If I am a friend, why hang wanted posters for my condemnation?
If I am free to breathe then why do you suffocate me?
If I am meant to fly then what tear off my wings and hang them as an ornament?
If you love who I am why do you beg me to change?
I said "I love you"
Not that I'm owned by you
I said "I hear you"
Not that your wish is my command
I said "I see you"
Not that you are all that I see
I said "we're friends"
Not that i am your devotee
I said "I'd die for you"
I didn't ask you o be the cause of my death.
