"Okay. We need some time to breathe and make a plan."

"Exactly," you back your dad up.

"A plan? Based on?" Samuel wonders.

"I'm gonna make a few phone calls to see if anybody ever heard of anything like this."

"Hmm. Ditto. Got a few trees I can shake," Rufus says.

Both men take out their phones while you, Sam, and Dean sit around and just watch Samuel. Well, you and Dean are. It seems that Rufus and your dad are getting nowhere with their connections because they hang up their phones with frustrated sighs. You're staring at Samuel with a death glare, thinking of all the ways you can kill him. He gets up to leave the room, but you're quick to block his path.

"Relax. Bathroom break. So unless you want to hold it for me..." he trails off.

"Don't get smart with me," you say in a low tone.

"Let him leave," Sam says, and you barely move out of the way.

He leaves the room, and you exchange looks with the brothers. There is no way you're going to let him go out by himself since you don't know what he could do. Rufus and Bobby let you three leave to follow Samuel to the locker rooms where the bathroom is. You three hide around the locker room, and when he exits the bathroom, you three reveal yourself. You and Dean are in front of him with Sam in the back.

"What?" the older man asks.

"Nothing. I'm just wondering how you sleep at night," you say.

"Like a baby. Thanks for asking."

"You fed me to Crowley. You let them lock me in a room with ghouls... while I am pregnant!" you exclaim.

"True, but what am I gonna do about it now? Do I blame you for wanting to kill me? Of course not, Y/N. What I did was..." he pauses and shakes his head before continuing, "but I'm not apologizing. I did what I did. I don't cry over spilled blood."

"So you really can just go on, like—"

"Just because you're Dr. Jekyll at the moment, doesn't mean you can get all high and mighty," Samuel interrupts his youngest grandson. "Don't forget, we spent a year together."

"Yeah, we did. We're blood, and you still sold us out."

"Trust me, what I did pales in comparison to what you did, and on more than one occasion."

"Alright, then tell me what I did."

"No, Sam, come on," Dean interrupts, moving from your side to Sam's so that he's standing between Samuel and Sam. "The only reason you're alive right now is that we're working a job. The minute we kill this thing... you're next."

"I'll make sure of it," you add.

"Okay, then. We'll just see," he chuckles.

What happens next is kind of in slow motion. It's not really, but your brain processes this information at a much slower rate for whatever reason. Samuel reaches into the back of his jeans to remove a gun. He never gave up all of his guns because the Khan worm got into him since the minute it left Dean.

You can't get into the middle of this, so you quickly move away from the action as Sam and Dean jump into it. The brothers knock Samuel into the lockers to try to get the gun out of his hands, but you can help here. Without moving from your hiding spot, you shoot a ball of magic at the gun, knocking it completely out of his hand.

Samuel gains the upper hand and shoves Sam and Dean off him before turning to you. Your eyes flash blue, but he just turns and runs out of the locker room. You rush over to Sam and Dean to help them up. You three rush out of the room and into the locker room where Rufus and your dad are.

"Samuel is infected. He got away. We lost him," you pant.

"So, what's the plan?" Sam asks.

"We stick together. We got to keep track of this thing and who it's in."

"You think there is only one of these things?" you ask.

"Let's hope so. We have you though, so plus one for us," Dean says.

"We need our guns. Open the locker," your dad says.

You walk over to the locker and use your magic to break the lock in your hands. Your dad opens the door and grabs the sack of guns before distributing them around whoever is left.

All of you set out to find Samuel because he could be anywhere in this building, and it's a very big building to cover. It's funny how you said you quit, yet, here you are. You're almost six months pregnant, and you're hunting a fucking Khan worm that's inside a man you want dead. No other mom is going to do what you're doing—you're like one super mom. Most women would look at you and think you're absolutely nuts for hunting when you're this pregnant, but it's normal for you. This is what you're supposed to be doing, and you can't seem to get out of it no matter how hard you try.

You're walking ahead of the brothers when you feel hands grab at your back. Whoever it is pulls you back, and you see Sam standing there with a concerned look on his face. Everyone points their guns at Sam, but he holds his hands up and shines his flashlight at the wall.

"Hey, hey, hold on. Look," he says and moves his flashlight from the wall to the ceiling to show that there is a booby trap for whoever crosses the wire line on the ground.

"Booby trap," Dean states.

"I'll be damned," your dad mutters.

"Come on, let's be more careful. Thanks, Sam," you say and go first, stepping over the wire line before continuing on. The men follow behind you, but they aren't as close as they were before. You cross into the next room when the big metal door slides shut as if something supernatural was doing that. You're completely cut off from the other guys, and you bang on the door in a panic.

"Dean!!" you yell.

"Y/N! Damn it. son of a bitch!" he yells.

His voice is muffled, but you can hear him perfectly.

"Dean!"

"Y/N, it's going to be okay!"

"I'm okay, Dean. I'm going to go around. Don't worry, the Khan worm can't get to me."

"Yeah, good idea. Please be safe!"

"Wait, Dean?" you pause.

"What?"

"If I see Samuel, I will kill him. I'm serious. Let's hope you get to him before I do. He's dead, Dean," you say seriously.

"We'll meet up later. Please be careful."

The men walk away from the door, and you turn shakily. You're going to be okay. It's all going to be okay. Okay, this is going to be fine. As long as you don't see Samuel, then you won't have to kill him. He can't get away with what you did, and your daughter needs someone to fight for her.

You make your way through the dark and desolate area of the Cannery, and you turn a corner when you spot him. Samuel stands in the middle of the room by some desk with his back turned to you. No one else is around, so you guess he's dying tonight.

"Don't move you asshole," you glare and grab your knife from your holster.

"Y/N," he chuckles and turns to face you.

He has a gun in his hands, and you realize you can't fight him off with a knife. You place the knife back in your holster and your magic swirls around your hands in a threatening manner, letting him know you will use it. You're going to give him the benefit of the doubt, but you're this close to killing him.

"What are you going to do? You're not going to kill me. You have a soul, like Sam. You're going to kill your own family?" he asks.

Something inside you snaps, and you shoot your hand out to him, letting your magic transfer from your body to his. Your magic swirls around his neck, and the tighter you make your fist, the tighter it gets around his neck. He doesn't seem that affected, but you know it's the Khan worm inside him that's making him act like this.

"You're not my family," you growl.

He raises the gun in his hands, and you have no choice but to take matters in your own hands. You relax your hand so it's not suffocating him, but the magic is still around his neck. Without blinking, you twist your wrist toward yourself, and Samuel's neck snaps in two, killing him instantly. He falls to the ground with a loud thud, and you lower your hand without a second thought.

"It's a shame I couldn't drag it out longer," you state to yourself.

Not even two minutes later, the rest of the hunters rush into the room.

"Y/N!" Dean exclaims and looks at you and then at Samuel.

"I told you I'd kill him," you say without any emotion. "I didn't see it leave, so it must still be in there."

"Are you okay?"

"No, Dean, none of this is okay. So do whatever you have to do, but I'm done," you sigh and move out of the way.

"Come on, help me get him back to the locker room," Sam states, and all four men grab the dead body while you stand back and watch.

The men take him back to the locker room and lay him on the table, wondering what they are going to do with him. You know it didn't escape his head because you would have seen it... right? In order to be sure, your dad takes a swab and checks his ears to see if there is black goo coming out of it.

"Tell me you got something," Dean says.

You're off to the side, sitting down on the bench with a hand to your stomach. It's really hurting now, and it's not just a stomach cramp. There is something seriously wrong, but it's not like you can leave them with this problem. Plus, you know your magic is and will always protect your little one.

"Nothing."

"You mean he didn't have the worm in him with I killed him?" you ask.

"Only one way to find out. Bobby, you got a cranial saw in the car?" Rufus asks.

"Of course," he nods and turns to leave the room.

"You're not going alone," Dean says, learning from his mistake from last time.

"Oh, no, he won't," Rufus butts in. "He won't. We will both go grab some tools and see about getting some power in this place. I want you and you to–okay, I want you and you to watch him and him and–alright, if anything crawls out of anybody, somebody step on it."

"Don't worry, I'll watch them all. You can trust me. Go," you say.

The two older men leave, and you look around the dark room. Instead of getting up and touching a live wire, you shoot your magic straight to the lightbulbs themselves, and the lights turn on in the room.

"Do you think I did the right thing?" you suddenly ask.

"Yeah, I did."

"I know I'm me, but I also know that it wasn't him. He was going to kill me. This thing is playing three-card monte with us."

"I don't know. I mean, I barely remember him, and what I do remember–it's not good. And what he did to us, but..." Sam trails off.

"There's a 'but'?" you gasp.

"I mean, I just can't help but think: what would Mom say?"

"You know what I think Mom would say? She'd say just 'cause you're blood doesn't make you family. You got to earn that."

"He's right, Sam. He was never family to us."

Your dad and Rufus come back with the cranial saw, and the talk immediately stops.

"Well, alright. Let's play operation," Rufus chuckles.

They plug in the equipment into the wall, and that's when your dad turns to the three youngest people in the room.

"You three want to take a breather?"

"We're good," Dean says.

"We're about to crack open your grandpa's grapefruit. Take a breather."

"Fine," you sigh and get up.

You three walk into the hallway and close the door behind you. You walk between the brothers to find something to sit comfortably on when you get a very sharp pain in your side, but on the opposite side as last time. You reach out and grab whatever you can to keep yourself from falling.

"Shit!" you curse.

You've grabbed Sam and Dean's arms, and they look at each other before looking at you.

"Y/N, you're scaring me with this. What is going on?"

"I have to go to the doctor after this. Something is wrong," you whimper.

"What do you mean, wrong?"

"Dean, it's not normal for pregnant women to have such sharp pains in their sides where the baby is. Witch or not. I have to get to the doctor."

"Okay, we'll go after when this is all over," Dean says.

Not long after you left the room did you hear a bunch of commotion. Sam and Dean leave your side to go check it out, and you straighten up. Maybe you're putting too much stress on your body right now. All you know is that you need a doctor to confirm that your little girl is okay. You head over to the brothers to see that Samuel is trying to beat and kill Rufus and your dad.

"What the fuck?"

You push on the door, but it won't budge. Laying your hands flat on the double doors, you give it one hard yank with your magic, and whatever was holding it closed broke into big chunks. The door flies open, and you finally get a good idea of what happened. Your dad and Rufus lie on the ground with Samuel, now dead, lying up against one of the pillars.

"Dad!" you exclaim and rush to his side.

Sam and Dean go to Rufus' side, make sure he is okay before helping him up. Your dad gasps awake, and you grab his hand so you can help get him to his feet.

"What the hell happened?" you ask. "Are you okay?"

"This can't be my afterlife because the four of you are here. What happened?" Rufus asks.

"When we left, Samuel was pretty dead on the table. Unless one of you had some revive powers you didn't tell me about, then it was the Khan worm," you state.

"So, how did he get double dead?"

"Bobby threw him against that," Dean says and points to the live wire sticking out of the wall. "I guess it was a live wire. It shorted and he went ape, then that thing crawled out of his ear."

"At least we know what tickles it. Electricity."

"Yeah. Now the question is, where'd it go? Did you see?" you ask the two men.

"No."
"Yeah. Well, either it bailed or it's in either one of you."

"Or, it's in one of you," Rufus accuses.

"No, we were awake."

"Did you have eyes on them?" Rufus asks you.

"Yes," you say, but not in a convincing way.

"Like I said."

"Alright, how about, uh, check for goo, right?" Sam suggests.

Since you know you can't get it, you stand back and watch all four men stick their fingers in their ears to check if they have black goo. You have a feeling that they're only going to get it if it tries to leave, so the goo wouldn't show up if it nested in someone's brain.

"Nothing," Sam says, and the rest of the men show they have nothing.

"It might just be gone," your dad suggests.

"No. It might have wised up and covered its trail."

"Okay, we'll settle this right here and now. Line up, because apparently, I'm the only one that can check if this thing is inside you."
