y/n's pov:
i laugh with my friends, clutching my textbooks and notes as we walked to our dorms. we were done with classes for the day. "y/n! you know what tomorrow is?"
"uh, october 14th?" i reply, not knowing why she mentioned that.
"yes, but october 14th is national give your crush a hug day!" (it actually is and my friend told me to give my crush a hug)
"yeah there's no way in hell i'd do that. he just- i don't know! what if he judges me?" i wasn't a very confident person and i was trying to build it up, but if i do this and it goes wrong, all that confidence i built up would just crash down.
"come on! when are you going to believe me? i keep telling you that he's looking at you during class whenever you aren't." she nudged me slightly.
i sigh. maybe this could work out. draco might just hug me back and it could bring momentum onto what i want to happen. "i don't know."
"just think about it y/n/n. we know you wanna!" my other friend piped in.
"okay...but i don't think it's gonna happen."

the next morning, during potions, i felt a surge of random confidence. maybe i should do this. you can do this y/n. you can do this!
after class was over, i walk up to draco, who was surprisingly alone. crabbe and goyle were no where to be seen. "h-heyyy draco. just thought you might need a hug." i quickly wrapped him up in a hug. my eyes widen in shock when i realized what i had done. "shit." i mutter to myself before pulling away. "s-sorry. i- uh, i'm gonna go." my voice slowly faded away into a soft whisper as i backed up. draco watched me intently with curious eyes, most likely wondering why i had done that.
as soon as i turned and started walking, draco yelled, "wait! y/n!"
i turn only to be enveloped in his arms. ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod this is actually happening! am i dreaming?
somehow, the hug made my confidence come back (because we all know i'm the baddest bitch of them all) "would you like to go on a date sometime?"
draco pulled away to look at me. "would this answer your question?" he asked before attaching his lips to mine, letting them move in synch. it was an oddly perfect kiss...in snape's potions classroom.
when he pulled away, he whispered "yes of course. just let me know whenever you want to go on a date." he smiled before walking off, greeting his friend blaise with one of those guy handshakes or whatever (idk what they're called but this one guy did that to me once and it was so weird)
oh. my. god! i look at my friends who smirked at me and wiggled their eyebrows. "yes girl! go get your mans!" one of them yelled before grabbing me in a hug. "she's all grown up now." f/n wiped away a fake tear, which made me laugh even more.
ok so my friend literally said to me october 14th is national give your crush a hug day and idk should i hug him or not? because we're not really friends so idk it would be kinda weird.
but uh what did you guys think of this little random idea that popped up in my head?
