doubled as a pillow and the oversized jacket that belonged to my father was almost like a nice blanket for me.

"I'm doing this because I want to, not because you told me to." I pulled his backpack from his hand and placed it at the end of the table, then rested my head on it and closed my eyes.

Just now I really realize how tired I am. The table felt like my bed, idiot's backpack felt like a real pillow, and my father's jacket felt like a real blanket.

I was so tired that these things seemed real to me. I immediately fell into a deep sleep.

---

I was woken up by a noise. I opened my eyes and saw Ares doing something at the door. "What are you doing?" "Breaking the door." he put the screwdriver back in the box and tried to open the door, which didn't work.

"Fuck." he countered. This boy really has some aggression. I straightened up and immediately felt a pain in my neck. "Shit, that hurts."

I touched my neck. It really hurts a lot, I hate this day. Anything that can go wrong, going wrong.

"How long was I asleep?" Ares shrugged. "Maybe two to three hours." quite a long time for sleeping on a wooden table.

"It doesn't work at all." Ares closed the box and wanted to put it back where he got it from. "Let me try." I got up and walk to him.

He put the box down again. "I've tried everything, nothing works, but please smartass." I rolled my eyes.

In the box, everything was just thick or things that were too big to crack the lock. I rummaged around until I actually found a staple. "You don't really think you can do that?"

"Oh, look and learn." My toxic trait is that I really think I can do it. That's easy. It always looked so easy in the movies.

Just go in, wiggle, and you've got the door open. So I did. I straightened the staple to put it in the lock.

Then I put it in and moved it like I really had a clue what I was doing here. I heard a click and the door open. I straighten up immediately.

"I did it." I raised my hands. "I told you." I wiggled the staple in front of Ares's nose, as he smiled and pulled it down. "Of course you have."

"Oh guys, what are you doing here?" We looked at the door that opened. There stood the director, the caretaker and Ashley who looked at me and Ares.

My smile fell. I didn't make it. "Can someone explain what you're doing in there?" "We were locked in. The door closed, and we couldn't get out." I explained.

He sighed as if trying to calm down. "All right then. Luckily, Ashley heard you two." he put his hand on her shoulder. "Please go home then, it's late."

I nodded and got my backpack as I took Ares and handed it to him. I walked out without saying a word to him. I got a real death look from Ashley, which I just gave back.
