"Why didn't you tell them everything?" Jaemin brings up after Jeno closes the door as his two friends took their leave.
The younger boy was now eating from across the table, enjoying the food he quickly made while Bongsik was at the end of the said table, laying down as she waits for them.
Mark and Haechan decided to go home after the raven haired boy's mom called him two times asking where he is since it's already dinner time.
However, they did promise that whatever happened and whatever things the couple told them about will forever be kept private.
And Jeno knows that. Despite his protective friends being a tad bit wary about this whole... Thing, they still have some sense of decency.
Especially when Jaemin is Jeno's soulmate. The two boys know they can never, ever change that.
"It is what it is." Mark had told them earlier, a small smile on his face.
After they talked more about it, the more Jeno's friends began to realize that– there's nothing to do to change it.
And soon enough, they also decided that they should just respect it and even warm up to it.
More like warm up to Na Jaemin, but they wouldn't tell Jeno that.
They had shook hands before leaving Jeno's apartment to go home and rest, maybe have time to process all of this and get use to it.
"Tell them what?" Jeno tilts his head to the side, "I did though..." He mumbles at the end, getting confused of what his boyfriend is talking about.
For the majority of that conversation, Jeno took the responsibility to explain to his friends instead of Jaemin– like the latter would actually tell them properly since, he'll probably just make them more confused.
"About my part." Jaemin briefly replies, sitting on his seat across from Jeno who's almost finished with his food.
"The royal vampire thing?" Jeno asks for confirmation, he earns a small hum to which he sighs at. "Because I don't want to blurt something out to them, especially when it's not even about me."
"You blurted out that I was a vampire." The vampire prince remarks at.
Clicking his tongue, he purses his lips and shakes his head. "Because it was already obvious now that they saw us like that, and it's slightly different, Jaemin hyung."
"I expected for you to tell them, since you were leading the whole conversation earlier." Jaemin comments.
Grunting, Jeno takes a sip of his lemon juice and replies with, "because you'll just make them more confused, hyung, no offense." He pauses before adding, "I wanted you to tell them, anyway."
"Because?" Jaemin leans in a little, skeptical of his boyfriend.
Said boyfriend huffs in annoyance, "because obviously it's your side to tell, and plus, I didn't tell them that because we didn't plan that part out."
"We talked about us telling them about these, but I wasn't sure if you wanted them to know about you being a prince as well right away, so I didn't mention it." Jeno explains.
"They walked in on us, unexpectedly. Clearly we weren't prepared on how to actually tell them, but we couldn't avoid it either." He rubs his face at the end.
"Oh my goodness, this is a mess." Murmuring behind his palms as Jaemin heaves a sigh before standing up.
He silently grabs Jeno's dirty dishes and walks over to the sink, leaving the human boy at the table pondering in thought.
While doing his duty, he could hear his boyfriend occasionally letting out a few sounds whenever his mind is thinking too much.
Too much to handle. He also looks over to his shoulder to see Bongsik taking care of it, crawling over to her owner and meowing at him, asking for his attention.
It was as easy as that, soon enough, Jeno was playing with Bongsik's fur as he was spacing off, the said cat was whispering some reassuring words to him while at it.
As much as Jaemin is a little jealous of the little feline, he's atleast grateful that Bongsik is there for them anyway. Especially to Jeno, when Jaemin is not there.
As soon as he finishes washing the dishes, he turns around to see Jeno already standing there waiting for him.
"Pup?"
Without replying, Jeno quietly and sluggishly walks over to him and hugs him tightly, burying his face into Jaemin's broad chest.
The vampire prince instantly hugs back, planting a small kiss on his boyfriend's crown. "I'm sorry, Jaemin hyung." Jeno mumbled against his chest.
"For what, pup?" Jaemin asks, confused as to why the human boy is suddenly apologizing to him.
"This whole situation is such a mess and I– I didn't even ask if– urgh, this is a lot to handle." Jeno blabbers to him.
Jaemin ends up chuckling at the younger boy, he shakes his head tilts Jeno's chin up to face him properly. "Stop it, none of this is bad nor your fault, your friends told you didn't they?"
"They don't mind... Just... Still trying to warm up to it more and all." Jeno replies, thinking back to his friends giving him a smile when they came to realize that this is how their life and relationship will be.
Which is all fine. They're not going to destroy Jeno's happiness.
It's just their protective side getting the best of them, besides, Haechan even admitted he finds it cool that Jeno's surrounded with these cool supernatural shit.
"Exactly. So don't worry about it, not everything will be easy and come out smoothly." Jaemin reassures him, caressing his waist to make him feel more relaxed.
Soon enough, Jeno gave a knowing look at Jaemin who sighed back with a strict look of his own. "What now, pup?"
"Can we sleep together?" Jeno calmly asks. Yet Jaemin can see the hope filling in his eyes.
"What?" The vampire prince pulls away a little puzzled and flustered at the same time.
"Let's sleep together, on my bed." Jeno replies more clearly this time, he then wraps his arms around his boyfriend's neck.
"But I have my bean bag." Jaemin said, nonchalantly.
"That's not the point, Jaemin hyung!" Jeno whines and slightly shakes them back and forth, their noses almost touching while at it.
"Then why are we sharing the bed tonight?" Jeno rolls his eyes at his boyfriend who's too calm and oblivious despite being a scary (hot) vampire prince.
"Why can't we?"
"Because–"
"Come on, hyung~" Jeno whines again, a pout forming on his lips. "I really wanna cuddle with you to sleep." He emphasizes, leaning in to Jaemin's ear as he whispers:
"Be in your big strong arms, where I belong." He pauses to kiss Jaemin's earlobe, "don't you want that?" Which he receives a groan from Jaemin followed by a small squeeze on his waist.
"My dear soulmate, maybe I was a little bit bratty and desperate tonight... Maybe."
"Pup, don't do that."
