Taeyong's POV

Times like these are the ones when I wonder why I'm even in this group. All I wanted to do was introduce Chaemin to everybody normally.

After successfully calming everyone down at last, I dismiss everyone to meet Chaemin in SMALL GROUPS. She's probably intimidated by all of us now.

As I get down from the chair - which, by the way, I usually would never stand on, but desperate times call for desperate measure - I spot Haechan trying to sneak away with the Dreamies.

"Lee Donghyuck!" I call, watching as the boy slowly pivots around, sensing my serious tone. I almost laugh at the terrified expression on his face.

Of course, I'm not actually that mad at him, he just needs to learn his lesson.

"Come with me," I order dominantly. I see the Dreamies casting sympathetic looks at Haechan before disappearing to other parts of the overly crowded dorm.

"I'm sorry, hyung," Haechan apologizes, hanging his head in remorse.

"Sorry doesn't correct past mistakes, Haechan. What are you going to do next time?" I prompt him, not done with my fun. I usually don't play with him like this, but this is kind of amusing, to be honest.

"I'll ask hyung if I can call everyone over," Haechan answers sadly.

"Okay, now I'm going to ground you for the rest of the day in your room," I continue, trying to keep my expression serious.

"Sorry, hyung, I promise I won't do it-" Haechan starts, but gets cut off by me laughing.

"You really thought I was that mad at you? I'm not that mean. But now that I think about it, remember to keep your promise about asking me about stuff," I gasp, almost tearing up.

"Hyung! You're so mean!" Haechan exclaims in disbelief before running off, probably to tell the whole world about my terrifying, unbelievable, never-done-before stunt.

Once the fun's over, I decide it's about time for me to go confirm that Chaemin is still alive and has not been strangled by anyone or died of laughter yet. Not gonna lie, our behavior probably takes some time getting used to for the average outsider.

Luckily, Chaemin seems to be breathing and well, now talking to Winwin, who's the same age as her. Not surprised she decided to hang out with the most adored member of our group.

After all, Winwin might be her bias. I need to ask her about that soon.

I start thinking about when Chaemin needs to leave so she won't get caught when Jaehyun runs up to me from his room.

"Where's the food? Jungwoo is about to talk my ear off about how hungry he is," he sighs, complaining about the food fighter.

"Oh, it's by the door. I didn't expect for the whole group to be here, though. Hopefully they ate already," I reply, gesturing to the large bags by the door where Johnny left them.

"Thank goodness," Jaehyun sighs in relief, heading over to the bags to bring his roommate his precious food.

"Your dorm is really nice," a voice compliments from behind me. I jump, then realize it's the voice of the only female in this dorm.

"Thanks," I respond, turning around to face her. "Do you want to see my room?" I don't know where that invitation came from. I'm just blurting random things out and I don't even know why.

"Sure!" she agrees. Without thinking, I take her by the hand and gently pull her towards my room so we won't get separated in this mess.

After encountering some "looks" from the other guys, we get to my room and I take her in. Realizing that I'm still holding her hand, I quickly drop it and awkwardly pretend to survey my own room.

"Oh! I recognize this from V LIVE!" she observes, glancing around.

"Really? Nice!" I awkwardly reply, my face still warm.

"Yeah, but your background is usually kinda dark. I really like it!" she compliments, causing a wave of relief to flood through my body.

"Thanks," I say, playing with a toy figure on my cube shelves. Why am I so awkward? I guess I just don't interact with people of the opposite gender a lot.

"By the way, when should I go?" Chaemin questions.

"Johnny hyung said that our manager will be back in an hour or so, so you're free to go home anytime you want," I respond.

"Oh, okay, thanks," she says.

"Do you want to go meet more people?" I ask, unsure what to do in my room. It's pretty boring here, in my opinion.

"Sure!" Chaemin decides, waving as she exits the room to meet the rest of the members and get to know them, which takes a long time.

After she leaves, I take a few deep breaths to calm myself down.

Why do I feel like this?
