I ran across the street behind Rick, freezing in horror at the boy in front of me.

  "Randall!" I shrieked in panic.

  "Claire, you know this boy?"

"It's my brother," I shouted. "Randy what the fuck happened?" I rushed over to him, pushing Rick's hands away from me as tears sprang to my eyes.

Randy cried, lifting his head up with tears down his face. "Claire! Claire you gotta help me please!"

"Shut up, you're going to attract walkers over here," Rick whispered sharply.

  "Rick fucking help him!"

I stood on to the fence, the spike from a part of it poking into my shoulder roughly. "Claire get down before you hurt yourself," Rick scolded, yanking me off the fence. I gave him a cold glare as Hershel and Glenn came over.

"We have to go now," Hershel warned to Rick.

I shook my head in panic. "No," Randall and I both cried out. "I'm not leaving my fucking brother here to die!"

  "Brother?" Glenn asked confused.

Hershel patted Randall's leg that wasn't impaled. "I'm sorry son, we have to go."

"Hershel don't you fucking dare," I hissed. "He's my family."

Hershel turned to me sadly. "Claire there's just too many walkers coming, we have to go now."

"No no, don't leave me please," Randall begged, sitting himself up.

  "We have to go"

  "We can't!" I spat. "Please..."

"He was just shooting at us!" Glenn argued angrily.

"He's a kid," Rick tried to reason.

I jabbed my finger into Glenn's chest, staring into his eyes coldly. "That's my fucking brother you asshole. He was only doing what he was told!"

  "Please help me!"

"This place is crawling with walkers!" Glenn yelled into my face. I frowned -shaking my head and climbing back onto the fence, staring at Randall's leg in horror. How the fuck am I supposed to get here out of here? "I'm not leaving him," I whispered shakily.

"We can't leave him," Rick agreed.

Hershel grabbed onto Randall's leg, making him scream out in pain. "The fence went clean though. There's no way we can get the leg off in one piece."

"Stop, you're hurting him," I panicked as Hershel shook Randall's leg, making him cry out in pain as Glenn came closer to access the situation. "Guys please," I begged. "Don't make me choose because if I have to I will stay here and die with Randall if I have to."

Glenn looked at me with worry, a scowl on his face as he shook his head. He wouldn't understand. Randall is my blood family. He's all I have left. I have to protect him.

"Shut up or I will shoot you," Rick warned, pointing his gun at Randall.

I slapped his hand, glaring at him. "Don't point that thing at him asshole," I hissed.

"Claire, we need to go," Hershel tried to coax. I shook my head in denial again, climbing over the fence and moving Randall's hair out of his sweaty face.

"Claire," Glenn hissed angrily. Fuck off.

"Randy be quiet okay," I pleaded. "I'm here and I'm not going to leave you."

  "That may be the answer."

"Hershel..." I trailed off. Why won't he at least try to save him? He isn't even trying.

Glenn rushed over to us as Hershel and Rick walked a little away, whispering to each other. "Claire please get back over here," Glenn begged.

"Fuck off," I spat, my hands shakily clutching onto Randall's arm.

"Shut up," Glenn growled, pulling on Randall's leg.

  "Glenn," I sneered.

"Sorry, sorry shut up," he whispered to Randall.

"Rick," I called out quietly. They're wasting time. We could have been and got Randall out by now.

"I don't want to see anymore killing," Hershel said loudly, his hands pointing towards Randall. "But this is cruel."

I shook my head angrily, my voice coming out harsh. "Then fucking help me get him out of here."

"Can't we just take the leg off?" Glenn suggested.

I helped Randall sit up -my eyes gazing down at his leg again. The fence looked pretty wedged into his skin. If we did take it out, he would probably bleed to death. Randall whimpered, shaking his head at Glenn's idea.

"That hatchet still in the car," Rick asked to Glenn.

  "No, not that," I pleaded.

"No no no, don't cut my leg off, please," Randall begged. " Please, not my leg. Claire tell them!"

Rick flicked a small knife open. "Will this cut through the bone?"

"I'll have to sever the ligaments below the kneecap, cut above the tibia. He's going to lose his lower leg. "

I listened to Hershel wide eyed as Randall began to panic. Is he crazy? If you cut his leg off, Randall would be able to get no where. He won't be able to survive in this world.

Hershel took his dress shirt off. "When we get out of here, we're gonna have to find some tinder, cauterize the wound so he doesn't bleed out."

"All right. No choice, hurry up."

"Hershel wait wait," I objected, leaning over Randall protectively. "There's gotta be another way. There's always another way."

"Oh God, oh God," Randall whined.

I flinched as Rick slammed Randall back onto the dumpster, holding him down. "Claire, keep his head still," Rick barked. I nodded, my mind going fuzzy. I placed my head on either side of Randall's head, keeping it firmly in place as he cried. "Claire don't let them do it," he begged.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," I repeated as I focused my eyes on Glenn who was staring at me intently. I didn't have the courage to look down at Randall. I'd let go if I looked at his terrified face so I opted on staring at Glenn instead.

"Hand me that stick," Hershel ordered, coming over to Randall. "Here." Glenn handed him the stick, breaking eye contact with me as Randall thrashed his way out of me and Rick's hold.

Glenn walked over to road, raising his gun as walkers began to appear. "Guys, walkers!"

"Rick," I shouted, gaining his attention. He nodded, throwing me his gun as I jumped back over the fence and to Glenn's side. Glenn pushed me a little behind him, his movements jumpy as the walkers began to make their way over to us. I ignored the ruckus Rick and Hershel were making with Randall, my mind too fuzzy as I tried to focus on the walkers coming over to us. I've never shot a walker with a gun before so I needed to focus.

"Hurry up!" Glenn shouted, raising his gun and shooting at a walker.

I brought Rick's pistol up in my hands, raising it at a decaying walker that dragged its rotting flesh towards me and Glenn. I took a shaky breathe, firing the gun and hitting the walker in the shoulder.

"Fuck," I snarled. I fired three more shots at the walker, each time missing it's head and hitting it's body. Glenn fired next to me, shooting down approaching walkers and taking out the one next to me.

Glenn turned around to Hershel in panic, leaving me shooting at walkers bodies. "Come on, we gotta go! I'm almost out of ammo!" Glenn shouted.

My hands were too shaking to get a shot into a walkers head and I knew I was just wasting bullets now -my shots did slow down the walkers that were getting too close though.

"We don't have much time! Come on, we gotta go!" Glenn yelled, tugging me back by the collar of my shirt.

I huffed in frustration. Why the fuck is he always stopping me from doing something? I ain't like I'm going to go and get myself killed out here.

  "Hershel come on!" Rick hollered.

I spun around, pulling out of Glenn's grasp and rushing over to Randall. "Rick what are we going to do?" I asked in panic. "We gotta get out of here."

"Please don't leave me! "Please, no! Claire please!"

  "Rick," I begged.

I gasped in shock as Rick grabbed Randall's leg -yanking it up in one swift pull and getting Randall's leg out. Randall screamed in agony, Rick pulling him over the fence. "Randall," I whispered breathlessly as he fell to the ground, motionless. He passed out.

"Glenn help me get him in the car, Hershel start the car up."

I rushed to the car, Hershel running to the other side and  starting the car up. I opened the back door, climbing in to the back where Rick and Glenn tossed Randall in carelessly. "Watch it," I hissed.

Glenn ran over to the other side of the car, getting in and forcing me to move into the middle seat, Randall's head in my lap. Rick got in and Hershel sped off, hitting a couple of walkers with the car. I grabbed the bottom of my shirt, tearing some of it off to expose my lower stomach; tying the part I ripped tightly on Randall's wound.

We got him out. We were safe.
