🐺🐺🐺

Elyna Benston combed through her wavy brown hair as she stood in front of her mirror, all ready for the day. Letting her hair down, she clasped her thin necklace with a crescent moon shaped pendant around her neck.

Elyna wore her signature denim jacket that she'd been wearing since the first time they'd come in fashion in the 1970's, over her plain white top and short black skirt. She'd decided to wear long black stockings and black ankle length boots.

She had sewn different colourful patches all over the jean jacket, giving it a very different look all together.
The very jacket was one of the priceless things that Elyna possessed. Each patch had their own story and reflected the nature of its owner.

Elyna stomped down the stairs, as noisily as she can, making sure that Aldric knew about her displeasure about the whole arrangement.
She had refused to talk to him for the whole weekend while they'd wordlessly unpacked their belongings around the house.

It was rather surprising and impressive that Aldric's birth house was still was maintained so flawlessly, even though he hadn't been in this town for the last four-hundred years. Aldric loved his hometown and he had managed to preserve his house in its pristine state even when he was around the world, busy taking care of his hot- headed sister and leading double-lives.

"Be careful, Elyna," Aldric sipped the last drops of his drink, discarding the blood bag in the trashcan, "the stairs are older than you are."

Elyna scoffed and plopped on the couch.
"This is outrageous, okay!" Elyna threw her hand on the couch, "It is the middle of year, I do not need to do this! You are making me the Bella Swan!"

Aldric snorted. "If you hate Twilight that much, why do you always make references from it?"

"I do not hate that story, I hate the girl. I hate how much she is pathetically dependent on the boys."

"We don't need the feminist in you to be awaken in the morning." He handed her favourite AB+ blood in a glass. "You know that we have to blend in, right?"

"No one cares if I quit going to school! You are the one who said that the neighbours are not noisy." She gulped the blood in one go.

"But that doesn't mean that they won't talk," Aldric slipped his wallet in the pocket of his uniform, "and since I'm a Chief Deputy Sheriff, I am supposed to uphold a good example for the civilians. And a young sister who doesn't go to school, doesn't show a good example."

Elyna huffed, "Why can not I put on a hold on schooling for a few centuries? I have done this shit for like one thirty years."

Aldric smiled at his sister, "Blending in, baby sister."

Elyna knew that Aldric was correct. They had to blend in and blend in correctly at that and for that, Elyna Benston had to go high school for the nth time.
But she was fed up of the same repetitive things that she had to do.

Aldric walked up to his white BMW and Elyna slipped into the passenger seat. Elyna hated driving, so Aldric had always driven her to school.

Elyna took in a deep breath and mapped her plan to survive this high school years.

This time again, she would make no friends, stay low, stay out of the spotlight. It's not like Elyna didn't want to make friends; she was a very friendly person, but she saw no point in making friends when she had to leave them again, and never contact them again.

The hardest and the saddest part was when she had to enchant all their memories away of her- she had done that more than once and she hated it with all her heart. So, Elyna stopped making friends all together.

Yet her phone still had the contacts of her friends that she had made ages ago. Even when everyone of them had passed away, she couldn't bring herself in deleting their contact numbers. She even had postal addresses of two of her best friends from the 19th century.

"You know, you should have fun this time," Aldric suggested the gloomy girl, "go to parties, and participate in clubs and make a few friends."

"No!" she snapped.

"Then at least compete for the valedictorian position this time. Do something interesting."

"I want nothing more than to draw unnecessary attention towards me." She mumbled, twisting her amethyst ring in her finger.

Elyna was genetically, really smart girl and after repeating school for almost a hundred year, after reading those same topics repeatedly, she could chant out the whole textbooks by heart.
So, if she could want, she could easily be the valedictorian, but she wouldn't.

Elyna wouldn't do anything that would put her in the spotlight. She couldn't risk the curiosity of some teenagers getting curious of her and doing some digging about her.

"Elyna, do something special this time," Aldric out a comforting hand on her shoulder as they neared the school premises, "Something that will make this town, this school memorable to you even after a thousand years."

Elyna nodded reluctantly, her brilliant hazel eyes looking at the school building with dreaded. Even after going through high school so many times, Elyna still hated the first days.

Elyna hated this. Elyna hated that she aged so slow. She hated that she had been stuck as a sixteen year old for so long. She hated how she had no option but to repeat high school until she aged a bit to start with her college. She had very less option, very less change in her lifestyle and she hated it.

At least Aldric had the option change his job.

Being an unconventional Siren, Elyna had to endure all the trouble that came along with it.

The older vampire noticed her dampening mood and sighed. "Okay, I have an idea. What if you get a part time job somewhere here?"

This caught Elyna's attention. "You? You will let me do part time job?"

Aldric shrugged, "Why not? You're grown up and you can control yourself. And I trust this town, yeah, so you'll be fine."

Elyna smiled and got out of the car, swinging her bag over her shoulder. "I am gonna hold onto that, Aldrich."

"You got it, muffin." The brunette smiled, looking at his sister adoringly. "But on a serious note," he whispered to the girl, "there has been a series of animal attacks here, and recently two murders."

The girl leaned over the car window sill, lowering her voice, "You think it is supernatural?"

"Might be. But you be careful, yeah? Keep your guards up."

"Do not worry, let this week pass; after the initial excitement, I'll become a wallflower again." She tilted her head and bid her brother goodbye and walked towards the school.

Thanks to her over-inquisitiveness and also because of her awkwardness in front of new people, she had already printed a blueprint of the school and studied it over the weekend so that neither she can get lost in the massive school nor she has to ask anyone for help.

So, Elyna trotted to the Principal's Office with ease and no hesitation at all.

The door to the office was shut but Elyna could head sharp footsteps of a person pacing the room.

"Chris, I don't want to think that you are having pity for those who are responsible for your sister." A man's voice, mid- sixties said.
From the prolonged pause in the conversation, Elyna knew that he was on the phone.

"People will not ask questions. I've made sure of it. My sources spread wide. You just make sure that your daughter is ready for it."

Hoping that the exceedingly weird conversation had ended, the brunette knocked on the door. "Come in."

Just as she guessed, she found a man in his mid-sixties with receded hairline in a smart brown suit. Upon seeing the new girl, he smiled.

"You must be Elyna Benston, right? The new admission?"

Elyna nodded, her fingernails tapping on her legs. Her eyes drifted towards the thin wooden name card on the table.

Mr. Gerard Argent

"So, Elyna, tell me from where you'd come from?"

Elyna furrowed her eyebrows; she was hundred percent sure that Aldric had already told the administration about everything they needed to know and every information about her previous school.

Why is he asking me this, she thought.
"Well, I came from London, where my brother was stationed in the police force."

"London? Your accent doesn't sound much..." he trailed off, his gaze making the girl uncomfortable.

"I'm from Norway and I had moved to many places, so my accent is mixed." No idea why he was asking her about it though, she wondered.

"Ah!" Gerard smiled and handed the girl, her timetable and the list of subjects that she will be taking this year.

She smiled as she read through the list. Leave it to Aldric to somehow k innow what she wants.

Apart from the usual compulsory subjects, she had taken AP Art and Fashion Designing. Elyna always had an interest in fashion industry and she really felt happy that Aldric remembered to somehow have the AP classes for her.

Elyna realised that Aldric really wanted her to like her stay in his hometown.
"I've notified every teacher about you and they'll look to it that you are updated with all the work done so far," Gerard said, "next few weeks might be tough for you; trying to keep up with all the missed assignments and tests."

Elyna wouldn't have problem with that. She had learnt all the topics of high school education, by heart.
She just needed to remind herself to make some mistakes here and there in her tests, so that she doesn't get a perfect score.

"I'd already covered most of the topics back in my previous school, so it won't be much of a problem for me to sit on these tests." Elyna said.

"That's the positive attitude that youngsters are missing now a days," he smiled, "I'll take you to your first class, once the bell has rung, so that I can show you to your locker too."

🌊🌊

Elyna sat in her history class, at the back of the class, just like she always preferred.
Her hand moved swiftly on the half-filled sketchbook, graphite tinting the side of her palms. She kept weary eye on the teacher as she drew.

She didn't miss the glances that some students gave to her. Elyna knew that it was only for a few days and they'll be soon over her.

A few students did come to talk to her, but she purposefully gave them dry and disinterested replies that they soon left.

Elyna could clearly hear them whispering about her amongst themselves and some had even branded her as a self-absorbed bitch.

Elyna had rolled her eyes; no matter where she goes, students and their judgemental views, always remain the same for those who are different from the crowd.

Elyna was drawing the skyline of her previous home as she saw it on a rainy day.
As much as she loved that it didn't rain much in Beacon Hills and it was pleasantly warm in here, she still missed London's hustle-bustle and it's Victorian styled alleys.

The bell soon rang, signalling for the break and Elyna was quick to gather her stationary and leave the class, before she had to hear any more bitching about her.

🌊🌊

The cafeteria was buzzing with the chatter of the students while Elyna Benston had found herself an empty spot at the back of the cafeteria.

Occasionally sipping on her Capri Sun tetra pack which actually had her favourite AB +ve blood, she carried on with her drawing, with her earphones plugged into her ears.

Elyna intentionally kept the volume low, so that she could hear everything that is going on around her, while the music just acted as a background to the clamour in the cafeteria.

She hated if she couldn't remain alert; she didn't want anyone sneaking in on her.

She was humming to a tune when a particularly absurd conversation caught her attention. She zeroed her hearing capability too the group, sitting in the middle of the cafeteria.

A shaggy haired boy, a buzz cut boy and a curly haired brunette are leaning over the table, taking in hushed whispers.

"They have killed three of them last night." The girl said.

"What? Just like that?" the shaggy haired boy gasped in surprise.

"Yeah. Apparently Gerard wants to take revenge for Kate. He's very furious at dad that he didn't do anything to save her."

"But he did. He tried to, but Peter was too strong."

The brunette shook her head, looking at the ignored lunch in front of her. "He didn't. He could have saved her if he wanted. He told me that himself. Dad wanted to save Kate, but he realised that she will never have any ounce of regret of what she did. And...and Peter was right to be ballistic for revenge and.."

"It doesn't matter," the shaggy haired boy puts his hand over the girl's, stopping her, " we have to focus on different thing."

"Like how the sourwolf is having a serious Alpha-titude problems." The buzz cut spoke for the first time.

Elyna raised her eyebrows. Sourwolf? Alpha-titude? Elyna thought that it sounded eerily supernatural.

It looked like Elyna had found the epicentre of the interesting things of Beacon Hills.

"He turned Isaac Lahey and now the police have taken him for questioning for the murder."

"And it's full moon tonight." The shaggy haired boy said.

"And they need me to be there. They want to hunt more wolves."

"I don't want that Lahey to go nuts and slaughter the whole police station." The buzz cut looked worriedly to the shaggy haired boy.

"Don't worry, Stiles, we'll get him out before anything happens." The shaggy haired boy assured Stiles.

"I know that Gerard would want to hunt Isaac." The girl said.

Gerard? As in Gerard Argent the Principal? Elyna wondered.

"So, we've got to get him out before the Hunters come." shaggy haired boy said determinately.

"Will that mean that I have to take Derek with me?" Stiles whined. Shaggy haired and curly hair nodded, making the buzz cut boy slump down on his seat.

"So, Scott, I'll go back home and try to get some information for you." The girl said, looking at the shaggy haired boy.

"I'll try to ask Jackson about Isaac and his dad." Scott said.

"And I have to go to detention." Stiles glared at Scott.

Scott chuckled nervously."Come on, Stiles, don't be mad." He pushed his plate of curly fries to the boy.
"Take this."
Stiles looked at the plate of fries almost enticingly before shaking his head. "You can't win me over with some food."

Scott pushed the plate towards him more with a smirk and Stiles leaned back, with a face that clearly shows that he's struggling.

"It's not just 'some food' buddy, it's your favourite, curly fries. You sure you don't want it?"

Stiles gulped, and tried his hardest to restrain himself.

"I'm gonna have it if you won't," the curly haired brunette smiled at Stiles teasingly.

"I guess Stiles isn't up for some curly fries, Allison." Scott emphasised on the word 'curly fries' as pushed the plate slightly towards Allison.

"Oh, fuck off," Stiles spat and grabbed the plate. He shoved handful of fries in his mouth as Scott and Allison laughed. Stiles scoffed at the pair but didn't say anything.

He couldn't say anything even if he wanted to, his mouth was overflowing with the fries.

"I gotta go and check on Lydia," Allison smiled at the two boys and left the table.

The boys started to talk about classes and teachers and Elyna stopped eavesdropping on them.

Now, here's something that is gonna be exciting for Elyna. Werewolves, Hunters, Murders.
