He opened one eye to peek at his surrounding. He caught a glimpse of golden palace's roof. What was going on ??? Then he noticed a man walking beside him. He didn't know jet that he woke up. Now he remembered !
Without second thought with all his strength he crushed into man's side. Even if still not fully conscious he won't himself be kidnaped another time ! Mouth with a scar formed a painful grim but the hands didn't let go.
-You !-Byakko struggled and kicked without mercy. But this time the man was fully prepared. Not letting any push reach it's destination. Shi Shuan was burning with anger as the reality fell hard on him. He was still uselessly weak !
-Behave yourself if you don't want to became Sedah's meal.-the black dog barked.

Shi Shuan froze. Being tore by this creature won't be pleasant. But he didn't know what's waiting for him ahead. Maybe something soo bad... that dog's teeth munching on him would be better ? Good imagination didn't help in this kind of situation.
-HEY, STOP RIGHT THERE !-shouted one of the guards from behind giving Shi Shuan a flicker of hope. Even if they were outside the city it still a chance for rescue !
Just as he plucked up the courage to threw kicks at him again a deadly punch landed on his stomach and then the old man threw him at the god's back like a lifeless bag of potatoes.
-I SAID STOP !!!-he yelled running but before he got close the man already sat on the dog giving him orders.
Monstrous beast obediently run which looked more like some ugly horse's mad dance. In case of speed too. In a blink the soldier's silhouette disappeared along with Byakko's hope. Now he could rely only on his own abilities.
But this time was different. Earlier it was a bunch of men now there was only one old man with a sea of wrinkles. Stopped back exposed by the heavy cloak was great contrast to his earlier shown strength. Maybe some kind of body-strengthening spell ? If so then he must be really talented to maintain that fearsome might.
Another idea. Was this man perhaps a demon ? After glaring at him for a while he still couldn't confirm nor dispel. But this was to be expected. About Demons he knew as much as he found out from Shen Yuan - literally nothing.
,,IfI will make it back to the golden palace I will read every book about demons I will lay my hands on !''-he swore to himself observing his surroundings. Now that his eyes were open he was even able to more-or-less predict the direction which turned out to be west if guessed right. There was nothing there he knew of. Another forced trip to unknown.

Shi Shuan looked back composed. Afraid ? Of course ! But he just got used to those surprises. It's his third time already so he's pretty much experienced by now. He just couldn't bring himself to have any reaction for the third time.
-Answer.-he didn't back off. He must know what was this ,,adventure's'' purpose.

Well, it was hard to talk-back at this. Not wanting to miss beautiful scenery he shut up.
After riding on something this massive he was sick from staying still but mor urgent problem was different. Now that half of his body touched that dog he felt all the mussels and bones inside. One even strike between his ribs with each move. No one would be happy but additionally his hung upside-down head made him wanting to vomit.
He couldn't even change position and tied hands didn't helped at all. Well-known ribbon glimmered under the moon as the hands tried to burn it nonstop. But of course with blocked energy there wasn't any hope. But there was still the knife inside his robes left. Fortunately it didn't stabbed him jet.
Shi Shuan nearly forgot about it's existence. It patiently waited to be used but it will wait a bit because he couldn't even scratch his nose not speaking about searching around his robes.
So he took the old tactic to wait when the man will get tired and will leave him on his own. But it didn't happen for a whole restless night.
