When got home after leaving Val's place I found myself pacing back and forth in my living room. Maya had put Elijah down for a nap and I was find till she left. I lost it and started pacing. Do I want Val to meet Elijah? I do like Val but it is love? No it's just like, sighing I sunk to the sofa turning on the table. What the fuck is this girl doing to me? I was flipping through the channels when I heard little feet coming down the hall way.
Elijah walked in still looking tired "hey buddy," I picked him up placing him on my lap.
"Hi daddy," he yawned laying his head on my chest. I laughed because he passed out the minute he did. I guess he worn himself out. I laid back on the sofa just watching T.V while holding Elijah I felt my eyes getting heavy.
I felt someone poke my face. I pushed it away and tried to get more sleep but then it happened again. Followed by soft laughing. I opened my eyes to see Elijah smiling at me "Hey buddy, how did you sleep?" I asked sitting straight up.
He made a little thinking face making me laugh at him "Good but I'm hungry now."
Setting him down I headed to the kitchen with him in toe. I was looking in the fridge for something to give him. But realizing I need to go to the store and buy some more food "Oh Daddy, can we have pizza?" I looked under my arm that was draped over the door to look at Elijah.
He was sitting on the floor playing with little cars. He looked up waiting for me to answer him. Thinking about it. Pizza doesn't sound bad at all maybe we can do a movie night. I wanted to spend time with him and it is Friday something we do every week. Closing the door I looked at him.
"Sure little man," I picked him up throwing him in the air making him squeal in surprise. But laughed when he came down. I set him on my hip walking over to my phone "so, this is what we are going to do little man." Elijah looks at me smiling.
"While I call the pizza guy. I want you to go put PJ's on and then picks some movies to watch-" I started but he yelled cutting me off.
"Oh! Can I bring my binkies and pillows?" he said, while jumping in my arms.
Giving him a smile "Sure thing buddy. We can make a little bed in here now go change." I set him down and gave his butt a pad he laughed and took off running to his room.
Shaking my head I call Me n Eds finally after the forth ring they picked up. Once I ordered half cheese and half pepperoni. Since Elijah doesn't like anything but cheese. Which I shrug it off. I finally went to change into some basketball shorts and a muscle shirt. I walked back to see that Elijah was laying he blankets down.
"Did you pick the movies you wanted to watch?" I asked, helping him. He was swinging the DVDs in his hand. When he finally stopped I saw they were all the transformer movies. I chuckled he love them.
After I got Elijah all set I went to grab the popcorn. A beer for me and juice for him I don't let him have soda. Only once in a great while. I didn't want him to have poor health, just as I set the things down the door bell went. Telling him not to make a mess with anything I got my money and headed to the door. Swinging the door opened I took in the pizza guy.
"It will be twelve filthy," nodding I handed him a twenty then grabbed the box from him.
"You can keep the change." His eye light up a bit. I guess that was a big tip.
"Thank you sir. Have a nice night." I chuckled as he took off down the drive way.
Walking back to Elijah I set the box done opening it. I felt my stomach rumble. I guess I'm hungrier than I thought "Hey buddy, how many do you want?"
"Two please," I smiled I'm glad he has manners. If not we would have to work on that.
Handing him the pizza I grabbed mine and took my seat next to him. I started to play the movie. Hours passed by and we were still watching the transformer movies. I have to admit the last one they came out with got me pissed. Why would they make them good them kill them at the end? Or how bumble bee seems to act black in this movie? Not that I'm against that.
It's just they changed shit too much. Looking over at Elijah I found him passed out. So without a second thought I pulled the blankets over him then turned the lights and TV off. Then laid down next to him pulling the blanket over myself. I pulled Elijah over to my wrapping him safely in my arms and joined him. But hoping tomorrow goes well.

I heard a distant ringing as I tried to sleep and gave a sigh. Why wouldn't it stopped only for it to start back up again. I felt Elijah move a little so not wanting it to wake him up. I untangled myself from him picking up my phone and walked into the kitchen.
"What," I snapped.
"When are you coming to the compound?" Boss asked, getting to the point. I looked at the time to see it was seven in the morning.
We had church at eight.
"I just got up and Elijah is still asleep." I stated starting a pot of coffee "he should be waking up soon, though. He never sleeps past eight."
"Alright, I'll hold church at ten. Gives you time to get yourself together and get down here." Grunting into the phone then hung up. I poured the coffee into a mug taking a sip.
I looked around the kitchen thinking. Should I shower first or cook something for Elijah. So when he wakes up its ready for him. Nodding my head, food it is I started to make pancakes with hash browns and bacon. He always loves that in the morning right when I finished. He walked into the kitchen and hugged my leg I picked him up and he laid his head on my shoulder. Making me frown something's not right.
"Hey buddy, you okay?" I asked, running my hand though his hair. He shook his head making my frown deepen.
"My tummy hurts," he finally said.
I placed my hand over his forehead and was glad he didn't have a fever. "Maybe we ate too much junk food last night?" I walked him to his room and laid him down.
I started to rub his stomach "Do you feel like you going to throw up?" I asked afraid he would he shook his head no.
"Okay, just lay down. While I go get you something to help with your tummy," I tucked him in more and got up.
Once I was in the bathroom I looked for children's Pepto Bismol. It should have him up and running soon. Well maybe not running. I wet a hand towel twisting it then walking back into his room. I sat back down on his bed and felt his forehead again still no fever. That's good. I poured the amount it said to give him. He took it and made a face making me chuckle a bit. I then wiped his face with the towel when I did this I saw him relax. That alone made me feel better. I then folded the towel in half so it looked like a burrito and placed it on his forehead.
I kissed his cheek "try and get some sleep and call me if you need me," I got up and went to his door.
"Love you daddy."
My heart filled warm hearing him say those words "I love you too, son."
I walked in to the living room falling back on the sofa thinking. I hope he doesn't get to sick. He's been looking forward to this day. Shaking my head I picked my phone up and called Boss. It rang a couple times before he picked up.
"What's up?"
"Elijah isn't feeling well. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it," I looked at the time eight.
"We need to have this church. Maybe we can swing by your place?" I thought about it for a minute.
"How many people we talking here?" I really didn't want them to bug Elijah too much.
I may be Sargent-at-arms for this club. But I'm a father first and I made that clear to Boss when Elijah was born. "Just the main ones who need to be there." I guess five people would be alright.
"Alright that's fine. You guys should come now though. I just put him down to sleep. It's a perfect timing." We hung up. Can this day get any worse?
I tossed my phone on the sofa I started to clean up the mess of blankets and the trash. Which didn't take too long then I hoped in the shower and changed placing my cut over my shirt. When I heard the door open followed by voice I knew they were here.
"Come on we can talk in my office." They nodded and followed me once there we got straight to the point. Which was to talk about the raid we did the other night.

So I am trying my best to throw in more Strider POV's and I think for here we are going to see more of Val and Strider bonding more and more and the develop of their relationship so let me know what you think...anyways till next time!
