I smiled in contentment as I saw the door to the restaurant reopen. It had taken quite a few errands for Sunghoon and Sunoo together to get it running again. I looked sideways to find Sunghoon laughing to something Jay whispered to him in his ear.

He was finally happy after so many days, and honestly it felt good seeing him like this. My heart swelled up as his eyes formed into crescents, laughter bubbling out of him. I was snapped out of it as Juyeon nudged my ribs with his elbow.

"What was that for?" I scowled as I rubbed my ribs as he gave me a sly smile, grinning from ear to ear.

"I see you," He sang the words in a creepy way, reminding me of a horror mobile game.

"I can see Byun Areum smiling as she stares at another man than Wu Jaehyun—" He grinned right next to my ear as he leaned in. I muffled his loud voice by placing my hand over his mouth.

"Shut up, will you?" I scolded him, "I wasn't staring at Sunghoon." I rolled my eyes as he swatted my hand away, his smile getting progressively bigger by the moment.

"I never said you were staring at Sunghoon." He wiggled his eyebrows as my eyes went wide. I took in a deep breath, finding no other option than dodging the question and changing the topic.
"No, don't even dare to—"

"What's up, my friends?" Suah grinned as she stepped beside us. I was never more thankful of her than this moment. Juyeon narrowed his eyes at me, giving me 'we'll see later' look before turning to face Suah.

"Oh Suah," He smiled at her, "I wanted to talk to you about something," His smile cracked slightly, as Suah raised her eyebrows.

Not finding anything better to do, she shrugged casually, "Sure."

I watched as Juyeon asked her to follow him out of the place for some privacy, probably to the nearby park.

"Areum," I felt a tap on my shoulder as I turned around to find Sunoo, "Whom are you looking at?" He asked, a smile lingering on his face. He was looking unusually happier and giddy, tense excitement oozing out of the blonde headed man.

I didn't want to tell him the truth. Of course he would take it in the wrong way and I just didn't want to hurt him right then.

"Juyeon," I smiled, "He just left."

He nodded slowly, looking left and right before he leaned in towards my ear, "Did you see Kim Suah anywhere?" He whispered before he backed away, eyes squinted as if he had just made a drug deal with me.

My brain contemplated for a moment. I then quickly shook my head, "No, I'm sorry," I bit my lip in guilt as he sighed, his smile falling.

"I was planning to do it today," He said, blue visible in his eyes as he looked away from me, his hand darting up to run through his messy locks. Confess. My eyes widened as I took in those words.

Juyeon couldn't possibly want to talk to Suah about his feelings right now, could he? But did he even like Suah to start with?

I cursed under my breath, heaving a deep sigh. I couldn't do anything in this situation, and it would be unfair if I sided with anyone.

A feeling of guilt had gradually started to eat me out raw. It might break someone's heart today because of my one silly mistake. I was standing on a crossroad, it was either to side with Juyeon or with Sunoo. But wasn't it better to stay out than having to choose one?

"Areum," Sunoo waved his hand in front of my eyes as I blinked multiple times, "Are you okay?" He asked, concern laced in his voice. I didn't even notice when my brain had started wandering around, missing a couple of things he mumbled to me.

I nodded feverously, "I'm sorry, I've to go." I mumbled out as I turned around on my heels, wanting to leave the place, away from everyone. The look on Sunoo's face just added to my puddle of guilt I had started drowning myself into.

"Where are you going? I have something to tell—" Heeseung said as we bumped into each other.

"Not now, Heeseung." I groaned as I tried to push past him. But apparently to him, this seemed like another joke. Or so I thought.

He shook his head and blocked my path. Something was wrong with him.

"Move," I gritted my teeth, trying to show him that I was actually serious. His expression slowly faltered, his eyebrows furrowing as several people nearby turned around to look at me.

Heeseung stared at me for a solid second before grabbing my hand, "If this wasn't important then I wouldn't even care to bug you, honestly." He furiously muttered as the next I knew, he was pulling me out of the place.

His grip was so tight, it was starting to give in a numbing pain on my arm.

"Here," He opened the door to his car, "Sit," He ordered as I stared at him in disbelief, "Areum, sit!" He groaned, motioning over my shoulder. I was honestly scared of what was coming, Heeseung was usually the cheery type. He never acted like this in front of me.

Once I had seated myself in the passenger's seat, I let Heeseung start the car.

"Where are we going?" I voiced out, it being laced with several emotions. Annoyance, fear, guilt. Fear stood out the most at this point.

He looked in the rear-view mirror of his car as he reversed the vehicle, his mouth apart in concentration, turning onto the roadway. He took a deep breath, "My studio."

"At half past four in the morning, an ambulance was spotted in front of his house," Heeseung sighed as he handed me the photographs, "No one's home yet, it means they are all still at the hospital."

My mouth was agape as I stared at the blurry and dark pictures, my heart pounding against my rib cage. The red ambulance sign could be made out clearly amongst the haze of the photographs.

Anxiety started to fill me up as I reached for my phone, dialling in a number from my recent call logs. I sucked in a deep breath as the phone was picked up after quite a few rings.

"Jaehyun?"

There was a commotion in the background before it was silence again, only calm breathing could be heard from the other side of line.

"Areum?" A woman's voice reached my ears, "Uh, Jaehyun has gone out with his friends," Jaehyun's mother chuckled dryly. Her voice was gloomy, tone pained. "He apparently left his phon"

I hung up. I got the confirmation I needed.

"Please," I mumbled out, "Please call Sunghoon here." And even though I knew it wasn't fair to ruin his big day like this, I only craved his comfort at that moment.
