I watched as an abnormally jaunty Sunghoon tossed a hat over my head. He certainly was in all high spirits, maybe by the thought of where he was taking me, or maybe just as excuse to run away from our problems.

He never seemed this euphoric and giggly before, to a point that I was actually worried if he was okay. All I had seen was his intimidating and closed off side, hence this was something new to me.

He was dressed in a plain white loose shirt, matching with shorts that ended just below his knees, stripped with dark blue patterns. Slipping on a pair of off-white sneakers, he completed the look.

He was looking undeniably handsome— Not to mention the fact he left a few buttons undone, giving out a hint of his collarbones— but dressing up in an outfit that was fit for the summer, and sunny days seemed a bit of an odd idea to me. It was raining outside. Literally.

Just as I thought he couldn't get any weirder, he emerged with a straw hat, the accessory loosely handing down his wrist through its tightening strings.

Man looked like he was ready to go to a long vacation to Bahamas.

A shiver ran down my spine as he swung open the door, cold, humid air penetrating my night shirt. I didn't have clothes to change into, and of course Sunghoon didn't have any of the female clothes in his house.

Dropping by to take my stuff from Jaehyun's apartment was Sunghoon's idea. But I didn't want to face Jaehyun after yesterday night. Not yet.

"We'll probably stop by a store to buy some dresses for you on the way, hmm?" Sunghoon spoke aloud before he sprung open the beautiful purple umbrella.

I nodded, stepping towards him and under the umbrella's shelter to avoid myself from getting wet, as almost immediately his masculine scent paired with a faint smell of lavender soap enveloped my senses.

We quickly made our way towards the same old black Maserati, and it gave its familiar royal beep once Sunghoon had unlocked it, the headlights flashing with a faint white light momentarily.

Once I was seated inside the passenger's seat, I watched through the heavily mopping windows as Sunghoon quickly scurried over to the other side, hopping in hope to not get his sneakers dirty.

A heavy sigh out of relief made up and out through his mouth as he laid back into his seat after checking his still clean, stainless white sneakers, and I couldn't help but laugh at it.

He smiled once my laugh reached his ears, before leaning forward to turn on the window wipers, clearing the view in front of the car. The noise vaguely reminded me of Heeseung's laugh, as I unconsciously snorted at my thought process.

Sunghoon seemed to not have noticed seeing he gave it a deaf ear, before he turned towards me. Shooting me a grin, he said something which left me baffled at the very thought of the expensive taste that the man in front of me had.

"Ready to go shop for some Gucci, m'lady?"

"What even—" I groaned as I read the price of the dress Sunghoon had reluctantly handed me to give a try on.

I didn't have enough money with me at that moment, and he said that the treat was on him. Man was stubborn, saying he had 'plans' for the day and I had to follow whatever he said for now.

Even though I ended up agreeing to his terms and conditions for a 'fairly peaceful' day ahead, I couldn't help but feel perturbed since the price of this dress could have probably paid off my rent.

I was sitting on the small red pouf inside the changing room with a ridiculous amount of dresses, tops and denims on my lap as I sorted them out one after the another, hanging them on the door's hooks.

Finally settling on the white sundress with beautiful yellow sunflower patterns, I zipped it up by lending help from the mirrors around myself. The dress had caught my eye at the very moment Sunghoon had turned up in front of me with it in his hands.

Sunghoon was absorbed in whatever he was reading on his phone, his eyebrows knitted together as his sole concentration was on the device. He had a few white tops— which he had bought for himself— slinging over his shoulder, as he leaned against the wall, waiting for me to finish up.

I cleared my throat once, looking down at my dress and straightening away the invisible creases of the floral outfit. Sunghoon immediately looked up, his mouth parted slightly as he scrutinised every detail.

"It's beautiful," He complimented, pocketing his phone as he walked towards me. He took the fabric material of my dress between his fingers— which was moving slightly with the breeze of the air-conditioned, luxurious changing room— checking the quality of the clothes with an awed expression.

"You look beautiful." He whispered once he had let go of the dress, turning me around by my shoulders, to face the mirror. I saw him smile from behind me, before I let my eyes wander on the dress.

The dress showed off the beautiful side of my body, something I could be proud of, as it flowed elegantly through the curves of my hips, falling before my knees like satin ribbons.
It was perfect, the dress was everything I could imagine, but still somewhere, it felt like something was missing.

The velvet touch of his fingers right at my neck snapped me back, my undivided attention finding its way to the breathing beauty behind me. He brushed the hair away from my shoulders, his fingertips leaving a burning sensation as they brushed along the supple skin of my neckline.

Right before I could clear up my mind of the excess amount of steam filled up by the proximity of his touch, his satin-like voice brought back the haze.

"I think this is what you're looking for." He breathed out, the depth of his vocals sending me into a state of mystification momentarily.

I wanted to make sense of what he said, I really wanted to, but my mind wasn't cooperating, at all. I looked down to his hand outstretched before me, a small golden necklace laying dead on his large palm and it all immediately made sense.
