Two days after the sludge villain incident, the truth about All Might and his Quirk called One for All. All Might told us that he was looking for his successor, his power, One for all, was passed on to him like a sacred torch.
One person cultivates the power and passes it on to another person, who also cultivates it and passes it on. All Might choses Midoriya by reason of him being heroic back at the incident.
And so began 10 months of training before the UA exam. The same training methods that my mentors used to train me before.
There are also some times I visit Izuku and All Might at the beach.
"Carry that to the park entrance! Put it in the truck!" All Might shouts as Izuku struggled pulling a shoe locker.
"Izuku needs to train his body in order to inherit One for all?" I asked All Might beside me, watching the poor broccoli boy.
"That's right. Young Midoriya isn't a proper vessel yet, his unprepared body cannot fully inherit One for all fully." All Might explained.
"I see."
4 months left before the UA exam, I start noticing that Izuku is changing as well, he must working very hard, becoming All Might's successor and inheriting One for All must've have encourage him.
I proceeded to focus on sword skill revision and lastly mastering other breathing styles.
It has been a while since the last I've been able to get my body into fighting shape.

Today was UA High school entrance exam, Midoriya jogged towards the entrance of UA.
"I made it." Midoriya panted as he walked forward, he remembered how he received All Might's power. "I swallowed the hair, but did I really receive his power?" he mumbled with his hand covering his mouth.
"Outta my way, Deku!" Midoriya turned and saw his childhood friend.
"Kacchan!"
"Don't stand in front of me. I'll kill you."
"M-Morning. L-Let's both do our best." Midoriya akwardly greets Bakugou ignoring the broccoli boy by walking pass him. Midoriya sighed.
"He completely ignore you there huh?" Midoriya glanced at the voice and was dumbfounded. Y/n has a slight muscular stature and pale complexion, and his extended hair were tied back in low messy ponytail at the base of his neck.
"Whoa Y/n. You look different than last time, and your hair got longer." Midoriya said.
"So do you. Well, except for the hair."
As they were about to take a step, Midoriya trips forward and fall.
"This is it."
But Midoriya suddenly floated. Y/n glanced at the person beside Midoriya. It was a girl with brown bobbed hair with baby bangs and two longer parts of hair on the side of her face. Her eyes was warm brown and she has small, eyebrows and a permanent blush on her cheeks.
"Are you all right?" She asked before she helped Midoriya set foot on the ground. "It's my quirk. Sorry for using it without asking first. But it'd be bad luck if you fell, right?"
"Yeah. Thanks for preventing him from falling to his embarrassment" Y/n said. The girl smiled at them.
"Let's do our best. See ya!" She said before leaving.
Y/n step forward but stopped when Midoriya was still standing in the same spot.
"I talked to a girl!" He says, with gleams in his eyes.
"But you didn't even speak to her."

Students of various junior highschools gathered in a large room for orientation. A tall, slim man with long blond hair, which he wears spiked upwards in a huge tuft behind his head, the voice hero: Present Mic, walks onto the stage.
"For all you examinee listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today! Everybody say "hey"!"
Silence
"What a refined response. Then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam! Are you ready? Yeah!" Present Mic shouted as he was once again met by silence.
"It's the Voice hero, Present Mic! Wow...!" Midoriya mumbles, Y/n just stared at his broccoli friend continue to mumbles until Bakugou told him to shut up.
"As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting ten minute mock urban battles after this! You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?" Present Mic explained, the students checked out their exam ticket while Present Mic shouts 'Okay!'.
"In other words, they won't let you work with your friends, huh?" Bakugou stated.
"Y-You're right. Even though our examinee numbers are consecutive, we're assigned to different battle centers." Midoriya says, turning to Y/n, "What is your battle center, Y/n?"
"Battle center E." Y/n replied then Present Mic continues.
"Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points for each of them based on their level of difficulty. Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your Quirks to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains. Of course, attacking other examinees and any other unheroic actions are prohibited!" Present Mic finished. Suddenly, someone, a stands up and announced his complaints about how there three enemies instead of four like in the printout.
"If that is a misprint, then U.A., the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake. We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes." He then turns to Midoriya. "In addition, you over there with the curly hair, you've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting." He scolds, Midoriya covered his mouth and apologized before the dark blue haired boy sits down.
"The fourth type of villain is worth zero points. That guy's an obstacle, so to speak. There's one in every battle center. An obstacle that will go crazy in narrow spaces. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to defeat it either." Y/n thought carefully about what Present Mic said. "I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it."
After the voice hero's explanation, he recites a quote "A true hero is someone who overcomes life's misfortunes." by Napoleon Bonaparte before dismissing the students.
"Izuku, do your best in the practical exam." Y/n said.
"Yes. You too as well, Y/n"
"Also, don't forget what you did last 10 months, fighting villains isn't the heroes only job." Y/n advised before leaving his broccoli friend confused.
After that, the examinees were taken to their respective battle center areas, Y/n stood far away from the others while waiting for the practical exam to start. Y/n wears a white tracksuit, with his nichirin blade on his side.
"That guy, isn't he with the one who was about to trip in front of the school gates?"
"They had the same uniform before so they must have know each other."
"Bet he's the same as the green haired boy who winced after being called out."
"We have two less rival to worry about."
they kept whispering about the black haired boy, until Present Mic spoke.
"Okay, start!" The examinees except Y/n saw Present Mic standing on top of the structure. "What's wrong? There are no countdown in real fights!"
Y/n dashed towards the gate onto the city, the others followed as well.
"Time to see the result of my training." Y/n said to himself, he halted when a two-pointer came out of the alleyway.
"Target acquired."
Y/n draws his nichirin blade, unsheathing it and concentrated on his breathing. The robot launches itself at the young swordsman who leaps in the air.
"Water Breathing, second form: Water wheel"
(Mizu no kokyū, Ni no kata: Mizu Guruma)
Y/n vertically spins forward in the air while releasing a flowing attack at the robot in a circular motion. Then he saw numerous of one to three pointer robots coming towards him.
"Water Breathing, First Form: Water Surface Slash"
(Mizu no kokyū, Ichi no kata: Minamo Giri)
Y/n single concentrated slash the robots. One robot was about to pound Y/n, but instead it got clawed by a shadowed avian form.
Y/n followed the shadow and saw the person with an avian head.
"Thanks." Y/n says as the avian person nodded.
"Watch your back." after that, several robots appeared. "Dark shadow!"
"Right!" the shadow charges towards the robots and pound them. Y/n sprint towards the incoming robots.
"Water Breathing, Fourth Form: Striking Tide"
(Mizu no kokyū, Shi no kata: Uchishio)
Y/n makes multiple consecutive slashes the robots while twisting their body and sword in a flowing fashion to deliver multiple blows simultaneously. Y/n panted as he glanced at the shattered robot parts. "That makes twenty-one." Y/n said before sprinting towards a group of robots. "I wonder how Midoriya is doing right now."

"That's thirty-two!"
"That one's mine! Don't take it!"
"It's first-come, first-served!"
Midoriya watched as the applicants destroy every robots. "The number of enemies are decreasing fast! Oh no!"

Inside that dark room the only light was a large screen in front of the UA teachers as they watch each of the examinees.
"In this practical exam, the examinees have not been informed of the number of villains or their locations. They have a limited amount of time in a vast area. They have to draw the villains out from there."
"Information gathering ability to understand the situation before anyone else." A muscular young man with six arms, all attached to each other by a web of skin showed in the screen.
"Mobility that can be used in many different circumstances." The familiar dark blue haired boy showed in the screen as well
"Discernment to be able to stay calm in any situation." a young man with his face appears rather feminine stared into the camera.
"And pure combat ability." The screen showed the Bakugou surrounded by destroyed robots and Y/n slicing the robots into pieces.
All Might watched as Y/n performed another one of his swordsmanship technique before returning to Midoriya.
"These basic abilities need to keep the peace in the streets are turned into points in this test."
"Doesn't this year's group look promising?" A feminine voice asked.
"Well, we can't know for sure yet. Their true test is still to come." A manlike voice said before pressing a button.
Back in the Battle center areas, the ground trembled, startling the examinees, Y/n found a giant robot that worth zero points before him, he remembered what Present Mic told them.
"I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it."
"It's the zero pointer. We should avoid it." The avian person says to Y/n.
The zero point robot begin destroying buildings as the examinees start running away, Y/n's eyes widen as he caught a sight of other examinees trapped, the robot approaches them.
"Wait! There's people got injured! We can't leave them!" Y/n shouts before sprinting, a debris fall from the building.
"Water Breathing, Fourth Form: Striking Tide"
(Mizu no kokyū, Shi no kata: Uchishio)
Y/n slashes the debris that was about to fall onto the examinees.
"Go! Fall back for now!" he told them which they did. Y/n knelt down to the injured one.
"Avian friend! Take this one away from here hurry!" The avian person nodded and command his shadow to carry the injured person and left.
Y/n saw a girl got her leg stuck from the debris, he quickly went to her.
"Don't worry, I'll lift then get your leg out." The girl nodded as Y/n begin to lift the debris, when the girl's leg got free, he let go of the rock and carried the girl in bridal style, dashing away from the robot. Y/n sets the girl down and turns to the robot.
He closes his eyes, withdrew one leg back and concentrated on his breathing. He unsheathed his blade.
"Thunder Breathing, first form: Thunderclap and Flash"
(Kaminari no kokyū, Ichi no kata: Hekireki Issen)
Y/n dashes forward at blinding speeds, jumping through the robot, slicing each of the robot's parts until he reached the head and decapitates it.
"Six Fold"
(Rokuren)
The robot's detached parts explodedin mid air. Y/n heard an explosion from Battle center B as landed safely.
'I finally did a Thunder breathing.' I thought.
"Time's up!!!" Present Mic shouted. Y/n went straight to the girl he helped, she has an earphone jack hanging each of her ears, he knelt down and looked worriedly at the girl.
"Are you alright?" Y/n asked, the girl nodded.
"Yeah. Thanks for saving me. I'm Jirou Kyoka." The girl smiled.
"Tomioka Y/n. Nice to meet you Jirou-san."
Those who participated in the exam were told to return to the gates, Y/n helped the girl to stand before returning to the gates.

One week later,
"Y/n." I stopped swinging my wooden sword and looked at my mother, she was holding a white envelope smiling. "You're letter is here."
I grab the letter from my mother and sat down on the couch, I stared at the envelope, taking a deep breath before opening it. I took the paper out and a device, placing it the table, pressing the button and a hologram of All Might appeared.
"I AM HERE AS A PROJECTION!" All Might shouted as I blinked and my mother giggled.
"Congratulations Young Tomioka, you've passed on the written exam, and as for your practical, you were amazing young man! You demolished and earned 57 villain points, and 60 rescue points,
you saved the other participants like a hero would do, giving you a total 117 points! Young Tomioka, Welcome to the hero academia." My eyes widened as my mother smiled proudly at me, she approached me and hugged me.
"As for your sword, they allowed you to use it, seeing your swordsman skill impressed them." All Might added before the hologram turned off.
"You're hero life is about to begin."
