Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were polishing their swords just outside of the Gentian House.
"Hey Lan Zhan, it's been a week since they've left. It's really awkward now that I don't usually roam around anymore."
"It's still the same."
"Of course for you."
Wei Wuxian laughed as he finished polishing Suibian. He stood up and swung the sword around.
"Madam Lan isn't here right now. Probably still trying to poison that one elder but! Wanna go to Caiyi?"
Lan Wangji stared at Wei Wuxian for a momment before softly smiling and placing Bichen back into it's sheathe. He stood up and took Wei Wuxian by his hand.
"What Wei Ying wants."
"Oh hush."
Wei Wuxian placed Suibian back into it's sheathe.
"Let's go!"
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji ran, of course with Lan Wangji scolding Wei Wuxian not to run.
They were now walking around Caiyi, Wei Wuxian was playing with a toy rattle drum he nearly stole but thank God Lan Wangji always brought money.
"What do you think we should do now? Since we can't kill anything here other than corpses or monsters, it's really boring."
"Whatever Wei Ying wants to do."
"You always want to do what I want to do! Are you trying to become me?"
"No."
"Then... How about we do what you want to do!"
"What I want?"
"Well we never really did what you want! You always follow my suggestions so I feel kinda guilty dragging you where I want to go."
"What Wei Ying wants is what I want."
Wei Wuxian flicked Lan Wangjis' forehead.
"I said I want to do what you want."
Lan Wangji stared at him with an empty look.
"Don't tell me you don't have anything you want to do!"
Lan Wangji remained staring at him.
"Oh My God. Lan Zhan! How could you not have any bucket lists?"
Wei Wuxian pinched his cheeks.
"I know you have a set life but you've got to have something you want to do!"
Lan Wangji looked away.
"I do."
Wei Wuxian tilted his head.
"What is it?"
Lan Wangji mumbled. Wei Wuxian knew he was shy, by the fact he could hear his heartbeat and well, his ears were red.
"What do you want to do, Lan Zhan?"
"Boat... With you..."
"Sorry I couldn't hear you."
Wei Wuxian leaned in, their cheeks brushing against each other.
"I want to ride on a boat... With you..."
Wei Wuxian was speechless but his heart said otherwise. A bright smile painted on Wei Wuxians' face as he clung on Lan Wangji, quivering.
"Hahahaha! That's so cute!"
Wei Wuxian hugged Lan Wangji.
"Alright! Let's go riding on your little dream boat."
"Wei Ying."
"Alright! Alright! I'm kidding."
Wei Wuxian softly smiled at Lan Wangji.
"Come on."
Lan Wangji looked into his silver hued eyes and inhaled.
"Mn."
Both now afloat on a boat, rowing on the calm water as the chatter of people lower.
"I really like the water."
Wei Wuxian smiled as he let his hand down, water touching his finger tips.
"The water is very warm."
Lan Wangji was expressionless but his eyes lit up in excitement. Wei Wuxian watched him as he uses his fist to lay on. His lips were apart but it slowly turned into a loving smile.
"Lan Zhan."
"Mn?"
"You're really beautiful."
Lan Wangji looked at Wei Wuxian.
"I'm not a mirror, Wei Ying."
"H-Hey! Since when were you flirty?!"
Wei Wuxian hid behind his hands. Lan Wangji exhaled as he scooted over, tucking Wei Wuxians' bangs behind his ear.
"Then thank you, for the compliment. But I think Wei Ying is more so."
"Wah! Lan Zhan! If you were this bold to a girl, I doubt they would even survive your charm!"
Lan Wangji held Wei Wuxians' hand, giving it a light kiss.
"Would love no other than Wei Ying."
Wei Wuxian inhaled as he looked up at the sky. It was getting a little darker.
"Looks like it's going to rain. We're a bit far away from the town now."
Then a drop of water fell on his nose.
"And it did."
Lan Wangji took out an umbrella from his sleeves as he now sheltered both himself and his lover.
"These sleeves are scary! I just wonder how much it can fit in."
"It can fit a lot."
Wei Wuxian giggled. They stayed like that for a couple of minutes. The rain continued to pour lightly and the boat still continued to drift away. Wei Wuxian watched as the little droplets of water collided with the water below. Reminds him of a certain incident he had. Lan Wangji was kind of upset that the rain ruined their boat date. Wei Wuxian noticed this as he internally laughed loudly at Lan Wangjis' obvious upset nature. He inhaled and exhaled sharply before smiling at Lan Wangji.
"You know, I think I like it when it rains."
Wei Wuxian looked into Lan Wangjis' eyes.
"It's cold and a perfect weather for cuddling... It's calming... It's..."
Wei Wuxian stopped on his words when Lan Wangjis' lips were just a centimeter away.
"Beautiful..."
Lan Wangji kissed Wei Wuxian as the male returned the kiss. Wei Wuxian wrapped his arms around Lan Wangjis' neck as he leaned in more.
"M-Mm~"
Wei Wuxian opened his mouth slightly, letting the other make their way in. Lan Wangji held the umbrella with one hand as the other supported Wei Wuxian through the waist. Lan Wangji pulled Wei Wuxian closer as they continue to kiss. Separating lips as a trail of saliva follow. Catching up to their breaths as Wei Wuxian wipes Lan Wangjis' lips.
"You know, a boat date really is romantic!"
Wei Wuxian closed the umbrella. Lan Wangji saw a rainbow behind his lover.
"Let's do this again soon, Lan Zhan!"
"Mn. Will do it again with you, Wei Ying."

Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian were walking back to Cloud Recesses. The stairs were fairly long and it was like a romantic walk for them. Hand in hand as they talk about the future, as if they have a clue.
"So! I should say the the spirit alure flag will be a great success!"
"Anything Wei Ying makes is perfect."
"Now that's a lie."
Wei Wuxian chuckled.
"You don't have to say good things about me Lan Zhan."
"But what if that's what I see?"
Wei Wuxian did not speak but his lips were in a small smile.
"Are you sure?"
"Have I ever lied to you?"
"You did. You said that you didn't have a gift for me but you did!"
"Other than that, Wei Ying."
"Hmph, fine. You never lied..."
"Then why don't you believe me?"
"I don't know. Maybe because other people are way better than me? Maybe other people are smarter, prettier or handsomer than me. Maybe some are more than me."
"There is no such thing."
"Huh?"
"Because Wei Ying is his own title. His own standard."
Wei Wuxian wanted to put cloth over Lan Wangjis' mouth. His heart couldn't take it anymore. It's about to burst into a million lovey dovey bubbles.
"L-Lan Zhan! You've got to warn me before you make me feel a heart attack!"
Lan Wangji hugged Wei Wuxian.
"I'm sorry. I just don't like Wei Ying comparing his self to others because to me... You're enough. You're perfect because you are Wei Ying."
Wei Wuxian sighed as he hugged Lan Wangji tighter.
"Alright."
"I love you."
Wei Wuxian didn't reply but he chuckled lightly.
"Alright."
They continued to walk back to the entrance, where Lan Qiren greeted them.
"A-Ying, Wangji."
"A-diē?"
"Shifu."
Lan Qiren cleared his throat before giving them a scroll.
"The Archery competition for the Qishan conference. You both and Xichen shall be joining."
Wei Wuxian took the scroll and opened it up, quickly reading the details.
"Yay!"
Wei Wuxian happily jumped.
"Lan Zhan! Lan Zhan! We're going to go archery again!"
"Mn."
Lan Qiren sighed.
"A-Ying, calm down."
"But! It's been ages!"
Lan Qiren couldn't help but exhale.
"You both get ready, and do tell Xichen when you find him. That kid has been disappearing a lot lately."
Lan Qiren walked away.
"Come on, Lan Zhan! Let's look for Xichen-ge!"
"Okay."
Wei Wuxian held Lan Wangjis' hand as they began walking to where, Lan Xichen would often rule break. Wei Wuxian came across Nie Huaisang and Meng Yao, who were also looking for Nie Mingjue.
"A-Sang! Meng Yao!"
"Young Master Wei, Second Young Master Lan."
"Wuxian! Ji-xiong."
"Meng Yao, I told you to call me Wuxian. Should I call you A-Yao to prove my point?"
Meng Yao blushed as he shook his hands in confrontation.
"N-no! You don't have to, Y-Young Master- I mean Wuxian!"
"That's more like it!"
Wei Wuxian patted Meng Yao on the shoulder.
"You looking for Ming-ge too?"
"Yes actually."
"Well come on! Me and Lan Zhan are also looking for Xichen-ge and I happen to know where."
"Where?"
They all followed Wei Wuxian as the male trudged the way he memorized.
"Uhm, Wuxian. Why are we climbing up a mountain?"
"Well you know Gusu is remotely just made up of mountains fit for suicide but a monk suddenly decided to build a sect here-"
"Wei Ying."
"Right right. This area is actually off limits. Since the upper area was struck so badly by a storm it became hazardous."
"Then what would First Young Master Lan do here?"
Wei Wuxian laughed.
"Wouldn't it be a perfect spot for a date?"
They reached the top. The other three were mesmerized by the beauty of the place. Hanging vines and beautiful lilac flowers. Hanging from the branches were orchids and some other perennials scattered.
"Wuxian... You never told me you owned heaven..."
Wei Wuxian sighed.
"Xichen-ge and I have been renovating this area the past years."
Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji and took him by the hand.
"I really wanted to take you here."
"I..."
Nie Huaisang and Meng Yao sniffled. Meng Yao wiped his tear.
"Please... Don't make us feel single."
"Oops?"
Wei Wuxian then gasped.
"Right! Come on."
Wei Wuxian walked forward as the other three followed, he then stopped and gestured them to stay quiet. Wei Wuxian opened the vines apart and in the middle of the tall trees was an opening with beautiful fairy lit lights. In the middle was Nie Mingjue laying on Lan Xichens' lap while Lan Xichen sang for him.
"Aren't they beautiful...?"
The four of them watched the seniors having their beautiful moment.
"Well time to ruin it for them."
Wei Wuxian walked in.
"Xichen-ge! Ming-ge!"
Both seniors sat up.
"XianXian!"
"A-Xian!"
"Oh I'm not alone, I brought company."
Lan Wangji, Nie Huaisang and Meng Yao stepped in.
"Da-Ge! You never told me you were already married to Er-ge!"
"A-Sang! It's not what you think- I-"
Meng Yao chuckled.
"Looks like Sect Leader Nie and First Young Master Lan are enjoying their honey moon."
"Meng Yao!"
"Xiongzhang, we have news."
Lan Xichen stood up, followed by Nie Mingjue.
"What is it Wangji?"
Lan Wangji gave the scroll, Nie Mingjue took it and as soon as he read the contents, his face darkened.
"An Archery competition at the conference?"
"Yup! And we'll be joining, A-diē said."
"I even forgot I was Sect Leader."
Nie Mingjue sighed, Lan Xichen chuckled as he patted Nie Mingjue's shoulder.
"You can do it A-Jue."
Nie Mingjue just let out a breath.
"Wah, Sect Leader Nie really is a sucker for First Young Master Lan."
"Meng Yao, let's fix Da-Ge's room. They might need it for their smoochie smooches."
"Huaisang!"
"Eek! Protect me Meng Yao!"
Nie Huaisang hid behind Meng Yao who stood sweating.
"Well other than that! I'm excited to go there!"
Nie Mingjue looked at Wei Wuxian.
"Why are you excited to go there?"
"Well I did make friends with a pair of siblings there! I just can't wait to meet them again."
"Made friends with a Wen...?"
"Ming-ge, I know you have undeniable hate towards the Wen Clan but please don't pour your anger on others. Qing-jie and A-Ning don't even carry swords!"
"They are still Wen."
"I know I can't convince you but... Not all Wens are bad."
"Hmph."
