"Y/N! Wake the hell up, mama!" Camila's voice screamed as she nudged me awake.
I opened my eyes to see a relieved girlfriend. "What do you want?"
She smiled, "Get up and get dressed. We are about to take Sofi to school. You promised, 'member?" I groaned feeling my side stretch to unholy lengths as I sat up on the bed. My Jansport was by my side of the bed and I reached for it to grab my Zoloft. Camila saw what I was reaching for and snatched it from me quickly. "What the fuck do you think you're doing? You're not gonna get high and drive through the streets of Miami with my sister in the backseat."
I rolled my eyes and smirked, "I'm taking my anti-depressants. They don't get me high, they just keep me in a somewhat good mood. And I really need it today since that fuck boy will be here."
She searched the front pocket of the bag to find the bottle of Zoloft and give me my dose. "Fine. I want you to be happy."
"Thanks Babe." I smiled as she kissed my forehead before she walked into the bathroom.
I got up from the bed and was happy that my side was beginning to feel better, but not by much. It was still extremely painful, but I could feel the healing process start. I grabbed a pair of blue jeans and the 1975 crew neck that Lauren gave me the other day. Then I slipped on a pair of Mila's black Chuck Taylor's before walking to the bathroom to knock on the door. "Mila, are you taking a shit? I need to put make up on."
The door automatically opened and Camila had a huge smile on her face because she was trying to control her laughter, "No, I'm putting my makeup on."
"You're not the one that needs it." I said to her as I grabbed my bag from the counter to open it and grab the foundation and concealer.
"Shut up, I do need it. If I don't wear it, the Paps will get a shitty pic of me. I need the HD candids to be kind of attractive." She joked putting the mascara on her beautiful, long eyelashes. They could make me break at the drop of a hat when she would bat them at me.
"Whatever you say, babe. But you don't need any help. I can promise you that. You're extremely beautiful." I grabbed the eye liner and mascara from her and hurried to finish to follow her out of the room.
Camila was waiting by the stairs for me with an extended hand. "How's your side feel?"
I shrugged, "Not the best." I cupped her hand and walked down the stairs connected to her. "Remind me before I leave to Lauren's to change my bandages though, okay?"
I looked over to Camila who was giving me puppy dog eyes, "Please don't leave me here."
I gave her a half smile, "I have to. But I'll only be like 4 miles away from you. It's better than being a 900 miles away." She nodded then walked in the living room to retrieve Sofi and the escalade keys. Sofi gave me a high five then grabbed my hand to hold it. "Morning sunshine." I said to the small girl as I gave her a little kiss on the top of her head.
"I don't wanna go to school. Can we ditch?" Sofi suggested with the most serious face I've ever seen.
I laughed, "Woah there, kid. I just said good morning and you already want to ditch?" She nodded. "How do you know what ditching even is?" I asked. Camila walked out with the keys and Sofia pointed at her. "Oh, yeah. Don't be your sister."
"What are you two talking about? Why can't she be me?" Camila had a mockingly sad tone of voice.
I smiled, "Because you're a bad influence. Your sister wants to ditch school like you."
"Sofia, you weren't supposed to tell anyone about that." Camila looked into her younger sisters eyes. Sofi just shrugged, ran out to the car, climbed in the back seat and closed the door. Before I could open my door, Mila grabbed my arm, "Should we tell Sofi about us now?"
I shrugged, "Well, she didn't keep a ditching secret from me, can she keep this from Austin?"
"I don't know, but my parents really insisted we tell her today when they woke me up. Maybe they can keep her from saying something." Mila walked to the other side of the car and got into the passanger seat.
I got into the drivers and started the Escalade. I looked back to see Sofia already buckled up and ready. "You wanna go get breakfast?" She nodded with a smile plastered on her face.
I began to back out of the driveway to get on the road as Mila started playing some music. I'm pretty sure it was Ariana Grande, but I'm not too sure. I glanced over at her to see her really listening to the music. I snapped my fingers to bring her back to reality, and she whined at me "Whaaaat?"
"What did you skip school for anyways?" I asked with a mischievous smile.
She shrugged and put her phone in the cup holder. "I wanted the newest Harry Potter book, and it was being put out that day. My mom was going to make me wait a week, but I couldn't. So, I ditched. I got away with it because I was supposed to be going on a field trip and I was gonna be absent from classes anyways."
"Badass Mila. I like the sound of that." I gave her a sweet smirk.
Camila swatted my arm harshly making me jump, "Well, I don't. My little sister is in the backseat. Don't curse."
I glanced up in the rear view mirror to see Sofi passed out. I giggled, "Mila, she can't hear us."
Mila turned around to cover her smile. She loved seeing Sofi sleep. The peacefulness about it made her feel content. I could understand where she was coming from because I felt the same way about when she was asleep, too.
I stopped at the nearest McDonalds and tapped on Sofia's leg to wake her up, "Morning again, sunshine. Let's go eat."
She yawned as she unbuckled her seat belt and got out of the car to wait for Camila to get out and hold her hand. Camila looked at me with a smile, "We'll tell her in there. Right?"
I nodded as we entered the establishment and started to order food. I'm not one for McDonalds food, but I do really love their chocolate chip frappes. They are more sugar than coffee, and that's amazing.
Sofia already had a booth for us once I got the food tray and brought it over to both her and Mila. I just noticed what Camila was wearing. A plaid skirt and white fitted, button up. She looked like a school girl and it almost killed me. What would've made it better would be if she wore a bow, but my SnapBack was hot enough.
I grabbed my frappe before Mila could because she liked to drink all of it in one sip. She frowned, but grabbed her hash browns, breakfast sandwich (not too sure which one because she always got a different one), and water then started to devour it. She waited to eat her hash brown, and I knew why. She wanted something to go to if the conversation we were about to have got awkward at any point.
"Sofi, we need to talk to you about something." Camila spoke to her sister breaking the silence that was just created while they were feasting on their breakfast. Sofia gave us a confused look and kept silent as she kept eating her food. Camila swiveled her body towards Sofi to give her the full attention she needed. "You're gonna keep this a complete secret, alright? Even from your friends. You have to promise. Okay?" Sofi nodded. "You know how I said I'm dating Austin?"
"I guess so." Sofi replied with a full mouth of food to annoy Camila. I smirked a little, but it didn't really
bother Camila as much as it usually
would.
Camila was much more nervous telling Sofia about this than she was her parents. I'm guessing it's because her sister's opinion of her means so much. "Well, I'm not really. I have to pretend I am for certain reasons I can't explain. The good news is that I'm dating someone you know and like." Sofi was quiet. I could tell she was trying to fully process the confusing information.
"Who?"
"I'm dating y/n." Camila replied, her voice shaking a little.
Sofi didn't look surprised at all. In fact, she was smirking, "I could kinda tell, Mila."
"What?!" Camila screeched then noticed how loud she was getting.
Sofia laughed taking another bite of food then swallowing it. "You act the way a girl acts with a boy when she likes him. I don't understand the whole dating thing with two girls. I do with a girl and a guy. But I'm happier to know you are dating someone I think is cool."
Camila was shocked for the wrong reasons, "What do you mean you understand what happens between a girl and a guy?"
I gave Mila a 'calm the fuck down' look, but she didn't see me. Sofi blushed and slouched down in the booth, "My friend Michelle told me the story."
I could help but laugh a little. "What did she tell you, Sof?" I asked so excited to make Camila freak out.
Sofi took a sip of her orange juice and smiled, "She said guys and girls have sex. Like they each have a part and the guys' part goes into the girls'. Then, if they are lucky, they have a baby."
Camila was almost about to scream because of the things Sofi was letting spill from her mouth, "You're not lucky. Don't do that, Sofi. You shouldn't know about this. Not at your age."
Sofi didn't seem fazed by Camila's reaction. Which was extremely priceless. I was about to start cracking up, "So, how do two girls have sex?" Sofi asked nonchalantly.
I had tears coming from my eyes trying to suppress my laughter. Camila gave me a death glare, "You don't need to know that, Sofi."
"I can't breathe. This is the best moment of my life." I snorted seeing Camila's face blush a little yet stay cold.
"I'm glad you're having fun." Camila retorted to me taking a sip of her water. Camila looked back to Sofi, "Listen, Austin is here and I need you to pretend I'm still dating him. And remember you can't tell anyone. Not even our family. I'm trusting you."
She frowned, "No. I don't wanna pretend I like him. I like that you and y/n are dating. And what about mom and dad?"
"Stop being so hard headed, Sof. Mom and Dad are the only ones who know. This is a our little secret." Camila told her sister while eating her hash brown. There's those words again. 'Our Little Secret'. The original story behind those words made me cringe a little. I only liked to think about that story when I was really wasted because I felt numb to the pain.
I looked at Sofi with a caring smile, "Listen, baby girl. I don't like it just as much as you do. But you want your sister to be successful and happy, right?" Sofi nodded. "Exactly. That's why we have to wait a little bit longer. Soon, Austin will be gone, but until then we have to play pretend. Okay?" She smiled and I gave her a hug to pull her close and whisper quietly in her ear, "Watch Camila and Austin for me. Okay?"
I pulled away and Sofia smiled as if to say 'I got you'.

--

We decided to leave so we'd be able
to get Sofi to school on time. Once she was out of the car, Camila grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "Why does she listen to you and not me?"
I smirked, "It's because, like me, she likes to freak you out and make you squirm because your reactions are great."
She scoffed, "She's already had the sex talk. She's too young, but she's growing up so fast. It sucks. I'm not able to watch her grow up. I should've been the one to ruin her childhood out look on life and told her about the birds and the bees."
"Sex, Mila. It's sex. Not a princess story." I retorted turning into the neighborhood.
Once we were in the driveway, Camila turned to me, "It's not just sex, y/n. It's love. It's making love. Even when it's a quickie, it means a lot. You were my first kiss, and you were my first time. My first love. I don't want her to think sex means nothing. I want her to grow up and wait for her Prince Charming or Princess Charming before she gives everything away, like me."
"You have to let her make her own decisions, Camz. I know you don't like it, but she's not you. Although, she's strikingly similar, she has to make mistakes to learn. You can't prevent every little thing she does when she grows up." I admitted looking deep into her brown orbs and getting a little lost.
"Can't I at least try?" She begged.
I shook my head, "No, babe. Give her space to grow. And I'm sure that you knew about the whole sex thing when you were her age."
She smiled, "Yeah, but I thought it was weird and gross and refused to think about it."
I raised my eyebrow to her, "Do you think it's so gross every time I make you come?"
She giggled, "Obviously not. I think it's the best thing ever. That's what I want Sofia to think."
"That's really weird, Camila." I joked and Camila stared me down.
"Don't be so morbid, love."
Camila kissed my lips and we began to move our lips to a simple rhythm. I knew this would be one of the last times we'd get to kiss for a while. Camila had to pull herself away. There were times when she could control herself when we started making out intensely, but most of the time she was very heated and got lost. "God, I don't want you to leave." Camila whispered as her face was almost inches away from mine.
I nodded, "I know, but I have no energy to fight about this. Okay?"
She half smiled trying to cheer herself up, "Yeah. Okay. Do you want me to help you pack?"
"That'd be lovely. Can you help me with my bandages, too?"
"Of course, but don't get mad if I cry." Camila admitted.
We walked into the house hurried
up the stairs just in case Austin was awake. We locked the door and I pulled my crew neck off to reveal the white bandages that had a few spots of blood on them. I'm guess it's just left over from the surgery.
Camila walked out if the bathroom with the bandage bag she made in Houston. "Woah, babe. Your shirt is already off? Someone's a little excited." A small giggle was caught in the back of her throat.
"Shut up and help me." I laid on the bed as Camila slowly trekked to my side. Her fingers carefully peeled the outer layer of tape on the gauze off to reveal my injury. A 6 inch cut was running down my side, and I knew it would leave a little bit of a scar. I'm not one to scar easily, but this may leave a little mark considering I'm going to have to get cut open again to remove the bar eventually.
It was still really bruised, especially around the incision, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd look. Camila slightly touched the cut and asked me, "Does it hurt?"
I winced a little at the pain, "When you touch it directly it stings, but it feels a lot better than I expected it to be."
She quickly pulled her hand away, "Oh my God, babe. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"Stop worrying, Camz. I'm okay." She smiled at me and kept silent. "What?"
Her giggle broke out, "You called me Camz. I like it."
"You're silly." I laughed. She pulled out a antibacterial spray from her first aid kit and warned me before the spray hit my stitches and burned me. "Oh my God, I feel like I'm burning in hell."
"Don't fucking say that, y/n. You know how I feel about you doing that." Camila scolded me. Camila had this thing about hell. Being a semi-religious person, she was completely aware of what the church said happened to gays that die. We've had this talk multiple times before. It scares the shit out of her to think about burning in a fiery lake because she can't control who she loves. There was one night she woke up from a terrible nightmare about hell, and she didn't come near me for a whole day.
"I'm sorry, babe." I knew I crossed a line. Her expression was a complete frown now as she carefully placed the gauze over my injury. She pulled pieces of tape off of the roll to hold the gauze down and make sure it didn't fall off. She got up as she started setting the left over gauze and tape back in the bag. I reached for her arm before she could walk away, "I really am."
Her eyes were sad now and she nodded walking away from me.
Jesus, I fucked up again? What gives?

I pulled my crew neck back on and grabbed my phone noticing I plugged it up to charge.

Y/N: Ally I keep fucking up with Mila. what the absolute shit is wrong with me?

Ally: what'd you do?

Y/N: how come it's always me? what if she's just being emotional.

Ally: .... because you have no filter on your mouth. that usually causes Mila to get upset sometimes.

Y/N: fuck. well, it was me THIS TIME

Ally: what did you say?

Y/N: she was spraying this stuff on my cut & I made a comment about it burning like "hell". emphasis on hell

Ally: y/n, are you serious? you know that camila hates that with a passion. that scares her so much.

Y/N: I know. now she won't even talk to me. I might as well just come back to Houston.

Ally: don't overreact. she'll get over it eventually but watch your mouth. I gotta go help my family buy presents. I'll text you in about two hours to check up. ily

I groaned as I grabbed Mila's pillow and covered my face with it. I screamed into the fabric as it muffled my anger. I felt the bed go down a little and someone pulled the pillow away from my face. It was my girlfriend who had a reassuring smile on her face, "I can see you're upset, but Mom wants us to go down and visit a little. But I'm sure it's because she doesn't want us spending time together in this bedroom."
"Go ahead, I don't want to. I keep fucking up." I complained pulling the covers under my arms and closing my eyes.
"No, you don't. I'm just really sensitive. You should know that by now, babe." Camila cooed trying to get me to stop beating myself up about the situation.
"I think I'll call Lauren to pick me up."
"Noooo, please. Not yet. I want you to stay for a little while longer. Sofi wants us to pick her up. I'm sure she'll be sad when she sees me and not you." Camila whined laying her head on my left side.
I stared at the ceiling and replied, "Have Austin take you. He has a car, I'm sure."
"I don't want to be in a car with him. That one time at the wedding was enough."
"Why are you so upset about him now, babe?" I asked her. "Every time I used to make terrible comments about how I hated his guts, you'd lecture me on how much I should appreciate he's giving you girls a chance."
She didn't move. "I heard about what you said to Ally that one night when you two left the gazebo. I didn't want you to think he had a chance. So, I've kind of pushed him away. But he's very persistent."
"God, why can't Ally keep a secret?" I groaned brushing my fingertips over her scalp lightly.
She sighed, "Dinah told me. She said Ally confided in her about it, and was worried."
"Well, now I'm a little more embarrassed. Especially since it went thrrough two people to get to you."
I could feel Camila's smile as her cheek muscles moved on my chest. "Don't be. I'm glad I know now."

--

We went to pick up Sofi and she had a huge smile on our face once she entered the escalade. "How was your day, Mija?" Camila asked turning around in her seat. I quickly brake checked her causing her to slightly tap the dashboard. She grew angry, "What the heck, y/n?!"
I gave her the same angry glance, "Safety first. This is why you're a bad influence." I hated when people didn't wear their seat belts and they sat in the front. It didn't bother me as much when people were in the back, but the front seat was a whole other thing.
Camila huffed, "You could've just said that!" Camila clicked the belt into the lock and then turned her head towards Sof, "Like I was saying before I was rudely interrupted, How was your day?"
Sofia laughed, "Great. I'm so happy that this is over. " I put my hand on the gear stick and Mila awkwardly sat hers on the console. I heard Sofi zip up her bag then put it on the floor. "Mila, hold her hand and stop being weird."
Mila laughed, "I'm not being weird I never really hold her hand when she drives."
I nodded. Sofi sounded upset, "Hold her hand, now! It's what couples do on TV."
Camila rolled her eyes and grabbed my hand to set it with hers on the console. "Is this better, Sofi?"
Sofi chuckled in the back seat, but didn't reply. She just took out her iPod and started to play some games.
When we got in the driveway, Austin was outside playing catch with Marisol's middle kid, Miguel. When he saw us pull up, he walked up to the passenger side to say hi to Camila. I guess when she opened the door, he didn't notice I was the person driving and he kinda looked disgusted. I hope I disgust him. He helped her out of the Escalde, which is my job, and wrapped his arms around Camila to bury his face in her neck. Mila looked a little stiff, but quickly relaxed when he let her go.
Sofi got out of the car and he ran to pick her up in a hug, "Lemme go, Austin! I don't like to be picked up!"
He quickly let go feeling so bad, "I'm so sorry, Sofi."
She rolled her eyes and stomped into the house without replying.
I got out of the car and walked up to the bedroom so I could text Lauren. To even know he's active in this house makes me sick. I can't be around him any longer.

Y/N: if you pick me up in the next 15, I'll give you 4 Percocets instead.

Lauren: make it 5 & I'll be there in 10 minutes.

Y/N: timing starts in 2 minutes

It was only 7 minutes before Lauren was ringing the doorbell. I answered it and she was glowing with sweat. She was trying to catch her breath, "I deserve 6 because I'm struggling."
I nodded, "Sure. We will take one when we get back." I allowed her to walk in. It wasn't a minute before Camila walked in looking like she was a little sad.
"You leaving?" Camila asked.
I nodded regrettably, "Yeah, but I will be back for Christmas. Okay?"
Camila pulled me in a hug, and Lauren coughed to warn us that Austin walked into the room. His boyish voice asked Lauren, "What are you doing, Laur? You planning on staying for dinner?"
Lauren shook her head and whipped her hair to one side, "Nope. Just picking up y/n."
I walked back down to give Lauren my suitcase. Austin replied, "Oh, well it was nice seeing you, y/n."
I gave him an evil stare, "I won't be gone long. I'll be back on Christmas." I needed to assure him he couldn't relax.
He looked a little upset, "See you then, y/n." He pulled Camila in closer to him by her waist to make me jealous.
I just turned away and slammed the front door because that was all I was able to get away with. I felt my side start hurting like shit. My body began to get weaker as I got in the car with Lauren. I said with an enraged tone to her, "Let's get fucked up."
"I never thought I'd see the day y/n was willing to repress her feelings with drugs. I like this new y/n." Lauren laughed putting her car in gear.
I giggled a little, "Shut up, Jauregui and drive."
"You don't have to tell me twice." Lo joked peeling off down the street.
